  Yes, it is possible to install the Japanese language on your curve 9220, all you had to do is download a pack of BONES all the language and then install it on your PC, then he had to use BlackBerry Desktop Software to add the Japanese language. You can try this way:

  1. download and install on your PC of any OS pack with any language or multi-language pack by carriers

  • (Make sure you download for the same phone model)

  2. download and install the latest version of BlackBerry desktop from here BlackBerry desktop software software

  I just had a 8120 from Rogers in canada and am curious to know if it has Japanese language support. I can't find any info in the manual of junk of Rogers. The company that I work is a Canadian subsidiary of a Japanese company, so a lot of my email of bosses is in Japanese. I did a search through the forums and through the support database perfectly useless. The results of the search of the database of support exist mainly press without any useful technical details which I find exceptionally delayed.

  Out of curiosity, does anyone know if a specific model has asian language support is available preinstalled in canada? Maybe a telus or bell phone.   So many people understand my background. I'm not a programmer on any level, so it was not simple or easy for me to understand because I don't know anything on the blackberry OS.

  I assumed it would be a good place to find this extra level of support provided by telus or rim. Of course, I was wrong to think that the people here were all useful information to share. • Missing language of blackBerry Smartphones entries on the Blackberry Curve 9300

  I lived a few problems with my Blackberry Curve 9300 (very slow and low application memory, etc.) and so I decided to restore the factory settings. After that, I restored my backup file but when I finished the configuration and tried to change the input language, the Portuguese file was missing (I only have English and English WE available).

  I have instaled the firware once tried to restore a backup completed yet another, but nothing has worked so far.

  From your post, I can't say whether you have followed all the necessary procedures. Therefore, you might need, some, or none of this...

  Language support on a BB is a combination of:

  1. Installation on your BB, a bundle of BONES which includes the language of your choice
  2. Including, in this installation, the language you want (two locations, I recall)
  3. Activation, on the BB, the language of your choice

  So, please, start here... it's how you choose the package operating system appropriate for your needs:

  • KB05305 Location of support for BlackBerry smartphones

  Then choose your package via this Portal:

  • http://us.BlackBerry.com/support/apps-and-software/desktop-and-device-download-sites.html

  Then, from a PC, you can install any compatible OS package (for example, for your BB model number) to a BB via this procedure:

  • http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/BlackBerry-device-software/how-to-reload-your-operating-syste...
  • Don't forget ICT the boxes on the screen to select components to install, ALL those relating to the language of your choice

  Note Although written to "recharge" and the storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade or recharge any BB device model - depends on the operating system package you download and install on your PC. If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML...   I recently received a bold 9700 on O2 UK, tried all available on the web (on this forum too), to simply display Chinese and Japanese, feels impossible on such a 'Advanced' phone on the BB, use 2 years... first time iphone, thought has a time for a new taste, didn't expect was so * beep * complicated. Why don't you just come with all languages as the iphone? I think now to swap it with an iPhone 3 g. However, if anyone can help me on would be GREAT ~ I can not even pay for it ~

  PS: I really don't understand, on instructions, CD that come with phone have all Chinese as a language option, but not the phone itself? BlackBerry waiting for all the phones they sell in the United Kingdom must be British? or European? all support to Asians living in the United Kingdom at all?  man, so disappointed.

  I need assistance with my moblile bb. My problem is I don't think my mother tongue in my bb phone, Polish language should be avialable on this moblile AFAIK.   1. There is no official release of OS 5.0 for the "BOLD".

  2. instructions for installing any OS on your device:

  1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
  2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
  3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on the amount of data you need to back up and restore during the process. Once he did load the new OS, it will reboot (it may do it twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with a hourglass up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
  If, for any reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply reconnect to the PC and run Loader.exe again and it should load the operating system on the device.

  It's hard to say.  You can lose some built-in applications, but most seem to be present anyway.  One thing however, make sure that you download the correct version of the OS for the phone on the right (for example to ensure that if you use a 9530 in the United States, you download an OS for the 9530).  I'm a little tired of the version you said just... it's a new I've ever seen.  Check your messages for a bit more info.
