  • enable java script in my browser

I try to activate the java script so that I can access many sites such as my site Web of the College, the adobe Web site. I tried to follow the instructions on the Mozilla support forum, but I don't see java script in my plugins. It's desperate! I would be grateful any advice...

If the above does not help...

Sometimes a website will say that JavaScript seems to be disabled even when it is turned on. The possible causes for this are:

    • A script that launches a plugin, such as Flash, does not work, and the script simply identifies the problem incorrectly
    • An add-on filter page, for example, script blocking or any ads, and another script in the page detects the missing element and identifies the problem incorrectly
    • An external program as a security suite selectively blocks some scripts, and another script in the page detects the missing element and identifies the problem incorrectly
  • Java script must be enabled

I use POGO.com to play games.

When I try to connect, I get an error saying I need to have java script active.

It is activated and yet I get this error.

Everything works correctly when you use Internet Explorer.

This occurred for about a month now.

    Any help is appreciated.

Appreciate the answers guys, but I'm not the only one world that is having this problem.

However, it happened when you use Internet Explorer after I had posted here, so I think it is not da browser.

Yet, the site insists on the fact that it is not them either.

Tried different versions of Java and the same things continue to happen.

Everything is set to "Always active" and no problem with all the other sites using Java sign ins... sooooo... I think there must be something with the site Web of POGO.

Thanks again and lets consider cela an issued in FireFox is closed.

  • Thunderbird Java Script error

Sometimes - usually the first use in a day - Thunderbird displays the error message attached looks at her from a java script. Unfortunately, the error message is not very explicit and hides in the backgrownd (visible only when all other windows closed or reduce) makes it difficult to pin point its source.

I'm pretty sure his Thunderbird (or one of its addons) because this only appears when I use TB but, given that it is inconsistent, it is difficult to test. I think maybe it's the script that automatically removes unwanted emails.

It started to happen after I upgraded to W10.

No idea where its from and how to stop it?

I think I found the source of this message. It seems to come from some software of motif that has been installed by PlusNet Assist to monitor the line broadband.
It seems that PlusNet Assist does not work in W10 (and has not worked in W8 either but I found useful in W7).
I uninstalled so I hope that the message will disappear (but, as I said, I can't reproduce at will so I'll just keep my fingers crossed).
Sorry to have accused Thunderbird but at the time which was where the message appears to be.

  • What snap is "Java Script"?

Suddenly this morning I receive a message that Java Script is not enabled. I am not able to access Yahoo! mail, Gmail or iCloud mail. When I search for "Java Script" I get 300 + add-ins, the top 50, or appear not to be simply Java Script. What is the exact name of a supplement Java Script that will allow me to use my e-mail programs?

JavaScript is not an add-in, but a language like basic, C, java and so on. It is often used on web pages to create dynamic effects like the movement of the figures and similar effects. Therefore, it is included in the HTML itself. For various reasons you might want to disable the ability to run java scripts, for example for security reasons and in older versions of Firefox, there is an option in the settings were you could turn on or off the ability to run these scripts. Nowadays, this option is removed, but is included in those more hidden that reach you by writing about: config in the address bar. If you do, you will get a warning "This might void your warranty!" and after clicking on the I'll be careful, I promise!-button you will enter the words: config page. Research of javascript.enabled, which is normally set to true. Double-click this line after selection, press enter on the keyboard and the value is going to switch from the other value, false.
However, you may have loaded an add-on that blocks java script. I can imagine there are a lot of them. One that I use is NoScript, which allows me to choose individually what web sites I will allow running scripts in java on my computer, and who I would not deny this. Take a look of the modules you have loaded, so maybe one of them can block the ability of java script.

  • V21 Firefox cannot find the files if file *.htm used "style windows" path slashes to the java scripts (on Unix, hosting with apache)

Hello. I find a strange behavior of Firefox v21. If the 'windows' path used *.htm file slashes to the java scripts (on Unix, hosting with apache). Firefox says 404, but other browsers (such as Opera, Chrome, IE10) works properly with this.

You should use slashes in links so that they work properly in Firefox, otherwise Firefox will escape them that 5% C as you can see if you would them hover in the case of a real link (this is obviously not possible in this case).

  • Enable Java script is checked, but the site says that it is not authorized

After getting the following message when you try to log in my Bank I checked FireFox\Tools\Options\Content and found that the box to enable java script has BEEN verified. FireFox is acting as if she is not allowed. How to solve this?

Well, it is finally resolved. Thank you all for the help. A technician from one of my brokerage sites, which had a link blackened think there might be an announcement on. He clearly had me on history and cookies. then led me to a link to reset FireFox. After resetting everything works AND I have not lost all bookmarks or log in information. It's a relief to have FireFox again.

I especially thank Cor - el and the great search engine in the FireFox support site. I'm pretty sure I'm going to need you all again some time; but for now I can just go on my work.

  • Why did the Java script works on my work for Internet explore, but not for Firefox RSS feeds?

I finished building the Web site for my girlfriend, and the rest is the RSS feed. • a web site that I use every day tells me that I must now download flash and enable the java script, how can I do this?

I use the American family site every day, and today when I went to play the games that I play every day instead of the game coming to the top, a notice that says I have to install flash and activate java script in order to see these games.

You do not have the Shockwave Flash 11.0 r1 plugin so Flash should work.

    You can test here:

That leaves option that you've blocked JavaScript.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  • Java script in the address bar

    Hi))

After an update to version 6 has been done, I can't run java script in the address line of the browser

How can I do in this version?

You can run is more JavaScript code via the address bar in Firefox 6 and later versions.

You see an error message in the tools > error Console.

Now, this code gets a security principal null for security reasons and has no effect (Bug 656433).

You must create a bookmarklet (keyword) and run the code by invoking this bookmark.

NoScript can allow you to run this code through the address bar, see:

For me, this happened from disabling, but do not uninstall McAfee site Advisor. Recommend site completely uninstalled and the problem disappeared completely. I had turned off before site Advisor, but it seems after a update to McAfee, he was back and then turn it off again caused this problem.

Go to "uninstall a program" or "add/remove programs" in control panel. Find McAfee in your list (McAfee total protection for me). Click it and then click "Uninstall/Change" (right there in XP, up above in Vista or 7). I don't remember exactly what you see after that, but at one screen I was given the choice to uninstall the McAfee total protection and/or the Site Adviser. You can just check the Site Adviser and just uninstall the Site Adviser while retaining the rest of the McAfee protection.

    Good luck!

  • Clean install of windows 7 and firefox 4, java script works does not on various websites

A clean installation of windows 7 and firefox 4, there is a problem with java script, so far noticed on bbc iplayer (videos do not play) and ebay (pop-up menu options on pages like 'my ebay summary' just don't pop up), everything works fine in internet explore?
tried safe mode, tried with and without flash and java runtime, everying of compensation has tried, tried to load the settings of internet explore...
    WON'T WORK!

You have security software with enhanced settings that can block JavaScript in Firefox?

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

    See:

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If this new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)
