Jdev IDE crashes the App module, data model tab

Hello

We use Jdev12c and it crashes the App module tab of data model, because of this problem, we are not able to carry out our project. We have the time. We use TortoiseSVN subversion for our project. He worked until the Commit. After that I have validated my project, Im facing this problem. It works everywhere. But when you go to the App Module, DataModel Tab, it crashes. Any help. ? Dear Kdario,

Thank you very much for your answer. I would check out n get to you.

Yes, because for the moment, we have 35 tables and each table we VO, your almost 40 we have. But 40 your causing this problem. ? because you have to add much more. All of the suggestions. ?

  • Is it possible to call a custom method in the App Module to a backing bean?

I would like to know if a custom in the App Module method can be called from inside of a pod of support.
I don't know if it is logically just call, to a backing bean, a custom in the App Module method. But I would like to know if this is necessary or if it is possible.

    Hello..
Yes it is possible. You must add this interface method customer of AppModule. Now you can see this method in data Controls(Refresh the data control). To call this method using bean, should be added as an action method links (click on links > + > methodAction > and create the binding of the action).
Now, you can call this method in the bean class.

  • Right-click in the selection of data Modeler only shows "Properties".

    Hello:

I played with maker of data for an existing schema and I am unable to follow directions in most tutorials because supposedly a right click on a table in the diagram or in the browser of data Modeler is supposed to bring up a menu, but when I right click I just see "Properties". Is it a permission thing? I did a relational schema by dragging objects from the view of connections on a diagram and I see them all.

In particular, I tried to create a subview in the browser, but right-clicking on subviews [] gives me nothing. The most choices I get any level are 'Hide' 'Show' 'properties '.

  • Impacts on the performance of the attributes from the features of data model design

I'm trying to understand the implications of the performance of two possible data model design.

Here is my structure of the entity:

    Global > person > account > option

Generally, when running, I instantiated a person, a single accountand five option's .

There are various amounts determined according to the age of the person who should be assigned to the correct option.

    Here are my two designs:

    Design a

attributes on the entity of the person :
    age of the person
    its option 1 amount
    its option 2 amount
    its option 3 amount
    its option quantity 4
    its option 5 amount

    attributes on the option endity:
    amount of the option

    support table rules:
    option = amount
its option 1 amount if the option is number 1
its option 2 amount if the option number 2
its option 3 amount if the option number 3
its 4 option amount if the option is number 4
its option 5 amount if the option is number 5

    Two design

attributes on the entity of the person :
    age of the person

attributes on the entity of the option :
    amount of the option
of the option option 1 amount
of the option option 2 amount
of the option option 3 amount
    of the option quantity 4
of the option option 5 amount

    support table rules:
    option = amount
of the option option 1 amount if the option is number 1
option 2 amount option if the option number 2
of the option option 3 amount if the option number 3
the option amount 4 If the option is number 4
option 5 option amount if the option is number 5

Given two models, I can see what looks like an advantage for a design that, when running, you have less attributes (6 on retirement member + 1 on each of the 5 options = 11) as two Design (1 on retirement members + 6 on each of the 5 options = 31), but I'm not sure. An advantage to design two might be that the algorithm must do less through the structure of the entity: the table of rules support everything for the amount of the option option.

Anyway there is a table of rules to determine the amounts:

    Design a
    its option 1 amount =
    2 if age = 10
    5 if age = 11
    7 if age = 12, etc..

    Design two
of the option option 1 amount =
    2 if age = 10
    5 if age = 11
    7 if age = 12, etc..

Here, it seems that the one would have to cross over the structure of the entity for the design of two.

The design will have a better performance with a large amount of rules, or it would make a difference at all?

    Hello!

In our experience, just think about this kind of stuff if you were dealing with 100's or 1000 instances (usually through ODS). You have a very low number, the differences will be negligible, as you should (in general) go with the solution that is most similar to the material of origin or the understanding of the business user. Also, I guess that's an OWD project? Which may be even better, the inference is performed gradually when new data are added to the modules, rather than in a 'big bang' as ODS.

It seems that the model 1 is the easiest to understand and explain. I wonder why you have the option at all entity, because it seems to be a relationship to one? If the person cannot have only a single amount of option 1, option 2 amount etc, and there's only ever going to be (up to) 5 options... is this assumption correct? If so, you can keep just like the attributes at the level of the person without the need for bodies. If there are other requirements of an instance of the option then, of course, use them, but given the information here, the option feature doesn't seem to be necessary. It would be the fastest of all :-)

Whatever it is, that the number of instances is so low, you should have nothing to fear in terms of performance.

I hope this helps! Write back if you have more info / questions.
    See you soon,.

  • Throw the exception of the app module

    Hello
I use ADF 11.1.1.2 verison and my application is developed using the procedure (we use no BC)...
The approach I use is as follows-
    1. create a procedure
    2. create a module app and call the procedure of this app module.
3 - expose a customer interface and this method (data control) to see the data...

My question - when I create a method and expose it (visible sound in the customer interface), which allows you to create a table or any other component its works very well.
But according to my new req I have thrown an exception from this method in the case of any problem (let's say not able to update the db data)
When I throw the exception of the method available in module app method disappears and is not available to be exposed to the client.

Please let me know how we need to do something specific to raise exceptions in this case.

    Thank you
    Shubhangi

    Subhangi,

Make sure you throw an exception which extends from local.

  • Don't forget not and by referencing the App modules.

    Goodday,

I have problems when searching for these forums and knowledge base when you are looking for a way to tell my Java program to check the stored connection information.   Let me break it down into steps so you can better understand what I mean.

    The user downloads app.

    The user opens App

App throws a screen username & password

    Connection info password user

App authenticates the user on a third party server

UserInfo App stores for future use

    User closes the application

The user returns to the App later

App sees the user has entered valid user information, ignores the login screen and goes directly to the 'meat' of the application.

I found how to store information about the users of the BlackBerry.  However, calling later in possible order ignore this login screen is what I m having trouble finding.

If this has been posted before and responded, I can be using the bad for the search keywords.  I ve tried 'SEO saved connection info' ' using the saved connection info ' 'memory Flash connection info.'

Any help or pointers in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

I can tell you the steps on how to do this.

Whenever the application start check the userInfo in a persistent store. If not there is not display the login screen. DO all the stuffs of connection and after sucessfully verify the user save these crdetial save these data in the persistentstore.

For next time, when you search for the UserInfo he will be there in the persistent store, you can skip the login process and go directly to the home screen of your application.

    It will be useful.

    Thank you

  • Problems with the debugger in Data Modeler Beta DDL Custom Transformation Scripts

    Hello

I use Oracle SQL Data model Beta 4.1.0.866.

Currently, I am working on a project to generate the models in PHP for our relational database models MVC framework. Some settings must be entered from the user,

so, I'm importing Java classes for JOptionPane in the Transformation of the customized with DDL Scripts

    var ji = new JavaImporter(java.io, java.lang, javax.swing, java.util);

I can use these classes with no problems, but when I want to use the debugger, it cancels the execution with this error message:

    debugger_data_modeler.PNG

Is this a bug or am I missing something here?

And would it not possible and even preferable to processing entirely in Java instead of JavaScript scripts?

    Hello

    Try it following the syntax:

    var ji = new JavaImporter(java.io, java.lang, Packages.javax.swing, java.util);

And would it not possible and even preferable to processing entirely in Java instead of JavaScript scripts?

Well, it's not on the use of JavaScript, it's scripts in Java Platform - JSR 223 https://www.jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=223

So if you have a JSR 223 engine of script in the JAVA virtual machine you can use your scripting language. We simply provide a setting where you can put your scripts to do something useful.

We don't know in advance what language will be used. JavaScript engine is included in Java6 and Java7 so this is the reason why our examples are in JavaScript.

Using Java instead of JavaScript don't make the job easier, look at the part of import here - Re: impossible to cast objects in the Script SQL DM 4.0 Transformation

  • Why change the background image of the dashboard of data crash the app?

I'm changing the background image of my dashboard (on a third generation iPad).  Whenever I try to make the change, the data dashobard app breaks down just.  Even if I try to change to a color, the application crashes.  I can insert a picture without problem.  I guess it's just a bug or something but has anyone else seen this problem?

I was able to reproduce this crash with the following steps:

-Set up a background image of a page

-Copy the dashboard somehow. You can reproduce the dashboard, share by email, export and re - import OR clouds, etc.

    -Open the copy of dashboard

-From the copy, change the background image (for a solid color or another image)

If you set a background image of a page, close and reopen your dashboard and then try to change the background to something else, you will encounter this error.

Solution: If you have the original background image in your Camera Roll, you can fall as an image on the same page (Photo Palette, select in the library). Then you can remove this image and change the background also image.

If you do not have the original image, you may need to start with a new dashboard. (For each page on the old dashboard, you can tap the bottom, select all, copy / paste on another dashboard).

There is a similar problem with images removed, if you shared the dashboard and you work on a copy. In this case, the solution is to copy and paste the image before deleting. (Otherwise, you'll get a dialog error instead of an accident, but the image is not clear).

I deposited cars for these issues internally. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This problem has been resolved by deleting and recreating the java class of the view object files.

  • Why the App folder Data has it 97GB?

My brand new computer (running Windows 7 Professional) shows that I've used 272 GB.  My user name is 192 GB.  My music takes over 95GB, but I didn't know what else could be chewing a lot of space.  When I got to the folders within my user name, I see an App Data folder that says he has 97 GB. Are there really 97GB, or is it pretty much a mirror of my music and other files that I have?  If not, where are the 95 GB which I can't explain?  I have looked in all other folders under my user name, but see no other who have same 1 GB in them.  I guess it must be a duplication of my music somewhere, but I can't.  I would really like that disk space.

Yes, I had.  It is filled with folders of files for Microsoft, Google, HP and others.  I put the cursor on each one and do not see anything with any size or related to music.  I'm pretty good at working with the software, but when it comes to technical issues like that, I'm lost.  Any suggestions on what to look for?

The Appdata folder should have three subfolders. Local, weak and roaming.
One of those MUST have a huge amount of data.
Right-click on each file and make the properties in order to limit, and then open the offending file and do the same until you identifiede hace occupying all the space... If you find my answer helpful, please click the button "Vote as helpful"! Thank you! My Blog
