JDeveloper/ADF 11.1.2.4 & Weblogic 10.1.3.6: does anyone know patch number for the execution of Application development?

Following statements of:

http://www.Oracle.com/WebFolder/technetwork/JDeveloper/HOWTO/11114/managedserver/wlsadfms.html

On the ADR installation step:

Downloads of application Development Framework & lt; / title & gt; & lt; meta name = & quot; Title & quot; content = & quot; Application Devel...

"Note - * 11.1.2 Oracle ADF Application Development Runtimes are provided as a patch for the complete Oracle ADF Runtime and is available through the Support of Oracle." "Read the release notes for your specific version for more information."

I couldn't find under the stamp after several searches. Does anyone have any info on the installation of Runtime ADF 11.1.2.4 on weblogic 10.1.3.6?

Also, is there a way to install the runtime directly from JDev 11 g? It's a feature of JDev 10 g:

  • Problems of Installation of the Runtime/Weblogic JDeveloper/ADF

There seems to be a lot of confusion about installation and deployment on a stand-alone Weblogic Server. I read a number of posts on this topic.

As a question or a proof that my applications work, all I want to do is test that I can in fact install a stand-alone Weblogic Server and deploy an ADF application on it.

However, the steps to achieve this simple give me seizures:

    1. I have search the Internet, find these absolutely wonderful and easy to follow (but obsolete?) Instructions on http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/jdeveloper/howto/11114/managedserver/wlsadfms.html

Suggestions: Please update it... and keep updated for each version of Jdeveloper/ADF DURATION/Weblogic coming out.

    2. I'm working on Jdeveloper 11.1.2.2.0 (6183). (Honestly understand what version of the Weblogic/Jdeveloper/ADF runtime are painless to install is a complete bear)

    a. I have download and install Weblogic 10.3.6.
    b. I have download the Runtime of ADF Oracle 11.1.1.6. It says that I have to go to metalink for patches.
    c. I go to metalink and look for "Application Oracle ADF 11.1.2.2.0 development Execution."

It provides the document: how to install the ADF 11 g Release 2 to WebLogic Sever 10.3.5 runtime libraries / 10.3.6? [1328698.1 ID]

At the top of the document says "Oracle JDeveloper - Version 11.1.2.0.0 to 11.1.2.1.0 [version Oracle11g]" UH-OH!  Where is jdeveloper 11.1.2.2.0;?

So the metalink document I need: patch: 13656274 et patch: 13656372

I read the readme for patch: 13656274 .

    The read says me:
    Platform patch for: credits
    Patched product: Oracle JDeveloper
    Product version: 11.1.1.6.0; UH-OH!  I'm working on 11.1.2.2.0;?

I read the readme for patch: 13656372

    Platform patch for: credits
    Patched product: ORACLE WEBCENTER PORTAL
Version of the product: 11.1.1.6.0 ++ 13656274 patch (required) Is this relevant?
    Auto activated: no

So I have to download and install opatch on my computer, and then install this, then use the command upgradeADF WLST.

Summary: The process of install Weblogic adf runtimes and then patches is heavy at best, totally confused at worst.

Would it be possible to place all necessary downloads are required for each version of Jdeveloper, installs suggested, as is done on the SOA Suite? Can provide documentation for Dummies in this world?

    Thank you very much.

    Stuart

    Stuart,
you are not alone with this complaint. Install a WLS for 11.1.2.x is painless. Perhaps one of the reasons is that this version does not come with all the features (lack of soa...) is more like an overview of the feature for the next version of 12 c. When I remember there is a change of the best in future documentation in 12 c too good. If all goes well he will meet your suggestions.

  • Problem installing 11.1.2.4.0 ADF libraries on stand-alone Weblogic 10.3.6

    Hello world

I was really struggling for the last week to install the latest patches to use ADF 11.1.2.4.0 on Weblogic 10.3.6.

I install a new server Weblogic on Solaris 11.1.  I followed Note 1328698.1 , step by step and everything seemed

install without errors.  When you try to deploy a simple application of the ADF (just a button, with no model project), I get noclassdeffound MapProxyServlet class.  I have

get the same error when you try to run 'EM.

If I look in the tasks, I can see that the class exists in the DVT - faces.jar.

If I add all the libraries of the ADF to my ADF project, everything is fine, as expected.

Please help me with any direction on this issue.

    Thank you!

    Chris

Sorry, no, I do not use Solaris, I use Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.4. So you might found a bug in the solaris patches.

You should ask management to check this. You have no problem to install 11.1.2.3.0 in Solaris, I assume that something is wrong.

Yes, the web service is ideal to address things like that.

    Have fun.

  • JDeveloper ADF 12 c with oracle database 10g

    Hi all

We have purchase a license for oracle application server 10g and 10g R2 database.

my request is that we could use the Jdeveloper 12 c with ADF against the above specifications?

If Yes, how much would it cost?

our Organization cannot afford the latest versions of oracle. (this is why we are stuck at the 10g database).

I want to develop an application for our organization using jdeveloper ADF.

    Kindly guide me.

This is not a sales forum. As I have already said, you should contact an Oracle sales person who can answer your question. There are ways of possible migration which will save you money (for the purchase of new licenses).

I'm not saying you must upgrade to 12 c. You can develop applications using the old technology using jdev 10 g with OAS 10 g and Oracle DB 10 g.

If you want to use a newer technology (jsf2.0...), you need to update because these are not available in 10g. The issue if you need to update to 11g or 12 c (jdev), you must answer yourself and can ask the seller too. 12 c is the latest technology and the question is whether you need later. 11g if jdev version that is used internally by Oracle and is on the marked a period of time.

  • JDeveloper + ADF vs Eclipse + ADF?

    Hi, Frank,.

Thank you for your kind suggestion.

Our teams of developers use Eclipse IDE, many plug-ins, such as jQuery, Ext etc., but they never used Jdeveloper and they have an attitude of strong rejection for Jdeveloper - it's awkward, weird, anyone not using it - they tell me and show me how slow Jdeveloper is then compared to Eclipse on the race.

What is important for us is the overall productivity. So it sounds Eclipse + ADF is also an option, especially when the programmers are more prefer Eclipse as Jdeveloper.

In my view, business model (features like ADF business components), control model (bindings) and view (drag and drop UI components) model work together without sewing is the main advantage of Jdeveloper + ADF. Even if our guys had already used many plug-ins in Eclipse, they cannot have ' all in one ' with Eclipse.

I wonder, if "caution, components business ADF is not available in EPCO", can full advantage of productivity and end-to-end Jdev + ADF still be exploited?

In short, what is the best choice for us: Jdev + ADF or Eclipse + ADF?

I can encourage (training), seduce or intimidate still our guys use Jdev + ADF if he really can bring significant productivity.

    Thank you!

    Bao

    a related thread:

What degree of productivity adf can achieve compared to Eclipse?

If your developers are already familiar with Eclipse and working with JPA/EJB, then they can indeed find that using EPCO for the development of the ADF is a good solution. That's exactly the audience that EPCO is built for.

They can always use the ADF Faces, controller of the ADF and ADF binding and increase productivity, simplify the construction of the user interface layer and its connection to business services.

This will also keep their current knowledge of coding environment and save some of the learning curve.

How about you to conduct a simple experiment - get one of them to try to establish a simple system with EPCO and get another to try to build with JDev and see what they report as the easier approach.

  • JDeveloper/ADF 12 c - Djbo.debugoutput = console

    Hello

Someone had a bit of luck which allows the ADF BC logging in JDeveloper 12 c?

Previously on 11g, I would just like to add - Djbo.debugoutput = console "Java Options" of the run configuration section. But when you do it in the same application after migrating to 12 c, it does not have any effect.

There is a new option that should be used instead?

    Thank you!

Messages are only print in TRACE level, you need to check that the console Manager allows at least TRACE messages. 12 c, it is configured to allow only the warning messages.

This line in the logging.xml allows all levels of message for the console as if it were to 11g.

  • What is the official reporting tool Oracle JDeveloper ADF applications.

    Hi all
I'm on the migration of Oracle Forms and Oracle JDeveloper ADF reports.
I have read several books on JDeveloper and ADF and I take. Now what I will use to create reports; tool Oracle to create reports, that is tightly integrated with JDveloper and ADF comparable to the relationship between Oracle Forms and Oracle reports.
I will be grateful for your response.
    Best regards,
    Denis Ojok

There is no tool tightly coupled with jdev. Tool of oracles of choice would be BI Publisher (I guess). However, you can use the reports jasper or any other tool to report as well.

  • JDeveloper ADF Mobile - Android context

    Hello

I'm new to the development of the ADF Mobile. I wanted to use an existing library of android. which requires the context as a parameter because this isn't some back-end database activities. How can I get the Android context if I develop hybrid application using ADF Mobile.

It's very urgent for the development of mu. Any help is appreciated.

    Kind regards
    Kathia

Hi, unfortunately I don't think that it is easy to use an existing library of Android, because the JVM Dalvik on Android device is different from the JAVA virtual machine integrated into ADF Mobile. ADF Mobile integrates its own JVM to ensure cross-platform compatibility.

However, that said, what is the use case exact application you have in mind? In the backend, you mean you are trying to use the Android library communicates with the database server and synchronize data and download data in the local SQLite Database?

    Thank you

  • Number of the Fusion ADF application called PeopleSoft AAWS operations

    People,

Hello. I have implemented PeopleSoft Campus Solution 9.0 revision 5 for a University.

I need to develop an application for Admission online for future student to apply for admission.

My installations of PeopleSoft are below:

Server machine: Oracle Linux 5.10 (64-bit)

Client computer: Windows XP Professional (64 edition) with the Internet Explorer browser

Architecture Internet Oracle Linux 5.10 Server:

    (1) database server: Oracle Database 11 g version 11.1.0.6.0 is

    (2) the server application: Tuxedo 11 g

    (3) web Server: Web Logic 10.3.6.0 and JDK 1.7.0_09

    (4) browser: Firefox Mozila

    (5) two Instances of huge database on the database server: 8.53 PeopleTools and Campus Solution 9.0.

To develop the application for Admission online, I made the 4 parties with WebLogic 10.3.6 and JDK 1.7.0_09 as below:

    (1) install ADR (Application Development Runtime) 11.1.1.6.0 (64-bit)

    (2) install the RCU 11.1.1.6.0 to create the scheme of OWSM_MDS (32 bit)

    (3) create a WebLogic 'Domain_CS' domain in WebLgoic 10.3.6.0 in support of MARC 11.1.1.6.0.

    (4) install JDeveloper 11 g 11.1.1.6.0 Studio Edition including WebLogic 10.3.5.0.

The application for Admission online is developed in JDeveloper 11 g 11.1.1.6.0 Studio Edition.

The application for Admission online connected to AAWS (Admission Application Web Service) and through AAWS gets to database tables.

AAWS has no Navigation in the browser. After you create the Web Application from merger, you must type in the endpoint URL for the Operations of Service. But I don't know what is the URL endpoint.

    My question is:

What is the endpoint URL for PeopleSoft AAWS operation for ADF merger Application in JDeveloper?

    Thanks adavance.

Addition of on-demand technology means that a specific action (e.g. the menu points) for technology and add needed libraries for technology. While adding or activating the menu points is not a big deal, adding libraries is. If you add legs strength as a technology, you get a whole bunch of libraries also added to your project. In the end, you have a great ear file (the final application is bundled in an ear file) where many of the megabytes of libraries will not be used at all. Deploying an ear file take is the ear file more.

Another point is that some technologies do not work well together. You could end up with errors, complaining of libraries that are not compatible.

Summary: do not add technology, that you don't need. Struts is one of the technologies you use, to not add it. This is the case for other technologies you mixed right also, delete what you don't need or know.

  • Why must update the ADF BC connection details for the deployment?

I know it's a matter of the ADF, but still post in this forum that it was found in the deployment of BPM on OBPM 11.1.1.6. I get a bpm of the internet project and decide to test it on my local. The goal was to complete the payload of the process dynamically, i.e. based on the selection made by the participant on the user interface (a component of ADF to a table of database management is created and made on the form of task for the user to select). I imported the code on my JDev and changed the JDBCDataStore for both Module local <>& module < Module > Shared in running the application configurations to point to a Data Source that I created on my WLS.

Assuming that's all it was necessary to test, tried to deploy the application on my WLS. Deployment failed with a logon - question usname/pws 'incompatibility '. It was very strange because I tested the data source after it is created. It took time for me to understand that it wasn't ' the JDBCDataStore that was causing the problem but it seems that the creator of the application created a database connection to connect to its local database to create the application's business components. I had to update correct 'uname/pwd"(i.e. the one on my local) to run the deployment.

Now coming to the question - I think that connection at the base is a configuration at design time to create business components? Once they are created in the project, the deployment should be agnostic of the environment, as long as we upgrade our TIME configurations correctly? Someone please help understand that. With my limited understanding of the ADF I prefer having an expert comment and clarify this point.

    Thank you

    Rohit

    Hello

you see this message: "the password must be at least 8 alphanumeric characters, at least one number or special character."?

Password: weblogic password you provide when prompted
must be at least: minimum requirement for secure passwords applied on default WLS
at least 8 alphanumeric characters: not 7 but less than eight characters
at least one number or special character: password must have a number in there or a '@' '-' or similar

    For example

    weblogic1

is a password option that would meet the requirement

  • Application requirements for the Application of ADF Fusion Web Server deployment

    Hi all

What I need to know is the following:
If I develop an Application of Web of merger, based on the ADF business components, ADF Page lifecycle, pages JSF, and ADF Rich Faces components, using JDeveloper 11 g, can I deploy it successfully on an Oracle 10 g R3 application server? I mean, is fully compatible with an older application server such as Oracle Application Server 10 g R3 Oracle Application Development Framework? Or should I wait for a version 11g of the OAS?

I know the Oracle JAVA application server is Weblogic, but I need to know that it is a must for the deployment of generation of ADF with JDeveloper 11 g applications.

    Thank you.

    Bogdan.

PS: If I posted this in the wrong forum, please tell me and I'll pass it to the server part of the forum applications.

No, you can not - ADF 11g requires Java EE 5.0 - which means you need to WLS 10.1.3.1.
