    HY,

I work on an 8800 with Firmware V4.2.1.101 (Platform 2.3.0.80). Every 30 seconds, my background application send a message to a server. If acours there no matter what kind of error it closes all streams and the connection und trys to reopen again. Ingenarl cases don't like no avaiable of Radio connection or server to the low it works prety well. The Proplem is when there is a call on the BlackBarry during this period, he gets the exception wat 'Open tunnel - max timeout' would be normal. To be more precise in the first minute of the call, the Messages are always send but not recived as every time if there is no link (which is not a problem at all) and aster that there an IOException while trying to send and after the reconnection trys repeted circle begins. Also the server termiates the connection with because of a timeout.

After the end of the call, I'd wait for the reconnection work again, but I still get the Massage 'Open tunnel - max timeout' even if I restart my application. But the problems sems to have a character more overall since the browser returns also this massage ang it isn't Programm of Villa which is able to use GPRS after that. Reanable GPRS, you have to turn the unit on. No reset just the menu cut so that the PIN is re-processed. Also, GPRS works again if the appliance changes Lac of the Mobiole network.

This looks like a bug to me, I'm sure that MSohm will get back to you.
so far, I suggest using a phonelistener or a CoverageStatusListener. CoverageInfo and RadioInfo classes also provide useful methods.
In your case I would stop sending data when a call is detected or the dataservice is suspended

What is the number taken gw to gw vpn tunnels max supported? What would you recommend for the remote router - MD1 / 1 phone? Modem cable, most likely.

RV042 supports 50 Gw-2-Gw tunnels. With respect to the remote sites, you might consider WRV210 for its Wi - Fi, VPN and a lower cost. However, in a site remote using RV042 provides an option for redundant internet connection.

  • Question about running from two cameras at the same time with MAX

    Hello

I have two cameras attached to NI PCIe-1430 frame grabber card (Atmel Aviiva M2 CL and Fairchild 2 K LS) IRLS. It's ok when I run two cameras individually, but I can't run them at the same time.

This is the step that simultaneously run two device:

    1. open MAX, select the port and start image acquisition by pressing the 'Grab' button, I can see the image at this point.

    2. open another MAX session, select the other port and press "enter". I got following error:

    "Error 0xBFF60021".

Unable to perform request; acquisition in progress'

Sometimes, I got this error too:

    "Error 0xBFF60022".

A timeout error occurred while you wait for the specified event. If you expect a picture, check the video data is acquired in the period. If in the meantime the signal, check that the assertion of signal has occurred within the period. »

I already give enough timeout Fame to the tab settings of Acquisition.

The MAX version used is 4.5.

You have an idea on that? Makes simultaneous Imaging MAX support?

    Thank you

  • OR Max: No button "Scan for instruments.

Before I start I will say that I used the NI GPIB-USB-HS devices for years with relatively few questions. I also visited several forums posted by people with a similar problem.  Basically, my problem is as the title suggests: when I open OR max and look for the GPIB-USB-HS device there is no button "scan for instruments" I'm used to seeing on the top bar.

It's the first time I used nor max v. 16.0 and it is quite frustrating.  I believe that my ni488 driver is up to date and I have included all the details of the pilot in the screenshot below.  I can't understand what's not here, but my program LabView can not connect the GPIB instrument.

A couple more things to note:

-The same GPIB-USB-HS device that doesn't work here works on another computer with an earlier version of NI Max.

-LabView program that I use to connect the GPIB instrument which does not work here works on another computer

-When I browse for the GPIB-USB-HS in 'Device Manager' and select 'set to day pilot' windows tells me that the driver is up-to-date

    -I'm on windows 8

    Please help me.

    Hi JohnDoe89,

This sounds like it would be very frustrating to meet - so let's see if we can reduce what could be the cause of the problem, we can determine the best way to solve it.

You mentioned that things work correctly on another computer with software versions different-can you let us know which are running the versions of the software on this computer? It would be useful to compare to the list in the picture you posted.

In the list you posted (I guess it's the software on the computer that does not work, rather than one that is), I noticed that you use 16.0 versions of many of your drivers. The readme for 488,2 drivers, it looks like the version 16.0 is backward compatible with LabVIEW 2013, rather than the 2012 I see on your list. If this computer is running an earlier version of the drivers/MAX, but the same version of LabVIEW, it's perhaps at least a part of what is causing the problem.

If you can put the list of software for computer work, which will give us more information to work from.

  • Error of flow OR MAX and attribute camera out of reach

I recently bought a camera Point Grey Grasshopper3, it seems to work fine at point software fly Cap Gris provides, but I get an error NI Max when I try to do a simple puncture (see below). This error appears every time I try to catch a time image the first after the opening OR MAX, even if the flow is set to maximum. Then I change the flow under control of the unit to any integer 125000000 max, and the camera works very well for MAX. It will capture images as much as I need. Then I save the camera output MAX, open MAX once again, it shows my saved settings, I'm going to capture images and I get the error again. If I change the range regardless of the number and it works again in the same session in MAX.

I had a gray point Zebra2 work very well and he used in my program LabVIEW with IMAQdx to acquire images. When I try to use grasshopper3, LabVIEW returns error attribute camera out of reach of the VI camera configuration. I use to test the camera of the VI is the camera just to open, configure acquisition, start acquiring, get the picture, cancel the acquisition and nearby IMAQdx camera configuration. I did twice open MAX, change the flow, save the camera, close MAX without grasping an image and then was able to acquire images in LabVIEW in the first inning. I would run the VI once again and then it returns the error to attribute camera out of reach. I changed the packet size, resolution and the frame rate of the camera with a difference in errors.

Since I am able to images of the stream from the camera to the gray point fly capture and Max after activating/deactivating the flow layout, it leads me to believe there is some sort of error MAX/LabVIEW that prevent me to capture the images.

Any ideas? Has anyone else had this problem with MAX and LV?

Looks like the point Grey cameras showed this error before the firmware on the basis. See this linkfor such a forum. I would monitor the camera (*.icd) file located in the data folder IMAQdx in public Documents to see if the actual value is be replaced after the configuration of the camera has been saved in MAX. There is a chance that the GigE. XML file which is transferred from the camera is overwrite these values in the unacceptable value. See this linkfor a KB about this error, which leads me to believe that this may be the problem.

  • With the help of MAX vs Teststand for switching

Can someone explain what is happening here?

I went to MAX and gave all my or alias switches (MUX).  This is the tab of channels/exclusions.  According to the diagrams tab is a road named column groups. I can give my Relay connection (as close to relay 2) alias here... like 'Close Relay 2 '.  If I click on relay 2 on the diagram, it shows a link between ch2 and com.  Fine.   Now when I go in Teststand > tab properties > switch > activate the change... I have the 'operation' 'Connect'  Is - this redundant?  I already connected when I called him.  If its Teststand because does not know what I want, when I call this particular alias he "cut" when I select disconnect from the drop down?

You would say I leave ALL my relay open in MAX and just 'Connect' 'disconnect' in Teststand?

Can you suggest what should be the other options though:

I want to connect 1 or several relay for this sequence, do tests, then disconect the relays?  -What connection Liftetime?  So 'Step '?

What is multimode and when and how to use it?

    Included some screenshots

    Thank you!

    Clint

    Hey Clint,.

NEITHER Switch Executive exists in MAX and TestStand (and LabVIEW, etc.).  You can program individual routes to TestStand, or you can beforehand create complex route groups to the MAX, and then call the road/route groups TestStand.  Suppose for example that you want to connect A to B, C, D, E and F, you can create a great course called 'channels' band in MAX, then add explicit connections to this group of ranges (from A to B, C, D, E and F).  You simply connect 'great channels' now in TestStand and NI Switch Executive will do the rest.

While you can connect channels in MAX, the intention is that you create route groups in MAX and then use these groups of road to the test (if for no other reason than TestStand is automated so that MAX is not).  At the end of the day, you can use the SW but you wish to, but we intend to the run-time execution to automate in teststand.  Think that MAX is the debug/configuration environment.

Connection Lifetime is how long the relays must stay in touch.  For example, inflicting on life 'Step' means that, after this step TestStand is completed, the relay will be disconnected.

Desktop mode is the concept that a relay can be connected more than once in the software.  Until the connection number is 0, the relay is open.  If the number of relays is greater than 0, then the relay is closed.  For example, suppose that you have two different tests that can run simultaneously, and they share the same relay.  Specifically, 1 tuberculin relay A and B, while the tuberculin 2 relay B and C.  If you are able to run both events at the same time (function of your DUT), then when you connect test 1 and 2 at the same time, relay A and C will be all both have a connection of 1 account (they were connected once), but the relay B will be 2 connections.  Thus, when testing 2 finishes and disconnects its associated relay, test 1 could still be running; Since the relay B will have a connection of 1 account after test 2 'disconnects' relay B, relay B will always be closed and 1 test will not be interrupted.  The concept takes a minute to wrap your head around, but finally it is quite powerful.

OR Switch Executive is a very powerful program.  Once you've played a little with it for a bit, it is intuitively easy, but there is a curve of rampup higher compared to our other software program switch (OR-DAQmx, OR-Switch, etc.).  OR Switch Executive is particularly well suited for TestStand.

Let us know if you have any other questions or if my answers are not clear.  Have a great day!

  • Cannot open session VISA Hameg HM8112-3

    Hello

I have a Hameg multimeter connected to my computer via GPIB.  Windows can detect the port and says it's working properly.  However when I open OR MAX it detects the port but are unable to communicate with the instrument.  He says that he was not able to successfully open a VISA session to the device.  When I click on "VISA Open Test Panel", it gives the following error:

    Error opening resource:
    ASRL10::INSTR

VISA: (Hex 0xBFFF0011) insufficient location information or the device or resource is not present in the system.

I downloaded the drivers for the Hameg but I guess I'm missing something.  Anyone encountered this before with a GPIB connection?

    Hello world

The adapter is displayed in the Windows Device Manager under the element in the tree 'IEEE1394 Bus Hostcontroller' as 'Compatible OHCI Instruments1394 hostcontroller Texas', the connected camera appears under the element in the tree 'NOR IMAQ interfaces' as "Digital of NI - IMAQdx IIDC camera". But when I opened NOR-MAX, the camera is not shown here. Under the item of the tree 'Devices and Interfaces' there are only the chassis PXI, COM, LPT, PCI-CommunicationController and NetworkDevices, but no camera. I installed the AVT driver package and got access to the camera with their demo tool, but with driver AVT camera even does not appear in the windows Device Manager. Is however must work with IMAQ.
