jelly of logon screen xp

I have an Asus laptop (model A3f) which came loaded with windows xp. I paid for Bitdefender Pro antivirus that I downloaded on the laptop, after some time, I was not happy as he could remove some viruses, so I downloaded Avg antivirus, all the time even xp sp3 has been so download now when turn the laptop on, the login screen appears, but there is no response from the keyboard to log (the screen is frozen).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Hi Philippe,.

If the problem does not occur in safe mode (see Divya post), then it is very likely malware persistent or maybe a startup item, the origin of the problem.

  • Finger print reader does not connect for Win7 Logon Screen

    Win7 Ultimate 64 bit

    5.9.4 fingerprint software

Biometric accepted link to windows Logon

    Client Domain Server MS

At the start of the system, the logon screen appears and the fingerprints light is 'on '. I scan my finger, the light blinks once and no presentation of the Windows password in the logon window. I have to enter password.

Lenovo support asked me to uninstall software, of the clear BIOS saved digital fingerprints then re - install (and re-record). I did it twice without any change.

It worked until I had to break the connection of field (server change) and re log on to the domain with the same opening of session and password. It was at this time that the finger print reader stopped passing the biometric password to the BONE.

Any thoughts on how to re - connect the reader to open a session?

If you enter the control panel and search for "biometric" you should have an option to 'change the biometric parameters '. If you click this option, you should have a checkbox indicating "Allow users to log on to a domain by using their fingerprints", make sure that having checked if you want to connect with a domain account using your fingerprint. When remove you / add the computer to a domain, so I believe that this option will be restored back to being disabled must be re-activated.

My computer keeps going back to the logon screen after a few minutes

    Hey Missy,

In addition, you can go through this post.

The main reasons for this problem is a corruption in the registry key that contains the value of the files that are executed during the connection to windows. This registry key can get is replaced by an incorrect value, or it might get corrupted due to a virus / trojan activity.

See if you can solve this problem by running SFC (System File Checker) scan in safe mode.

  • Microsoft Windows Vista Home Permium freezes to the logon screen or gets stuck

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Permium freezes to the logon screen or crashes on the black screen with Copyright Microsoft Corporation with the load with six green bars moving through bar. It will start in safe mode. I ran the auto repair (recommended) when starting after being forced to stop. After it says its full it restarts and remains stuck on the black screen with Copyright Microsoft Corporation with the load bar with six green bars that cross so I force disable it again.

I had no problem with this computer, he got in last seven. It was working fine yesterday and then the without wire came out, so I restarted the computer to find the connection again as I had done several times before. That's when it froze on the opening of session and password screen. Who started this cycle of freezing or stuck on the black screen with the loading bar permanently running.

    UPDATE:
Start safe mode then made the instructions on the clean boot. Not checked, all iteams he says and rebooted and it worked. So I went to the next step to select only half to refine the list. Restarted and when at the loading screen for a little over 30 sec - 1 min (which is more short than the time it took to work initially after the first stage of the boot with all unchecked), but it goes to a completely black screen that has not happened before. So now, a little lost, or do I have to keep trying to refine?

    Hi Greg,.

It will not harm the computer to run it in a boot environment.  Some programs do not work properly because they were probably responsible for their own services and rely on them to work.  You have disabled all non-Microsoft services, and things like printers and software can be difficult.

Click Start, then options type power and press ENTER.  Let us make sure that the system is not configured to sleep.  Go ahead and put the power plan to High Performance, then click on change Plan settings below.  There will be a framework for "put the computer to sleep".  The value than ever.

If it continues to turn black in clean boot mode, you may have a hardware problem.  One thing you could do if it's a desktop system and really need to use it now, it is the lid of the machine and aim a fan in the box.  This will help if it is overheating.

Please complete the steps to diagnose the problem with the boot when you have the chance.
