Jet 7 - back to 8.1 for Windows

I have improved my Stream 7 to 10 Windows Tablet.  For a number of reasons, I want to go back to Windows 8. 1. Unfortunately, I ran a system cleanup to free disk space and cannot roll back to 8.1.

I have a USB cable and OTG of recovery.  I talked a lot here to use a motor hub USB, keyboard and mouse for the restoration.  If I reload my tablet, I'll be able to run the HP recovery without all of this?  The touch screen responds?  I did not have a powered USB hub and am not really interested in buying one just for this purpose.

Sorry if this has been discussed before.  I have been reading the forums of discussion, but did not see my issue addressed.  Thank you.

Edit: A USB powered hub, is possible to transfer the contents of the recovery card USB MicroSD for the tablet can recover from a MicroSD card?

Hi, Yes, fortunately Windows 8.1 for the Stream 7 recovery media charge touch screen drivers as well as a card OTG and USB recovery are required to restore the factory settings.  Fix the OTG and USB and turn on holding down the low volume button and press F9 to start options and to boot from USB.  A GUI menu appears and the touch screen works.

About the micro SD location, the tablet will not start him so there would be a problem trying to use it.

  • Windows 7 wants me to download Jet 4.0 SP8, no version for Windows 7 available, not previous versions

    Hello

The same driver as expected for any operating system like Windows 7 or 8 must be used, however, the installation should be launched via the command line and not as a standard installation.

Follow these steps to install the software of the printer on a server:

    Hi Billy,

Try a clean boot (Vista and W7) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135. If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem. Follow the procedures described in the article. Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall. Once don't forget to reset your system back to the normal state, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work. If you are using XP, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316434.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

I don't want the drivers.  I mean the software.  The drivers you get from the page server 2003 and the software from the page I referenced.   Otherwise, you need to contact HP, as they provide that software, not Microsoft.

  • While trying to install service pack 3 for Windows XP, I am asked to back up my data. Does this mean I have to save my programs as well?

Backup information for Windows XP SP3

I use an operating system of Windows XP Service Pack 2 and I bought Microsoft Office 2007.

My downloaded Windows Update Windows XP SP3 by using automatic updates.

When I install it, it tells me to back up my files.
What it means that I buy my copy of Microsoft Office 2007.

Could someone help me with this please?

It is simply to give you advice that you should back up your files. In fact, you should always be to back up your files, either via the built-in backup tools or a third-party backup tool. Backup doesn't mean that he had to purchase Office. Indeed, as long as you have your office key, it will be never need to buy Office 2007. Only, you will need to buy a new key if you want a newer version of Office.

Go ahead and install SP3. It is absolutely necessary today given that Windows XP SP2 is completely supported.

  • What should I back up my hard drive to Windows 7 Edition update family Premium for Windows 10?

Will I lose all the files if I upgrade Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10?  If Yes, please specify the backup/restore procedure.  I have an external hard drive of 1 terabit.

What should I back up my hard drive to Windows 7 Edition update family Premium for Windows 10?

-> Wrong question. The question should be:

What should I back up my hard drive?

Many people ignore the fundamental rule of computing: all important files should be stored permanently on two independent media. A lot of people suddenly changes his mind when something goes wrong. It can be a tough lesson to learn.

Click Start, click Help, and then type the password backup. Now study the various topics at your leisure.

  • Need to roll back an installation of Windows 7 for Windows Vista

I started with a Windows Vista computer that I wanted to update to Windows 7.

The installation went well until it got to the point where he asked me a product key. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate, but I think that my product key is no longer valid for Windows 7 Premium. So I want to go back to Windows Vista (and I have a Setup for this disk), but now I can't go to a command prompt or anything.

Maybe there is a way to boot / install from the disc, but I have not found.

If you want to stay on Windows 7, we can help you do it if you can provide us with this type of product key you have:

    • Button upgrade: comes with media upgrade Windows 7, intended to upgrade the previous operating system only. Cannot be used to install Windows on a blank hard drive.
    • Key Standalone: comes with the full version of Windows 7, which can be used to upgrade the previous operating system or install Windows on a hard drive Virgin or reformatted.

You can stay on Windows 7 If your Home Premium key is a standalone key. Let us know what you would do.

  • Can we use this product key on the back of the laptop for the activation and the windows 7 Professional 32-bit to windows 7 Professional 64-bit upgrade?

I have a laptop HP originally shipped with windows 7 32-bit professional. Now I want to upgrade to windows 7 professional 64 bit. I don't have with me installation disk. So I thought that it is possible (and legal) to resume an installation of windows 7 professional 64 bit disc from a friend and use this product key on the back of my laptop computer to activate windows after the installation of 64-bit? I'm a bit confused.

NOTE: This sticker on the laptop has windows 7 pro oa, and a product key to 25 digits (xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx) written on it.

In addition, the product ID in the information system in the control panel is OEM.

Yes, you can use the product key located on the COA sticker with a full retail version or the version upgrade Windows 7 Professional disc.

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.

Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.

Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

    http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/07/using-Windows-easy-transfer-in-Windows-7/

Boot from the DVD 64 bit Windows 7
    Click Install now
    Accept the license agreement
When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)
Select the disk partition where you want to install Windows 7 click Next.

You will receive the following warning:
The partition you have selected may contain files from a previous Installation of Windows. If so, these files and folders will be moved to a folder named Windows.old. You will be able to access the information in Windows.old, but you will be able to use your previous version of Windows.
(At all costs, do NOT click on anything in Format, deletion or Partition name.) So even do a custom installation, your personal files are still kept. Click OK

The installation program will now begin installation. During installation, your computer will be restarted several times.

Once the installation is complete, you can complete the Out of Box experience as the choice of your laptop, create a username, password, your time zone. You can then proceed to download the latest updates for Windows and reinstall your applications and drivers.

You can then retrieve your personal files from the Windows.old folder and reinstall all of your applications and drivers.
