  I just replace my HP 6500 with a newer model and they have not yet fixed issues with print Quickbooks checks. With my old printer, I try several types of paper/quality until I finally stumbled upon the combination that worked, and it seems that now I have the same task in front of me with the 8610 - so far nothing has yet.

  For a 'printer office' jet it is very frustrating that the printer is not set up to recognize paper cheque. (Good to know that if I ever have the need to print on paper "Hagaki" they have listed this option - but no paper cheque? really?)

  I tried the other print driver work around and that has not worked.

  Any ideas? This new printer is basically useless to me if I write all my checks.

  Update for all of you who have this problem... I finally got to print cheques by installing a new printer for the 8610 manually by choosing the HP Deskjet 6980 series pilot.

  Can't believe that HP made us jump through some hoops to solve a problem that they themselves fixed with an update but it is what it is, I suppose and it will certainly affect what brand I will be buying next time - I've never had a problem with the brother I have to my other office!

  QuickBooks worked very well under Vista? It should also work reliably on Windows 7.

  However, you may want to follow these steps.

  1. right click on your quickbooks start exe file and open properties.

  2. on the Compatibility tab, select the compatibility mode and run this program in compatibility mode for Windows using the following link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows (only if she worked very well with former Windows operating system)

  3. the control privilege level "Run this program as Administrator". Press apply/OK to close properties.

  4. start - devices and printers - add a printer - add a local printer - create a new port - local port and name it QBD_PDF.

  5. Choose install AMYUNI Technologies - Amyuni Document Converter 300 (click the button update windows if it is not on your list).

  9 restart you computer and open Quickbooks. Open the file - printer installation and make sure of Quickbooks PDF Converter is selected for any operation PDF printer that you use frequently. (on rare occasions, you will see not of Quickbooks PDF Converter on the list, reboot again and you'll get it).

  You can now perform operations of PDF in Quickbooks (works for 32 and 64-bit Windows 7)

  Hey Kevin,

  It was the missing piece of information. Boards front has had problems and have been removed in the latest version to avoid problems such as this one. Of course, it is always possible to create them (it's just a two-face where it is not used).

  For your second question, you can change the shape of the cushion directly in Ultiboard.

  1. Make sure that the selection filter, Activate by selecting Pads and SMD by selecting activate Pads , are turned on (I don't know if this part is THT or SMD, so this covers both cases)
  2. Press the Select button, then click on Edit > properties (double click also works)
  3. You can change the form in the dialog box that displays on the tab of Pad . If it is a part of the THT, you will need to change the shape, on each layer of the Board of Directors.

  A last suggestion (dealing with nestor) is to make sure that everything is once you're done. You can do this by printing the Board with footprint of paper and making a Visual check of the part.

  I just upgraded my computer to XP Pro to win 8.1.  Everything is fine except for the drivers for the my1710n laser printer. I downloaded the drivers and ran the exe.  It extracted the drivers to a directory.  When I go into Advanced Printer Configuration, Windows correctly identifies the printer. I select the printer, click disk provided, search the directory win2KXP and he finds the DKAAY740.inffile, but when I click OK, I get the error message "the printer driver is not installed. The system cannot find the specified file'.» What should I do?

  Please follow the steps mentioned in the link below and let me know if this helped. Because the driver that you downloaded is for Windows 7 and I'm not sure that your 8/8.1 Windows PC has received all necessary updates for this printer working on Windows 8. There is no Windows 8/8.1 available for 1710n printer driver package. Therefore, please check the steps in the pasted link below which is a work-around & come back.

  Someone managed using a jet of HP1100A laser with the Vista operating system? I had to work for a short period, but then just stoped printing. I used an adapter cable to match the printer to a USB port. I then installed a card to the computer's parallel port. Still no luck printing. I can plug the 1100A to a computer with XP and it works very well. Vista does not recognize the 1100A.   I have configured my 1100 as a 1000.  If you follow the instructions, this should take care of it.  I don't know if I've lost any functionality, but I don't know that I am now using my Business Inkjet 1100 as expected with Vista even though HP says that this model is not supported under Vista 64-bit.  I'm very much a happy camper now.  I don't know whether or not it is the printer that you were talking about.  Good luck.

  The option should be there if the scan from the printer software (see image below). Make sure that the DPI is set to high as different printers are limited to some PPP when you scan multipage documents. Make sure that the DPI is set to 600 or less. While the picture below was taken from the officejet 8600 software should be very similar.
