JOINT - synchronization of the Configuration

Is it possible to synchronize the JOINT configuration between the two IDSMs installed on two independent chassis.

N ° you must do it manually or use Cisco Security Manager as far as I KNOW.

All clients should push Cisco to give 'real' failover / high available. supported.

    Dennis,

Automatic synchronization of the configuration on the hubs is not possible. You must manually synchronize the configs.

  • Synchronization of the configuration shows two buttons

I have correctly set up Firefox Sync and used Firefox for a while successfully Sync in the PC Windows standard user on 3 computers accounts. However, when I tried to sync the administrative account on a computer, I was unable to. Since then, whenever I'm doing a tools/configuration synchronization, or Tools/Options/synchronization on all my computers, only two buttons to the top: "Create a new account" and "I have an account". There is no button 'Manage account', not related to Unlink this computer from Sync, nothing. I tried all kinds of things and I looked a long time for help on this problem and have not found something to help. If I delete my account just to start and complete synchronization, it will work, or could I be causing other problems by doing this? Any other suggestions? Thank you.

What do you see in the list of menu drop-down menu button Firefox?

Is - this set up sync or synchronize now?

If you have 'Set up sync' then you seem to have lost the configuration of the synchronization and you will have to redo the set up Sync.

If this is not possible, then try to delete (or rename) the armor in the Firefox profile folder file and reset synchronization preferences on the topic: config page.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)

You can open the topic: config page through the address bar and to search for the prefs that begin with services.sync and reset set user prefs ("BOLD") through the context menu on the default value.

If it still fails, then you can try a new profile.

Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting on the problem.

How anyone can read the enigmatic words for synchronization of the configuration is beyond me. Just audio does not work. If not, how can I transfer my cache settings, including passwords for sites in my new computer?

    Hello

You can try after some time. To check possible synchronization problems, please see this.

Alternatively, you can manually transfer the necessary personal data.

  • Check the configuration of time synchronization in ESX 4.1 for Windows domain

    Hello

Sorry if this topic will cover many, but browsing the forums I found some conflicting info and thought that it easier to ask you if I had it correct.

I'm ready to virtualize our Active Directory environment and put all our virtual machines RODCs.  We have an environment with 8 ESX hosts and vCenter 4.1.  Most VMs are Windows member servers, but also several RHEL servers and a few non-domaine joined Windows servers.  We have also two domain controllers that are already virtual machines.  I'm down to the last physical domain controller which is our role PDC FSMO server so the Master Timekeeper.

That's how I was going to change our Setup for the services of time with all being virtual domain controllers.

    1. the virtual FSMO PDC of our clocks of field it is time via w32tm to an external time such as us.pool.ntp.org source. That's the only DC with an external time source.
    2. all the domain joined machines Windows, whether virtual or physical (servers and clients OS) get their time via the domain controllers.  PDC-> all the other DCs-> clients and member servers.  On VMS, we do not use VMTools do a time synchronization. Throughout the normal Windows AD process.
    3. all ESX hosts serve time source external PDC, described above.
    4. all the non-domaine attached (Windows or Linux) machines that are virtual machines get their time synchronization via the VMTools Sync feature.
Have I not my correct thought and not its ok to ensure synchronization of time between the field in a virtualized ad environment?
    Thanks in advance,
    HR

That sounds about right, and I've implemented almost identical to this designs. The key is, as you say, do not sync using the time host via VMware Tools, in particular on the role of the PDCe.

I also usually use this method to ensure that the PDC (role 5) is the only way to an external time source:

  • BlackBerry Z10 configure my Outlook sync but you must disable synchronization with the sent, drafts and deleted records

When I go into settings it greys these they are already registered.  So I chose to sync all e-mail files, assuming that I could disable the files already sampled, but it only allows me to select folders additional vs uncheck the existing folders.

    Help!

    Jason

Hello and welcome to the community!

To work properly and transparently, be sync these files all the time. As you write a message, it must be auto registration in the drafts folder and synchronization on the server to prevent the catastrophic device failure. Similarly, sent items must be constantly placed on your server because it is a necessary function. Similarly with the elements removed (although there may be separate issues).

Suffice it to say that, if the box is already checked, AND it is grayed out, then you cannot affect the adjustment.

    Good luck!

  • I'm trying to update the synchronization from the old to the new. When you connect, I get the message (in German) "error 500. Oops, something went wrong. Let's fix this. "

With "login", I mean the page that appears when I click on "Options-> Configure sync" (or however it's called in English).

I have one of my computers disconnected from the synchronization of the former. And this is the latest version of Firefox. What I didn't, it's step 2 "unplug ALL devices". It's impossible because I often changed the Linux Distro on many computers in the past years and I synced Firefox everywhere and in the (old) list of devices ago still showing that devices exist no more long time, but you cannot delete them.

So, to be safe, I have not disconnected Firefox on my other computers (and always use the old sync), because then I'm afraid I'll lose ALL my data.

I have a problem on one of my computers laptops, Ubuntu 14.04, V 38.0.

Error 500 ouattara because something was wrong. We have been advised and to tackle the problem.

What version of Firefox is that happening with?
If she with Firefox 29 or later, go here to set up a new account.
    https://accounts.Firefox.com/signup
Make sure that you use a different user name / Email address you use for your other account synchronization.

Once the account is created, connect you to Sync via Firefox using I already have an account!

  • Synchronization of the NI 9205

    Hi all

I use cDAQ9188 with 03 modules OR 9205. One thing I want to clarify is that cDAQ9188 will provide synchronization between the three 9205 modules or or other devices also require for this purpose?

NO DAQMAX software provides some guidance if these three modules mounted on the cDAQ operate on the same clock (sync) or independentaly?

    Best regards

    Assuming you have the 9205 s 3 in a single chassis 9188:

If you configure a single task with each of your 3 9205 s it contains DAQmx will synchronize the modules for you.

If you make 3 separate tasks (what is actually possible on the 9188 with up to 3 analog input synchronization engines), they would not synchronized automatically (you could still make the roads yourself, but it would just add complexity to your application in relation to all 3 modules in a single task).

    Best regards

  • Virtual copies are not synchronized in a second Lightroom Catalog even if the metadata are written in XMP and synchronization with the metadata has been selected

    Dear community,

I use a Mac with 5.7 of Lightroom which is configured to store all the metadata in the xmp files. The Lightroom Catalog is stored locally on the Mac and contains only references to images and their xmp files that are stored on a network device. There is another Mac with the same setup with a local separate Lightroom Catalog and access to the same images on the network device.

At a starting point, the two Lightroom catalogs are identical - they refer to the same images on the network device and contain the same metadata.

When I update the properties of the image on the first Mac, these changes are reflected in the xmp file. After using the option 'synchronize' with activated "metadata synchronization" on the second Mac, the modified image properties are visible on the second Mac. It is very good.

However, when I create a virtual copy on the first Mac, I realize that the corresponding xmp file is updated. However, even after the synchronization, the virtual copy is not visible on the second Mac. I can change the properties of the image of the original image and get these changes replicated to the second Mac, but the virtual copies remain the first Mac.

What should I do also virtual copies get synchronized?

Thank you very mich for your support.

    Best regards

    Peter

However, when I create a virtual copy on the first Mac, I realize that the corresponding xmp file is updated.

As far as I know, xmp does not contain information about the virtual copies. If this method to attempt to synchronize two catalogs will not work.

Better you should use the file-> Export catalog on a single computer and then file-> import from another catalog on another computer.

  • Inject an apple ID and PW using the Configurator 2?

    Hi all

Wondering if a id apple & PW can be added to a profile and deployment using the Configurator 2. Sorry if this has been covered, am new to this and learning and discovery I.

    see you soon,

    Kristian.

    Hello, Kristian,.

AC2 negates the need to have a configuration of account iTunes\AppleID on each device, can I ask why you wanted to do this, there may be a better way? ipads how are you trying to install? ipad users can add their own iTunes account to download other additional applications then deployed via the configurator.

    Kind regards

  • Changing the configuration of network domestic

I use an Apple Time Capsule as a router with no problems until now. The current configuration is essentially:

    Cable modem

    |

    Time Capsule

    |         \

    |         Wireless

    |

Hard line CAT 5 of various devices

We'll be moving soon however, and I want over the new House to have a network in the wall. I have the skills, tools and parts, my only question is whether to change my configuration will work with the configuration that I have in mind. I would like to change it to:

    Unmanaged switch

    (Cat 5)   /           |           -(Cat 5)

    Cable modem |             Time Capsule

    |                             \

CAT 5 in other rooms wireless

My apologies for the crude drawing/plan. Here are my questions: the TC can continue to manage the routing/DHCP for the network in this configuration? A switch works, or should I use a managed switch? Everything that handles routing/DHCP function should she go between the cable Modem and the rest of the network, or it will work at any layer as long as it is not competing with something else trying to do the same function?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm assuming that your cable modem is a simple modem... only a single Ethernet port on the device.

Your new network should look like this:

Internet connection > Cable modem > router (probably your Time Capsule) > switch > Ethernet devices

Reason... the cable modem can only provide a valid IP address.  If you have a switch connected to the cable modem... it will be a matter of chance as to which device will get the right IP address. All other devices won't be able to connect to the Internet.

A switch will be thin and easier to use than a managed switch.

  • I just cleared my history of the browser with ccleaner by mistake and I don't want to synchronize with the other machines.

How to stop synchronizing or reverse it please?

    Hello

In tools > Options > synchronization, click the Disconnect option.

This will stop you then synchronize again until you reconnect (make sure you have your synchronization of user information and password handy).

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look at another solution for you.

  • Is it possible to return to the synchronization of the former in Firefox, as new synchronization does not work.

As new synchronization does not work for me, despite the setting it in total compliance with the Mozilla Web site and no one took the trouble to answer the previous post today, is it possible to return to the synchronization of the former?

To the best of my knowledge, the synchronization of the former is no longer available.

If you post some details on the problems you are having with the sync, we can try to solve your problem.

  • Address field is red - a color that is difficult for me to see. Is it possible to use the configuration editor to change the color.

Apparently a bug in Thunderbird is changing the "To" address to the Red even if the recipient is in my address book. The address is displayed when I start typing the first few letters of the recipient, but the text turns red which is difficult for me to see. I want to continue to enter addresses that I always (first letter type or two) would be the simplest solution to change the color from red to something easier for me to read. I looked in the configuration editor but can't seem to find a key that is appropriate for the address field. Can anyone provide assistance?

    Update to Thunderbird 38.0.1.
