JPEG of the document transfer

I received a photo jpeg of a document and want to turn it into something that I can modify and change...

Looking for what is called OCR software; optical character reader software.   In this case, to analyze and process the JPG/JPEG text document that can be edited.   Unfortunately, OS X does not include OCR tools.

If the content of the image is not sensitive, there are online converters that can be worth a try.  A web search should find a few of them.

Readiris is such software.   There are probably other software options.   Some documents of the high-end hardware scanners may be able to OCR paper documents, as well.

    You should be able to open any program, even if you can't dictate in all software. WSR only works in TSF software (Text Services framework) compatible. First of all, you should see if you can dictate in other software such as Word or Notepad. Make sure you have open WSR before any other software. If WSR works in other software but not Epic, contact Epic, and whether it is compatible to TSF. If this is not the case, your best bet is to buy and use Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

  • FACEBOOK photo in the document library

    Today, I discovered hundreds of Facebook jpeg photo in my library of documents. It is not only individuals but logos for the games. I don't understand how they got there or how to remove them. Please help, be gentle, I'm a mother and not too savvy in computer science.

    Hi Lillian,

    I apologize for the delay in responding. The 'Documents' folder is the place where usually all downloads are saved. The photos from Facebook and game icons could have saved himself in the documents folder if you have saved a Web page you were viewing in Facebook by mistake. When the browser saves the Web page, it will save all the images in the Web page as well. I believe that what you see. To confirm if this is the case, you can check if there are any file ending in .htm or .html with the browser icon. If Yes, remove this file should remove all the images as well.

  • Quick display of Web pages - how does this affect the document?

    Hi all

    I find conflicting information on the option "Optimize for Fast Web View", which is enabled by default on most predefined PDF conversion setting.

    I use the PDFmaker plugin (installed CC 2016) to convert Microsoft Word (2016 installed) to PDF files for printing. Word files contain the text, tables, images and objects MS really about anything that you can put in a Word file. These files are produced for web applications and press, so I'm mostly concerned about high quality print presets and press quality, if that makes a difference.

    If I understand correctly, the device is intended to linearize the document. According to the help guide online to distill:

    Restructures the file for faster access (page-at-a-time of download,) or byte serving of web servers. This option compresses text and line art, the substitution of compression on the Images Panel selections.

    Adobe PDF conversion settings

    However, I found the following in the forums

    For at least the Adobe applications that produce PDFS, the Optimize for fast Web view results option in no difference in the quality of the resulting PDF file. Yes, the file is a bit bigger, but there is no difference in quality.

    Optimize the PDF for fast Web view

    Thus, this option really makes a difference in the appearance of the PDF?

    Thanks in advance!

    Fast web view shouldn't affect the quality somehow, unless it is combined with other changes. I think I can see the source of your dilemma.

    This option compresses text and line art, the substitution of selections of compression on the Images Panel.

    Compression of text and line art should always be done because it has no impact on the quality. A form of ZIP compression is used, not JPEG. The text is stored as strings to display; line drawing is stored as coordinates to fill. There is no possibility of destructive compression.

  • Panoramas - Error Message: the Documents must be registered before they can be merged

    I use a Macbook Air and have downloaded a demo of 14 elements.  I open the JPEG images to my hard drive in the photobin, go to the guided panorama section, select contributor 'auto' and then click 'create panorama '.  It worked well once, but now whenever I get the error message: "Documents must be registered before they can be merged."  They are saved; I have them open directly from my office and not retouched in some way.  I can't get past this message.  Does anyone have advice?  Thank you.

    The documents are NOT saved in the way the Photomerge script looks. The problem is precisely that you "does not modify them in some way.

    You may have noticed that you get this message with files unedited guidance "portrait."

    The reason is that when shooting in "portrait" mode, the camera does not write the pixels vertically, it added a tag metadata to record the orientation of the camera. This editor browsers way and know how to display pixels. When you open, then "Save" or "Save as", the pixels are written in the right orientation and the orientation tag returns to normal. For example, any vertical jpeg created from a raw file will have been edited and 'saved '.

    I checked that the Photomerge process does not require that you open and save these vertical images in older versions (up to PSE10?).

    So, if you intend to make a panorama with vertical photos, the solution is to open and save before you begin the process.

    If you don't the have not yet made, the shortest path seems to start the process of the organiser (menu Edit > panorama).

    You select your files and use the edit mode 'fast' to change something, for example the sharpness. Who saves your files and open them directly in the photobin; they are already selected (white box around the thumbnail in the photobin). Alternatively, you can "export" files of new files in a new folder. Export can also resize your files that may be needed to avoid a result that is greater than the limit of 30 000 pixels, or a lack of RAM for large panoramas.

    How to know if a vertical photo is really 'saved '? Use the options for information about the files in the Organizer. In the metadata > given the camera, scroll down to the size of the image in pixels, the orientation is slightly less (90 or - 90 what the tag).

    If you make many panoramas in vertical mode, you can use the Organizer to save everything quickly.

    Preference, add a tag for the candidates to the panoramas.

    Then looking (in detail) to the "vertical". This will select all the vertical images, be they only tag or already registered.

    Look at the Panel on the right for the orientation data as described above.

    Of course, if you're used to the way of work of panoramas in older versions, it is a good reason to keep the old version alongside your new.

    I use Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrabat (if there is no difference) and I have been a Sony tablet. I use a PDF file as a lesson plan, normally to just open the document and it moves automatically to 'recent' in 'my documents '. But when I close this document in particular I need to find it in my downloads and open again in Adobe, but the changes I made are not here obviously? How can I move an item in the recent myself? Help, please!

    Hello

    What is the operating system on your Sony Tablet?  Windows or Android?  What is the version of the operating system?

    Your documents are stored on your device or on the cloud (Cloud Document Adobe, Adobe Creative Cloud) storage.

    Please note that the recent section displays the local and cloud the documents you have open/read recently.  Player does not physically move/transfer local or documents to the recent Division of clouds.

  • batch of roads between the files transfer

    Let's say I have entrust the creation of traces of clipping. And lets say the files I wish work ultimately on Lightroom embedded smart objects, which are quite heavy files - heavier that I want to transmit electronically only for the creation of path. So what I do is create proxy jpegs which get sent to multiple paths, and then transfer the paths of JPEGs to your tif drag and drop files. It's dirty and bulky when a large number of files are involved.

    Is there a script that could take the path of a file and transfer it to another, in the batch, if files have been appointed in the same way or properly? IOW, if I have 100 files, a script could work on all 100 in the form of lots? Maybe for each file there is a naming structure where the pathed jpeg is the same file name as the tiff and the suffix of "-path"?

  • Save a copy of the document to the office

    Hello

    I am trying to use the Save function under to just save the file in the my desktop. but I don't want to convert anything.

    the Save function under ask a saveOptions where we configure the options of saveas.

    I want just the open file to be copied to my desktop.

    Follow my actual code:

    saveFile = new file ("~ / Desktop /" + app.activeDocument.name)

    saveOptions = new JPEGSaveOptions();

    saveOptions.embedColorProfile = true;

    saveOptions.formatOptions = FormatOptions.STANDARDBASELINE;

    saveOptions.matte = MatteType.NONE;

    saveOptions.quality = 5;

    app.activeDocument.saveAs (saveFile, saveOptions, true, Extension.LOWERCASE);

    But this code modifies the actual file.

    If I open a tiff file and use this script, it will save a jpeg... I do not not to change the open file. Just copy it to my desktop

    Best regards

    You must either determine the existing format of the document and use the correct saveOptions for this format or make reference to the file and use the File.copy () method to move.

    function getFormat(){
        var ref = new ActionReference();
        ref.putEnumerated( charIDToTypeID("Dcmn"), charIDToTypeID("Ordn"), charIDToTypeID("Trgt") );
        try{
            if(executeActionGet(ref).hasKey(stringIDToTypeID("format"))){
                return  executeActionGet(ref).getString(stringIDToTypeID("format"));
            }
        }catch(e){}
    };
    var saveFile = new File( "~/Desktop/" + app.activeDocument.name);
    var docFormat = getFormat();
    switch(docFormat){
        case 'Photoshop':
                // set photoshop saveOptions
                break;
        case 'TIFF':
                // set tif saveOptions
                break;

                // set jpg saveOptions
                break;
        // add case statements for other formats you want to support
        default:
             // handle un-supported formats and newly created document
    }
    app.activeDocument.saveAs(saveFile, saveOptions, true,Extension.LOWERCASE);

    function getDocPath(){
        var ref = new ActionReference();
        ref.putEnumerated( charIDToTypeID("Dcmn"), charIDToTypeID("Ordn"), charIDToTypeID("Trgt") );
        var desc = executeActionGet(ref);
        var res = desc.hasKey(stringIDToTypeID('fileReference')) ?  File(desc.getPath(stringIDToTypeID('fileReference'))).exists: false;
        return res ? File(desc.getPath(stringIDToTypeID('fileReference'))):false;
    };

    // may want to do a normal Document.save() to make sure file is current
    var saveFile = new File( "~/Desktop/" + app.activeDocument.name);
    var existingDocFile = getDocPath();
    if( existingDocFile ){
        // use copy first
        existingDocFile.copy(saveFile);
        // uncomment if you want to 'move' the file
        //existingDocFile.remove();

  • Photoshop CS 5.1 (v12.1 x 64) trial do not save to JPEG or the more common formats

    I downloaded and installed CS PS 5.1 evaluation edition today. All I had to do was slightly modify a photo and save it as a JPEG file so that I can use it in a word in the document. Successfully, I open the JPEG file that I had to change and the changes I want, but I can't save the file as a JPEG. I record in the following formats: PSD, large Document Format, Portable Bitmap, OpenEXR, Radiance, and TIFF. The "Save for the web and other devices" option in the main menu is greyed out and inaccessible. I've updated Photoshop both my OS without effect. Reportedly the trial is supposed to be fully functional (presumably including the common image formats economy), but this is not the case here.

    Does anyone have advice or a line of conduct, that I can take to resolve this problem?
