JPEGs copying themselves

When you try to remove photos unique my documents, my JPEG files is to copy themselves again and again... need to get rid of them, because he is now 93 copies of about 20 photos and MUCH computing space is to be stifled! Help please.

Unwanted copies have file names with
copy "prefix of"?

Example: Copy of IMG_1455.JPG

If_yes_maybe the following tutorial, I wrote
for XP offers a few ideas:

Here's how to reproduce the unwanted
copy of...

Hold down your CTRL key and select multiple files...

Place your pointer over the selected group
(holding the key ctrl) and left click / drag
the group even just the slightest bit... now
release the mouse button.

Ooops! More copies...

Maybe the following will help:

Sometimes most of the person who
trying to select multiple by holding the CTRL
or the SHIFT key down while clicking on the left to select the
image files.

Copies are created when you are unable to
completely release the mouse button before
you move the pointer to another file. When a group
the selected file is dragged... even the slightest
release the mouse button will produce a bit...
copies of all the files previously highlighted.

It's a little easier if you have your folder
Options set at single click... that way you can
select/deselect a file with just a mouse more
and you don't have to click. For multiples you
I have to keep... CTRL or Shift.

Do not click on... no slip... no copy... maybe that of
your solution. To adjust the click...
Open a folder and go... Tools / folder
Options / General tab... Check... 'single click '.
To open an item"/ apply / OK.

If you want to delete all the files in a folder
You can try the following:

Reach... Edition / select all... or type... CTRL / has...

With all of the files selected... go... Drop / delete...
or press your delete key... or... click on the
Group and choose 'delete '.

How do I find and remove unwanted 'copies '.
of your image files.

Open the folder that the images are saved in and
on the left, click on the button 'Search' in your toolbar.

(If you view the files from a montage
program and do not know where the record is... right
Click on one of the image files and the menu...
choose... Properties. The path to the folder will be
in the tab 'General' to 'Place').

In the research pane select... "All files and folders".

In the "All or part of the file name" field. Come in...

a copy of

Now... on the left, click on the search"" button.

When the search is complete... go to... Edition / select all...

Then go to... Remove / delete.

You will see a dialog box asking if you are sure
you want to delete the files, click Yes.

Now... on the left, click on the 'Back' button in your toolbar.

Now the remaining files should be your originals.

If you delete the wrong files... recover from
your basket now.

  • PSD files are get desaturated when I output a JPEG copy?

    Hey all,.

I'm having a strange problem. By way of background, I just upgraded to a whole new MacBook so I had to reinstall and configure my entire suite creative on the new system. It's the latest version. I don't know if there is a strange definition miss me, but I use Photoshop for years and never had the following problem (even on my old MacBook, which was running as well creative cloud).

I'm editing photos for a client. I always keep a work-in-progress Photoshop file saved in case I need to return to my layers to settle something. While I'm working on the photo my PSD file looks quite normal. Even if I save it, close and then reopen, it seems. So far so good. When I finished editing I save it one last time to the PSD format, then I flatten it, convert it to sRGB, save a JPEG copy and then close the file. BUT... after that, when I reopen it my PSD file looks really happen. Copy JPEG looks fine, but the PSD seems far away. I don't have ANY changes in the PSD file since I finally recorded it, and it was well before I closed the file (like about 30 seconds ago).

At first I thought it was a color profile or something to monitor. So I took my (now) desaturated PSD and re-issued one other copy JPEG using the same settings as the last time. When I compare the two JPEG images there is a very obvious difference. The original looks normal and the second (issued by the desaturated PSD file) now looks like desaturated so. So something is definitely altered or messed up in the process.

I'm really scratching my head on this one. Is there something that I am missing?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    All right. That explains it.

Pardon my language, but it's a bad idea basically at all levels. Especially if you later convert to CMYK. What, then, you convert to? You don't know, that's what.

Basically, what you're doing are throw everything to the wind, stripping the RGB of any significance numbers. Without a color space numbers mean nothing or nothing at all.

  • Illustrator is the addition of extra pixels to copied work plans

    Hello

I do web design prototyping. I designed my homepage at size 1024 x 768 and then copied the artboard to create excessive state of the menu. I continue to copy the work plan for my homepage until I got 8 copies to edit with different contents. Each of them reported size 1024 x 768 in illustatror.

    Screen Shot 2015-09-03 at 8.07.30 PM.png

The problem started when I exported JPEG individual work plans and my first work plan (home) was 1024 x 768; While the rest of the copies (who said to be this same size inside the Illustrator) is 1025 x 768 pixels. The small movement caused by this extra pixel is sometimes seen as I program the hot HTML.

    Screen Shot 2015-09-03 at 8.07.49 PM.png

(JPEG-work plan home original vs home State too JPEG copied from the original)

Please I need help, I tried everything and nothing seems to work. There is nothing outside the area of work plan and guides are out of service, as well as the presentation layer is disabled or deleted, nothing works.

    Please, I beg you! Help!

If you double-click the work plan tool to display the artboard options, you will probably see fractions for the X Y coordinates.

Make sure that it didn't there ar no value fractional pixel before exporting, the artboard and the position of art

  • 'Copy' obsolete in Save as .jpg

I supported Pshop to Adobe when 4 is out (1997), and AGAIN I have to remove the automatic insertion of 'copy' in the name of the file when I save a .psd to layers as a .jpg file. More, there is NO reason for this piece of code. As I understand, there were some concerns weird that layers being new, people don't realize this economy as a .jpg file would not preserve their and they also save the .psd as well - you are notified on close anyway.

Can someone tell me why this piece of code is still there? Can any WHO concoct a reason I had to remove 'copy' saving as .jpg for FIFTEEN years now? Just for my mental health - do something that sounds good. PLEASE, I BEG YOU!

I believe that the behavior was changed starting with cs5, so are not added to the name when recording multilayer files JPEG copy.

  • Why a white area 1/3 of the picture when it is stored in JPEG?

When I finished a photogrqph with 10 elements of treatment, it's looking just the way I want it, save it as PSD have and as JPEG, if I open the PSD copy with elements, it looks like what I stored, but if I open the JPEG copy on 1/3 of the photograph has a white box on the left to the right in the photograph. This occurs in about 1 out of 10 photographs. What can cause this and what can I do about it?

    Ken,

Thanks for the reply. I just opened the PSD file with 10 items and watched. There are only two layers showing, the background layer, and a second with a border at the bottom with the title. I don't know is what a layer masked. If you give me your email address, I can send you the file. I did exactly the same thing with nearly two thousand photogrphs for my site, www.pbase.com/mostly_birds. For the site I store one less than 200 KB file for the Web site that will be fast download for viewers. There is no problem look a those. This is the big JPEG file which opens onto the white space. The smallest one that opens well is stored after the great evil that seems always good in the elements.

    Thanks for trying to help.

  • A JPEG of script "save under".

I do work for my business and I need to do what is essentially the stop-motion animation... I have my Basic .psd file, I move a layer inside slightly, save it as a .jpeg and repeat. Repeat, repeat and repeat.

However, it takes much too long to get through dialogue "save under", change the file name and change the type of file in jpeg every time.

I don't know anything about scripting (writing OR using them), but I've read it's the solution to my problem here... a script that will save a jpeg copy of my file .psd with a new name.

In addition, it would be GREAT if that can be assigned to a key or combination of keys... as I hit him command + ~ and it runs the script.

    Can you guys help me?

NB: This is for Photoshop CS3 or better!

Copy and paste the script in ExtendScript Toolkit, it is installed with Photoshop

This utility is located in the proper folder: -.
    PC: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe utility
    MAC: /Applications/Utilities/Adobe utilities

The script must be registered in: -.
    PC: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS #\Presets\Scripts
NB: Vista and Windows 7, you will need to save it somewhere else and copy it to this folder because of permissions.
    MAC: Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS #/ presets/Scripts settings

If Photoshop is open, close and restart Photoshop so that it can pickup the new script.

You can create an action to call the script
Start recording a new action and in the dialog box action palette select "Insert Menu Item" then file - Scripts and select the script.
    stop recording.
This action can be given a function key to run it.

Another way is to create your own keyboard shortcuts:
Edit - keyboard shortcuts - file, go down until you see the script and assign your own shortcuts.

On first use, it will let you choose the suffix bib.
The files will be saved as OriginalFileName #0001.jpg OriginalFileName #0002.jpg etc...
The files will be saved in the same folder as the original document.

This first script is necessary to reset the counter to zero, when you want to work on the following document.

  • How can I get rid of this virus?

I have WebrootAnywhere on my computer (drafted by a professional). I have a root Virus any and he will not be cured by running webroot.

How can I get rid of this? It affects the use of the Internet and a computer analysis very slow.

You mean you have a rootkit? You may need to run TDSSkiller from Kaspersky. Also programs like Kaspersky Virus Removal tool, malwarebytes, superantispyware, scan microsoft security. If you are unable to access the internet from this computer, then you must download on another computer and place it on your computer in reader flash etc.. You can do this during the boot safe mode (press F8 repeatedly when you turn on the computer) because some viruses can copy themselves to removable media. First run TDSSkiller then scan with anti-virus.

  • PNG file. I can open and view. nothing more

I downloaded a zip file containing a few photos that someone sent me to use. I can open and see the pictures, but cannot save to computer or be able to copy and paste. I get this option is USE as a background. I've never heard of a PNG file so far.

    I have windows 7

HI - are you familiar with the need to extract images from the compressed file? (Select, right click and select 'Extract all'...) PNG images are high quality images, but cannot be changed in the photo gallery... If you prefer you can open PNG images extracted using 'Paint', then click on "save under" (top left) and you will be able to save a jpeg copy.

Let me know if you need more guidance... Cheers, Ric.

  • Cannot convert RAW B & W back to the color

Hi, so I converted one of my raw images to black and white/grayscale using the raw filter. Somewhere I am unable to change it to the color. I rebooted and reapplied the filter raw from the camera while keeping the color, but once he processes the image, it turns black. I have a jpeg copy of the same image the camera too and it is too much like a black and white image.

Is there anyway I can clear the settings or just do photoshop keep the colors? I restarted the program and my PC but no luck. Any help is appreciated! Thank you

Looks like you have a different question than I thought. If it was a raw conversion, all it would take is resetting the controls in camera raw or by removing the side car file.

However, given that you have tried a jpg, hmm maybe before you go this route, set you the jpg in camera raw?

  • Gradients can be applied to the Raw processing?

I learn more about RAW. He appears with PSE 14, that when you open a Raw photo, there are few options for editing? Is it possible to use the tool degraded in RAW? Thank you.

When you are finished with the raw sliders, just click on the "Open Image" button to send the results in the ordinary Editor. You can they apply a gradient or other tools, and save a jpeg copy or your format preferred.

I think you have overlooked a step to get your JPEG in function.

In organizing items 13, you go create / ' CD/DVD Label' and create your label. After you have created this label, you can very easily get a JPEG copy.

Be in the advanced functionality. When you are, go to file Menu/Export creations. When you do that, you will get a dialog box export creations with the choice of exporting the label as JPEG, TIFF or PDF.

Please consider that. I have worked through the process, and it works.

  • LR CC 2015.1.2 an insult to the work of pros

This dumbed down version of LR is ridiculous.

The import dialog is unrecognizable, not in its interface (which is), but as it is stripped of capacity.

After more than an hour with technical support, I am now able to copy and import all my images without hanging up process. Yay! (it is meant to do)

    But what I've learned, it's that I can't:

Import only the RAWs and sort them by file type, so I can import only the RAWs and not to sort all the files individually - and Yes, I know that the setting in the preferences to process JPEG files in a separate file.

    Eject the card after importing

Embed metadata in my RAW files

Find my presets of existing copyright

And, I don't know yet how I can remove the link RAW and JPEG in LR and why do I get a warning of metadata on each newly imported picture.

I use Adobe products for years, including LR, but from w PS never a complaint. I was a big advocate of LR for my peers, friends, family, anyone who deals with images - almost everyone these days. But I do not remember an update or a new version that has been the basis of this judgment. I can only think that the updates are to dumb down the program for lovers and lovers who have been intimidated by it has the interface. Lucky them...

Here are the instructions on how to roll back to the old interface to import Lightroom: Instructions to restore an earlier version of update in a future update, we'll be back to the old interface of update: update of Lightroom Import 6.2

On the points you made above:

After more than an hour with technical support, I am now able to copy and import all my images without hanging up process. Yay! (it is meant to do)

While the import dialog box interface has changed, most of the underlying architecture has not. You should not see any differences in performance as a result of the update. What had to be changed to prevent the process to hang up?

Import only the RAWs and sort them by file type, so I can import only the RAWs and not to sort all the files individually - and Yes, I know that the setting in the preferences to process JPEG files in a separate file.

The ability or the sort modes of the files in the import dialog box have not changed, they are identical, but have a slightly different location in the new version. The old version, or new version allows to sort based on the file type. The closest to that was sort by media Type, which separates the images videos:

    Lightroom 5:

    Lightroom 6.2.1:

Are you referring to something? If so, could you please provide a screenshot of it once you have canceled your installation?

    Eject the card after importing

This is known and is one of the main concerns for a future update

Embed metadata in my RAW files

It is not possible to incorporate metadata into raw files. Metadata can only be added to raw files using XMP sidecar files. You can, however, always add metadata to the instance of the raw file in Lightroom when importing. This has not changed with the new import interface. You can always add keywords and metadata presets. We even added the ability to enter the Copyright information, which was not available before:

    Lightroom 5:

    Lightroom 6.2.1:

Find my presets of existing copyright

Metadata presets that you created previously should appear in the dialog box new import. But there is no such thing as a "copyright preset." There are only metadata presets, even if they only metadata that they include copyright data. I just tested this on my side to check and everything worked fine. If you have a metadata preset that is not appearing not in the new import dialog box, could you send to use to test with? Unless you're talking about the presets of watermark. But it will behave like metadata presets.

And, I don't know yet how I can remove the link RAW and JPEG in LR and why do I get a warning of metadata on each newly imported picture.

There is no difference between how it works in the past and how it works now. The import dialog box will automatically ignore the jpeg copy of a pair of raw/jpeg (both shot at the same time formats). As you have mentioned before, this is handled by the option preference to decide whether "treat JPEG files files next to raw as separate photos. This option has not changed the behaviour with the new version.
