JRE version

Hi, I have an application in eclipse and jre 5.0 and it works with the bb storm simulators and other models but, in the simulator of 8310 doesn't work, what can I do? JRE 5.0 is not compatible with bb 8310?

Thanks for the replies

You must plug Eclipse going to the link:

Help > install new software

Click the Add button. Paste the link in the location field, and then press OK (you can leave empty name).

  • Forms running with specific JRE version

    Hello

We have an existing application of forms, which is certified with JRE 1.6.0_05. We have another application, which can only operate with JRE 1.6.0_16. We have both JRE versions on the client machines. If we allow 1.6.0_16 our forms application is a failure and if we allow 1.6.0_05 the other application is a failure.

Y at - it no alternative to force the JRE version from the Forms Server instead of activating a specific version on the client computer. I'm new to Forms environment. Could you please help me to address the issue.

    Thank you and best regards,

What is the point of using another JRE version on the client? It is recommended to have the same version of JRE/Jinitiator to access the application.

  • Updated JRE version pop up to stop

Hi Experts, we have forms and Oracle application when the user opens the oracle apps it shows all first update the java version because the forms first run JRE to check the client side java version. The user wants to just pop... as they do not understand all this popupp technique. How can we stop... We can update the version of java on every client computer to end... Is it possible to stop this and they can continue to use the application...

    Appreciate your help...

    Thank you

If you are referring to the audit which is carried out following the call of the forms, in formsweb.cfg, you have decided which version of Java, your application should use.  Because your application has probably been tested with a particular version of Java, you probably want the user running the application with this version.  If this is not the case, change just the CLSID and the MIME type to use what version they have installed.  For example, make the following changes (not recommended):

    jpi_classid = clsid:8AD9C840 - 044F-11 D 1-B3E9-00805F499D93

    jpi_mimetype = application/x-java-applet

If you are referring to the update check that is performed directly by the JRE, this has nothing to do with Oracle Forms.  It usually appears in the Windows system tray.  Read what follows:

    https://www.Java.com/en/download/help/java_update.XML

    https://www.Java.com/en/download/FAQ/EXPIRE_DATE.XML

I tried several different options on the j2se and the resources OS = 'Windows', but without success. How can I check the version of the jre used so that the application runs systematically? My mobile development, I have both a 32 and 64-bit JRE, our end users will likely have only 32 bits.

It will be easier if you stick the trace files. See the troubleshooting guide for more details on how to get a detailed trace:

This should not happen and probably caused by the JDK bin folder is in your system PATH (unless it's the corrupt registry).
Try to remove or add a real file JRE in JDK bin in the path.

Depends on how install you it. When you update the execution through the appropriate channels (Java Update) you don't really get a new installation but an update of the existing. I don't know what happens when you install other ways. It is probably dependent on the browser and of course dependent on the OS as well.

  • Forcing of the forms of running JRE version 6 update 20 - please help!

What the devil? I use the following code in my setup in the Formsweb.cfg file to force the use of Java Version 6 Update 20: (update the code that I used previously forced Java Version 6, 4)

    jpi_mimetype=application/x-java-applet;jpi-version=1.6.0_20
But now, when I open a form, I get a "warning - security" message. It reads as follows:
Java has discovered application components that could indicate a security concern.

    Name: Oracle.forms.engine.Main

Block potentially unsafe components (Recommend)?         [YES]    [NO]

The application contains both signed and unsigned code.
Why am I suddenly this message? If I click No. so I can continue normally, but I get the message whenever I open the form.

What happens if I click YES?

    Take a look:

  • EMI includes older JRE and MySQL versions with known vulnerabilities?

    Cisco IME experts,

I just installed IME and noticed that it includes an older version of MySQL 2009-vintage that has known security vulnerabilities.  It also uses a private JRE version which is pretty old (1.6u7, IIRC).  I would use IME, but I have to meet strict safety requirements, and these vulnerable versions of bundled products will raise red flags.  Can I remove the private JRE file and modify the .ini files to point to the 1.6u23 WHAT JRE installed on the system?  MySQL version can be upgraded to > = v5.1.52, or can you explain why it is not a threat to the security of the system?  Certainly, the system running IME is within a protected network, but we try to apply the principles of defense in depth, and attacks can sometimes come from insiders with a flash drive or a CD.  Thanks for your answer in advance!

    Martin

IME 7.1.1 will include JRE 1.6u23.  We do not support any change to IME as replacing the JRE, as you suggested.

We entered a bug to make sure that we update the database on a calendar so as they may be updated periodically.  The bug is CSCtn26880.

We believe that the current version of MySQL is not a threat to the security of the system for several reasons:

-The server is configured to accept only local connections.

-There is no default admin login.

-The admin password is unique for each facility and is not available for the user.

However, security can be improved by installing a box of Win 7, given that only admin users will have access to the IME files. This will be available when Windows 7 is supported in IME 7.1 (1).

IME 7.1.1 is expected this month - maybe - even this week.

  • How do I know my version of Java Jre I am with my WebLogic Server?

    Hello.

I have a little problem import Java classes (really is the JAR file) in Oracle Forms 11g, this error:

    "java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: prueba/Prueba: version unsupported major.minor 52.0.

I guess because I use different JRE versions in my IDE (NebBeans 8) and the Java version of my Server WebLogic I use running Oracle Forms 11 g.

Is there any file I could pick up my version JRE or Java in my (Oracle 11 g, part of WebLogic)?. I tried to check the 'default.env', but I did not find anything.

    Thank you.

Let me save you the time of hunting and pecking.  11.1.1 both 11.1.2 use Java 6 home of the Oracle.  It is the JDK used by the manufacturer.  So if you have built your class (or pot) with Java 7 (or newer) it will fail to import via the forms generator.  We do not change the version of JDK Java 7 home of the Oracle of v11.1.1, but in 11.1.2.2 it can be done even if a patch would be necessary.  This patch would be necessary both for the Builder and deployment environment (if they are not the same).

  • java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError and Java versions

    Hello-

I have provided some of our users with a pot that I compiled with Java 1.6. The jar consists of a single class. Users to run Java 7.  However, some of them receive this error:

    java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: bad version major < class > offset = 6

    So, I checked the following:

    - java - verbose indicates the class has been compiled with Java 6:

    minor version: 0

    major version: 50

    - java-version indicates the user is running a newer version of java:

    1.7.0_67

-the jar manifest States the following:

Created by: 20.13 - b02 (Sun Microsystems Inc.)

As I understand it, this means the java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError exception should not be made.

So I am confused - is there something I can do to diagnose or fix this?

    Thanks for your help!

It is clearly the problem of the management of versions. Re-compile all your classes with JDK 1.6 and deploy once more, if you don't know that users are running on JDK 1.7. Backward compatibility will never be a problem in the java programs have complied.

On another note, in systems where you get this problem, go to the Java Control Panel and see the correct JRE version used by this particular user's system. Each system you have by default installed JRE and which will be used by browsers most of the time
