First of all, I am a new Member and I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong forum, or if this issue has been addressed. A search led me to another post which dealt with matters that did not help my problem. If I missed something here that you please tell me the good post.

My problem is with my new keyboard to laptop computers. I recently bought a P300 (PSPCCC - 06101C) to Canada before moved me to the Philippines. It came with Vista home premium 64-bit. I had a real Vista Ultimate CD and installed without a problem but it is the 32-bit version so I lost some performance, but nothing noticeable real. Since I installed Windows 7 32-bit also without any problems. Using the 3 BONES that I had the same problem keyboard. The problem is when I type the cursor will be jumping to another area of the body of text and a few times to a different text box. For example I might be typing in a text box, such as those that I am now and the cursor will be moves towards the middle of the paragraph or in the google search text box. It is very annoying because of the many corrections to be made while typing.

I have not been able to pin point the problem to a specific key, but I think it's one on the left as the SHIFT key down or maybe even the space bar. I tried to change the locale for the keyboard, but that did not help. I read that I have updated the bios helped with some Toshiba keyboard problems but to get an update, I have to reinstall the original Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I am not prepared to do that if I have to live with this problem of keyboard or is there an easier way to install Vista 64-bit or even a new keyboard.

    Thank you

Before you start writing emails or else disable touchpad by using the FN + F9 key combination.
Maybe you accidentally touch it while typing, and the cursor will be moved to another place in the writing area.

  • Jump the cursor on Satellite series

Hi, I find that when you type a letter in word or e-mail that the cursor tends to move to another part of the screen, when I go through my typing, it is nonsense.

    For example:
Hi there, I found that when you type a letter p in another part of the screen, then when I go through my typing it total nonsenseword or email the cursor tends to jump.
If I press on the whilsttyping of mouse pad, I could understand, but I made a point to keep my hands free of this mouse pad.
Anyone experienced the same problem or has any ideas?

    Hi friend

have you tried updating your BIOS and your drivers? Perhaps a software update can resolve this issue easily.
If it is already done, just go [here | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp] and verify that the latest drivers. Momentarily another solution would be to use the "Fn + F9" key combination to disable the touchpad while typing.

If not, if this won´t really stop then you should send your machine to an authorized service partner, perhaps could solve this problem.

More I use Vista, more I hate it!

It came pre-loaded on my Fujitsu Lifebook. I had heard talk were many complaints about Vista and I wanted to stay with XP or Windows 7.  Each manufacturer of the laptop has been unfortunately Vista preinstallation.

    • When I use the word processor Works Windows, sometimes without warning he automatically becomes italic police without any input from me.
    • If on Windows works WP or on any page of e-mail online, when I starts to move the cursor, a little 'target' - as the icon appears when the cursor was and, either changes in font size of microscopic or 500% or more.
    • On the Internet page of wole can shrink or get huge.
    • At other times, with one touch of the mouse or touchpad, rather than the font change, the cursor may disobey my entry and the end to the top at the bottom of a page where I won't be, or somewhere else. When I get back to the expected location, it can repeat the same action three or four consecutive times before to behave normally again.  This makes typing manuscripts or very frustrating messages sometimes, not to mention a lot of lost time.
    • When you try to type copy from a printed script, if I don't keep control of the screen I can finish with margins stange, italic where they belong or phrases that are moved where they belong.
    • Sometimes when I'm trying the high - lite a word or phrase so I can drag it to another location, it will refuse to high light, making necessary use rear brace to delete the words I want to drag and retype the words to the new desired location.
    • Another problem is that the will of cursor down stubornly and turn several times since the location of the Center to the extreme side so that the rest of the page is covered.  Vista seems to have a mind of your own.

This set of problems seems to migrate from MS Word to MS Works, Web pages, and e-mail message composition.  I thought it was the new computer initially. I even returned it to Fry's electronics for maintenance two times.  I mean, they just excanged for another new Fujitsu Notebook.  When I got home, the replacement computer have behaved in the same way, which indicates that it's the software, not the hardware.

Funny thing - now that I complain on this topic in this forum and have written this much, it doesn't have behaved badly again!  The ghost of Vista must have been scared and went into hiding.  ;-)

Yet once more I use Vista, more I hate it!  -especially since I was in the middle of writing a book for publication.  In light of the frustration and the loss of my precious time because of these persistent bugs in recent months, I wish MS would trade my copy of Vista for Windows 7.  MS seems to be getting a reputation for releasing Beta quality software and call it a finished product.  You would think that MS wakes up to the fact that consumers expect to have for their money.  Everyone has the same problems?

Are there realistic solutions out there?    Hmm, no spell no checker on this page.  Sorry for the typos. :-)

You can get in trouble with your mouse device drivers, firmware and/or software.  This may be due to a Microsoft Update or any number of things (and could have happened to these two machines, if you did the same thing in both cases).  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you should get for your mouse at the very least and I consider the keyboard as well and make sure they are compatible with your device, and your version of Vista) and all you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem) leave the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

Also, your mouse may have the functionaality to change the font sizes and jump from one end of the screen to another by doing some things.  Read the user manual and/or research through start / Control Panel / mouse to see if this is the case and if so, it may be able to be disabled.  The problem with some of these "features are that if you don't know about them they can cause difficulties when they activate for apparently no cause when you actually not what caused the feature must be enabled." It took me a while to realize the CTRL-0 would change my IE screen at 100% size and I first thought there was something wrong until I discovered the problem by chance.  I say that, because the odds of two computers with the same exact defect are astronomical - it looks more like a problem as described above or a certain type of function you are unaware of (perhaps in combination with a keyboard input that is why I suggested that you update those as well).

I hope this helps.  If not, I am sorry to say that your best option would be to go back again to see if they can reproduce the problem (you use your way computer in case it is something you do) and either repair or replace again (or change to another computer entirely).

    Good luck!

  • Portege Z30-A-191 - the cursor starts to move by itself

Hello. I have a problem with the touchpad: sometimes (but quite often) the cursor starts to move by itself in a diagonal direction. Finally he stops, moving independently, but the problem can resume later. When the problem occurs, the notebook computer becomes unusable.

I ask a technician here at my work, focus on the problem, and he said that the drivers are up to date.

Is there any solution for this?

Can you please do a little test. Remove the driver for the touchpad from the system and check its operation with "standard driver. Please send us comments.

  • Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook 5000 - I can click but the cursor does not move

    Greetings,

I have a Bluetooth Notebook 5000 mouse that has a weird problem. It is well connected to my computer bluetooth, and I have all the updated drivers. Since last week, when I move the mouse, the cursor does not move (on the screen), but when I click on (either on the middle left, right, even scroll to the top and bottom), it works.

My guess is that the laser under the mouse thing is probably broken. I tried different surfaces to see if I got any kind of reaction, but none works.

Now the other problem is that the PID (as well as other numbers) number under the mouse is partially illegible due to wear. I can't see the last part of the PID.

Anyone got any ideas? And is there a way that it could be replaced under warranty, even with an incomplete PID?

    Best regards

    Philippe

    Hello Philippe,

    Thanks again for the update.

It is possible that there is a hardware problem.

I've never locked my computer.  Everything has been implemented in the store where it was purchased about 4 years ago.  I put my computer in sleep mode yesterday afternoon and just tried to use this evening... somehow, the touchpad is inadmissible and the cursor does not move.  He remains in the middle condition of the screen.  I turned off the computer and restarted, nothing done.  Can anyone provide a solution?

    Hello

Shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

If the pointer is still frozen, try double clicking the top left of the button.

    Hey Buddy,

I m a bit confused about your ad because it s not very clear, it means you the touchpad doesn't work and t, you can move the cursor?
Have you tested if the touchpad buttons work properly?

Probably you have disabled the touchpad. Simply press the FN + F9 key combination to activate the touchpad.

  • Touch the touch screen moves the cursor appear on another monitor in a multi-monitor for Windows 7 system

There are three 3 monitors on this system. Two of them are the screens LCD Dell 2407WFP-HC and one is the touchscreen Acer T230H. Dell monitors are connected to a NVIDIA Quadro FX3500 and identify as monitors 1 and 2. The Acer monitor is connected to a NVIDIA GeForce 7600GS and identifies as monitor 3. The system runs Windows 7 Ultimate x 64, with updates. Everything works fine except for the touch screen feature.

According to the instructions I used the Tablet PC configuration to configure the touch screen. In the installation program, reports monitor 2 Dell incorrectly as having entered touch available and the Acer monitor 3 reports as not having NOT available - also incorrect enter key.

When I touch the Acer screen, the cursor appears on the monitor Dell 2 and moves according to the movement of my finger on the Acer screen.

    1. Go to the control panel and search for "Touch".
    2. Click on 'The Tablet PC settings'
    3. Click on "Setup"... "right" configure your stylus and touch displays.
    4. Choose "enter." »
    5. Press the 'Enter' key until you see the instructions displayed on your actual touchscreen.  Tap the screen and it will say something like "press ENTER to move to the next step.

You should now see your contact to events (and mouse) are displayed on the touch screen when you... Well, touch.

    Hope that helps.

Have a problem with cursor jumping on laptop. Even when typing with one hand and hand isn't near touchpad, the cursor jumps. It is a HP Pavilion dv6 series. This ptop is one day old. Had a previous with the same problem and put out thinking that he may be a fault of the laptop but the cursor happened three times already since typing this note and I am careful not to touch the touchpad

    Hello

Yes, I think back at the dealership is the best option for you at this stage. Especially since the laptop is so new and because it looks like you are being careful not to touch the touchpad while typing, which is the cause of this problem, about 90% of the time.

  • Mousepad satellite will let me only to scroll, the cursor does not move.

Starting to get frustrated with this laptop.

I have to resort using a usb mouse able to get to the page, including something I want to do.

Most will not move to any, he'd just scroll up and down (when you drag a finger).

I tried to reinstall the driver, nothing helps.

I've had this laptop for about a year now, never had a problem until now.

He is literally out the blue. Research on Google, there seems to be a well known problem, but there is not a solid solution of the issue, which is ridiculous.

The mouse doesn't move if I'm holding down either the left or right click, click on the button, which is useless for me.

    Any help?

I don't know what model of laptop, you have exactly, but if you have problems using the internal touchpad, I recommend you to check the additional parameters of the touchpad:
Control Panel-> mouse-> last tab (click on the settings button)

If you will find all the settings associated with this touchpad problem, please check if the touchpad is not disabled. Usually the FN + F5 (in some cases FN + F9) would enable or disable the touchpad.

Finally and above all, the issue could be related to a hardware malfunction but before talking about hardware problem, the laptop should be recovered to the factory settings.

  • Suddenly, the cursor doesn't move and does not respond to the mouse

    Hello
All of a sudden the cursor stops moving. He is unresponsive to the mouse!  Even to turn off the computer, the cursor is passed.
Specifications: Windows XP Professional, Version 2002, Service Pack 3.
My friends you will suggest a cure?
    Newcomer.

    Hello

From your description, it seems that you have problems with your cursor

Please answer the following questions so that I could help you more

    (1) have you made any recent hardware / software change on your computer?

    (2) do you have a parallel operating system installed?

    Method 1: Fix the problem

If you use an optical mouse, check if light underneath is on. If not reconnect the mouse of the CPU and check again. Check if the connection is loose.

If it is already on, go to the method 2

    Method 2: A software patch

If your material is perfect, there could be a problem with the software.

Open the control panel by using your keyboard.

Open 'Mouse' and make sure that all parameters are correct and meet your needs. After making any changes, press enter or the key used to apply.

    Method 3: reinstall

Check the computer mouse driver. Go to 'Control panel' and open the 'System '. Choose "Device driver tab" and arrow down to '' mouse. '' Look and see if the driver is installed. If there is a yellow icon, the mouse has a problem. Uninstall the mouse and restart the computer. Reinstall the mouse driver and restart the computer.

If you still have problems or you want to help, feel free to reply to this message.

    Frank Kulash:

I'm stuck (mentally) to the fact that there is an amount without discernment of records in the base table for each type of REC_ID.

Some employees have 5 folders for REC_ID, 10 REC_ID 6 and 7 for REC_ID 7, which leaves me confused in how many self-joins I should do, or if it is at all possible.  I did a lot of arithmetic of dates with the data on the same line and certain ranks () functions for data residing on different lines, but this 1 seems to confuse me...

I ran 1 self-join as below to see what it looks like and it confused me even more because I know the timestamp of the arithmetic in where clause still will not produce data as I want...  I am now trying another way...

    SELECT td2.rec_id,

    TD2.emp_id,

    TD2.rec_date

    Of

    test_data2 td2

    LEFT JOIN test_data td1 ON td1.emp_id = td2.emp_id

    It's a good start.

You want an inner join, however, not an outer join, not you?  Outer join means "include td2 lines if they have data in the corresponding TD1".  If I understand the question, you are only interested in cases where it is matching data.

Here's a way to do it:

    WITH joined_data AS

    (

    SELECT d5.emp_id

    d5.rec_date LIKE date_1

    d6.rec_date AS date_2

    d7.rec_date AS date_3

    ROW_NUMBER () OVER (PARTITION BY d5.emp_id

    ORDER BY d5.rec_date

    d6.rec_date

    d7.rec_date

    ) AS r_num

    OF test_data d5

    JOIN test_data d6 ON d6.emp_id = d5.emp_id

    AND d6.rec_date > = d5.rec_date

    AND d6.rec_date<= d5.rec_date="" +="">

    JOIN test_data d7 ON d7.emp_id = d6.emp_id

    AND d7.rec_date > = d6.rec_date

    AND d7.rec_date<= d6.rec_date="" +="">

    WHERE d5.rec_id = '5'

    AND d6.rec_id = "6"

    AND d7.rec_id = "7"

    )

    SELECT emp_id, date_1, date_2, date_3

    OF joined_data

    WHERE r_num = 1

    ;

The subquery joined_data find all combinations of rows that meet the criteria.  We want to only 1 line by emp_id, so I used ROW_NUMBER assign unique r_nums (starting at 1) to all lines with the same emp_id and then, in the main query, rejected all but the 1st row.

Knapen had a good idea, but it won't work for all cases.  There may be situations where the only combination of rows that meet the criteria does not use the MIN or MAX of dates of one (or several).
