Jump the cursor on Satellite series

Hi, I find that when you type a letter in word or e-mail that the cursor tends to move to another part of the screen, when I go through my typing, it is nonsense.

For example:
Hi there, I found that when you type a letter p in another part of the screen, then when I go through my typing it total nonsenseword or email the cursor tends to jump.
If I press on the whilsttyping of mouse pad, I could understand, but I made a point to keep my hands free of this mouse pad.
Anyone experienced the same problem or has any ideas?

Hi friend

have you tried updating your BIOS and your drivers? Perhaps a software update can resolve this issue easily.
If it is already done, just go [here | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp] and verify that the latest drivers. Momentarily another solution would be to use the "Fn + F9" key combination to disable the touchpad while typing.

If not, if this won´t really stop then you should send your machine to an authorized service partner, perhaps could solve this problem.

Welcome them

First of all, I am a new Member and I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong forum, or if this issue has been addressed. A search led me to another post which dealt with matters that did not help my problem. If I missed something here that you please tell me the good post.

My problem is with my new keyboard to laptop computers. I recently bought a P300 (PSPCCC - 06101C) to Canada before moved me to the Philippines. It came with Vista home premium 64-bit. I had a real Vista Ultimate CD and installed without a problem but it is the 32-bit version so I lost some performance, but nothing noticeable real. Since I installed Windows 7 32-bit also without any problems. Using the 3 BONES that I had the same problem keyboard. The problem is when I type the cursor will be jumping to another area of the body of text and a few times to a different text box. For example I might be typing in a text box, such as those that I am now and the cursor will be moves towards the middle of the paragraph or in the google search text box. It is very annoying because of the many corrections to be made while typing.

I have not been able to pin point the problem to a specific key, but I think it's one on the left as the SHIFT key down or maybe even the space bar. I tried to change the locale for the keyboard, but that did not help. I read that I have updated the bios helped with some Toshiba keyboard problems but to get an update, I have to reinstall the original Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I am not prepared to do that if I have to live with this problem of keyboard or is there an easier way to install Vista 64-bit or even a new keyboard.

    Thank you

Before you start writing emails or else disable touchpad by using the FN + F9 key combination.
Maybe you accidentally touch it while typing, and the cursor will be moved to another place in the writing area.

  • . Jump the cursor to laptop

Have a problem with cursor jumping on laptop. Even when typing with one hand and hand isn't near touchpad, the cursor jumps. It is a HP Pavilion dv6 series. This ptop is one day old. Had a previous with the same problem and put out thinking that he may be a fault of the laptop but the cursor happened three times already since typing this note and I am careful not to touch the touchpad

    Hello

Yes, I think back at the dealership is the best option for you at this stage. Especially since the laptop is so new and because it looks like you are being careful not to touch the touchpad while typing, which is the cause of this problem, about 90% of the time.
The donor must be in a position to help to get a replacement.

OF THE C50 BIOS - UPDATE OF THE SATELLITE SERIES
    TO DO THIS OR NOT

Toshiba service station informs you of new updates published on the page of the Toshiba UE driver.
But it's not ' invitation to perform this update. It is only a notification.

However, I think that if your laptop works pretty well, the update is not very necessary.

    Hello

Control Panel/mouse/pointer Options, trying to hide the mouse during typing.

Otherwise, you can benefit from an update of your mouse of the manufacturer of the device drivers. Good luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Crazy" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com Windows help - www.rickrogers.org

  • Jump the cursor into the Acer laptop.

    Original title: cursor jump

Okay, I didn't read ALL the letters, but I read a lot.  I had this problem on my Acer for months, and it was driving me crazy.  I spoke to Microsoft technical support, HA!  I talked to Acer support, they wanted me $120.00 to fix the (unspecified) load "software problem" not covered by my warranty (see how to help you?) to my laptop 5 month old.  I have tried MANY fixes suggested for the problem, and the only one that worked (so far!) was touchpad freeze.  Thank you so much, anyone who posted this one!

    Hey cookiebetter,

Perhaps the follow-up on the thread whose suggestion fixed the question would have been more useful. There is a lot of talk circulating in this forum about cursor jumping and various suggestions such as reduction of sensitivity touchpad helped in correcting the errors. Apparently, there are many causes of this problem. But we are pleased to see that your problem is solved.

    Kind regards

  • Touchpad issues - error 0 x 00000103 on the R of Satellite series

I recently had to recover my laptop from scratch using CF provided by Toshiba. However, after upgrading all Microsoft patches my touchpad has stopped working. It is not the problem of Fn + F9.

The Alps driver is missing, also the application to manage the touchpad also does not appear. I tried to install the patch to the Alps from the CD but also downloaded the driver, but it fails with the error code 0 x 00000103 and then failed init 0 x 0000000.

Can someone kindly help me on how to fix it?

    Thank you
    KK

Hmmm... have you checked the list of all available updates? You should do this before the start of the update (auto update to disable).

I noticed that it is offered for entry Synaptics Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad option but this update is defined as option so must not be installed and you should only use the Toshiba driver installed.

What to do now? Try to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool. Sorry, but now, it won't be easy to do much. If nothing helps to install the new OS by using recovery image but then disable automatic updates and do it manually. Always consult the list of available updates and to avoid updates for hardware components. I do the same and everything works fine.

I tried to reset it with the usual Start 0 out and 0 switch on but when I select the reset option I get the message "cannot reset cannot access partition...". "or something like this - any ideas?

May I ask what model of laptop and what system do you use?
Have you changed anything on the HARD drive (partition table) in the past?

Obviously the recovery cannot start because the partition cannot be found.

  • Satellite A100-165; while typing the cursor jumps to the other place

    Hello

When I write with the keyboard sometimes the cursor jumps to another location.
Just this moment, he jumped at the entrance of 'topic' of wire.
    It's pretty random where he jumps but very annoying, I'm running a Toshiba satellite a100 165;

Anyone got any ideas of what this could be?

    Hello

    I had the same problem
I t has not noticed that I touched the surface of touchpad accidentally while typing.
This is the reason why the cursor jumped.

You can disable the touch pad using the FN + F9 key combination

In addition the BIOS update would also be desirable.

    Good bye
