Just another one of those hardcore Windows XP Boot problems...

Problem summarized: when Windows starts normally loading: "Windows has not start because the following file is missing or damaged: '\system32\hal.dll" Please reinstall a copy of the above file.»  This was due to a damaged boot.ini file (it is without a doubt, don't give me alternatives, I know that's what it is)

So I'll pass by exactly what is happening, or I can do when I choose options.  NOTE: I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO BOOT FROM WINDOWS CD!

When I turn on my Avertec Netbook with Windows XP computer, the title screen appears, and if I press F2 here, I can access configuration CMOS.  Who has all the BIOS settings and allows me to choose the boot device, I still access all the settings here.

If I let it continue, it goes to a screen that says "[F5] for HARD drive recovery," and I can also press F8 for advanced here options menu.  (If I let him go, he's going to where Windows would normally begin loading and displays the error message that I listed in the paragraph 'problem summary' at the top).  So if I press F8 and try one of these options, the same error message appears for all options, including the safe mode, can't get on it.

If I press F5 instead on this screen, it brings me to 'Installation of Windows (active EMS).  A window asking me if I want to restore my hard drive for purchase,I'll not do BUT, there is also a command prompt box (which seems to be the only one, that I can get).  It penetrates into the typed command in "X:\Windows\System32 > ', which I do not know is the right place too try to run startup commands.  Whenever I have type BOOTCFG or any extension of it, he says "ERROR: could not open the TRUNK." INI file.

I looked around the Internet and these forums to try to understand something, but nothing works.  I have never really been advanced with computers or anything, so if there is someone who knows possible answers, the more detail the better.  Thank you

Well, I solved the problem a bit.  I accidentally crossed a command "notepad.exe" as I was scrolling with TAB.  He opened a notebook here to restore HARD drive (which is apparently a feature of Vista on a computer made for XP...)  So what?  Well, in the open dialog box, I backed up my data just in case, via copy and paste, AND I found and open the boot.ini file and fixed!

So now XP will begin to start again, but it still just freezes like before and loading never ends.  Looks like a much simpler problem now, I'll look again through the forums

  • Problems creating a play list on my rocket (another one of those topics) .m3u...

I'll start by saying I did a search and have been through a few threads on the topic of playlists.

I have a rocket 8 GB, I use it in MSC mode and I use WinAmp to create my playlists.  I know how to create the playlist with WinAmp (using the instructions found in another topic) and most of the time it works...

My problem is that not all songs appear in my playlist.  For example, suppose I have 50 songs in the playlist I create using WinAmp, some of those who do not on my rocket.  When I load up the playlist, it will show (for example) 44 songs and not the full 50 songs.  I have no idea why it does so I hope someone here can help me.

Why most of the songs appear in the playlist, but a few never do.

I tried to use the Playlist Creator 3.5 and the same thing happens.  What could be the problem?

(Note also that the songs that do not appear in the playlist appear normally on the "rocket").

I found that the fuse does not recognize the non-English file name or folder name in the M3U playlist.  So if some of your songs have non-English file names, it will not appear in the list of reading but still appear in the "all songs".  Someone in this forum said that using M3U8 of WinAmp will correct this problem.  I've never tried but to the contrary, just rename all my files to use the English names.

  • Windows 8 boot problem after installing HP 8600

    Hello

I installed the HP Officejet pro 8600 more on my windows 8, everything has worked (scanning & printing)) except a problem:

The windows stuck at the starting procedure with a cursor blinking on the black screen.

When I unplug the printer from the computer, the problem disappeared.

(and after the boot process, I can connect the printer back to use it).

    What is the problem?

I installed the latest drivers for windows 8 (64) of HP.

And maybe one thing I should mention:

In the properties-> sharing tab I clicked on "Additional driver" and I installed the drivers both x 64 x 86 instead of only x 64.

    Thank you

  • V2V - Windows 2003 - Boot problems

    Hi all,

I have a little prob with a V2V Windows 2003 Server Standard (Hyper-V) after his conversion to ESXi 4. The powers of the virtual machine, but no boot process not begins - only a cursor flashes.

    Environment:

    Original Machine IBM 3650 (1.Generation) with Win 2008 x 64 Standard as a Hyper-V host

Target the Machine IBM 3650 M2 with ESXi 4.0 (effective from the website)

Conversion took place on the original (hot cloning) to the Server Machine target with Converter Standalone 4.0.1 (effective Web site)

The conversion is completed successfully (100%) and didn't report any errors.

The next steps I tried, were the steps listed in KB1006269. Unfortunately without success.

After the above, I tried another conversion of a Machine of Hyper-V (Windows 2008 32-bit Standard), which works quite fine on the new hardware.

Now my question: what would it be, Win 2003 Server does not start? The volume is accessible (as described in KB1006269 - CHKDSK does report no errors) but no chance to see something other than a cursor blinking. Please give me a hand - I don't got no more ideas...

Thx a lot for your support

    Jens.

I was ING p2v & had a similar problem and this fixed it.

I converted from vmware server 1 started on that, then converted to ESXi4 equipment 7

A bit of a pain, but it worked...

VMWare Converter seems to have special characteristics, IE. It's a good idea to recreate the swap files once the machine virtual windows starts.

    Hello

I guess that part of the question could be a driver which is really old or similar should not be loaded.

This exit Windows updates on (after you have access) and stop the updates of the driver to load.

I have an emachine with Vista for over 2 years with no problems, but recently, when I turn on the PC I get a black screen that says: "Boot From CD-ROM AHCI.  NVIDIA Boot Agent 249.0542.  Client MAC ADDR: 00 1 D 72 A9 D7 B6 GUIDE FFFFFF... "In order to get past this screen, I press Ctrl-Alt-Del and it will then start VISTA.  The last 3 days, the Ctrl-Alt-Delete method failed the first time and I had to repeat up to 3 times.  Now I wonder how long the Ctrl-Alt-Del bypass method will last.  What can I do to get the pc to boot normally again?

    start in safe mode.

    Choose Repair computer

Or the last known good configuration.

If windows loads in safe mode then uninstall any recently installed.

Maybe do a system restore to an earlier date.

According to the system requirements for Acrobat pro 7, it is recommended to use it on Windows 8 machines.

However, you can try to install and run using compatibility mode. You can download it from the following link

Download Adobe Acrobat 7 and Adobe Creative Suite 2

Note: as this product activation server is switched off, you will need to use the key to series mentioned next to the link to download during installation.

    Step 1:
I suggest you to check if the problem persists in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Step 2:
I suggest you perform the clean boot and check if the problem persists.

I suggest to clean starts and then download and install the updates.

    Hello

Most manufacturers provide methods to disable the touch pad so check with your
the manufacturer of the laptop supports, their books online and ask in their forums.
Make sure you have the latest drivers available - firstly starting from the manufacturer of the laptop
the site and on the site of the manufacturer of the real device (such as Synaptics or)
Alps) to see if there are even newer versions. They may also have an installable
utility to control the toggling of the TouchPad. Some use the function key (F-keys)
to enable and disable the touchpad (latest drivers).

There may be a utility in the notifications area (near the clock in the lower-right).

Panel configuration-mouse - there are often - tab device settings - settings
Some have a disable option and others.

    ==========================================

This utility also lets you control the TouchPad: (Vista, &, 8 & 8.1 - I have not
tried with Windows 10 but it should work.)

    TouchFreeze - free

    I hope this helps.

Can I purchase a single license for multiple software? Buy one for a single application, buy another one for another, etc.

You can purchase the license but on different emails if you need to use them on multiple computers. From an e-mail, you can install software on both computers. These two computers can be Windows, Mac OS, or everyone. If you install on a third computer, you will be asked to turn off this feature on the other two computers. You can then re-enable one of the two previous computers and use Cloud Creative apps on it.
