  I upgraded my Mac with an SSD, which works very well, with more RAM; However, recently, it has been very slow and train, and I don't know why. RAM is not being crazy, so it must be something else.

  Try to start:

  -Stop your Mac

  -Wait until your computer turns off and after that press the power button

  -Just after you hear the startup tone, press in and hold the SHIFT key

  -Release the SHIFT key when you see a gray Apple sign and the progress under this sign bar

  -Once your Mac boot, restart dhcpd as you usually do.

  If this does not help, follow the instructions below:

  -Stop your Mac

  -Wait until your computer turns off and after that press the power button

  -Just after you hear the startup tone, press in and hold the SHIFT key

  -Release the SHIFT key when you see a gray Apple sign and the progress under this sign bar

  -Once you see office, start a scan Disk Utility to detect and repair file system errors (remember to choose your primary hard drive)

  Just look on your current battery and check the part number. Using this part number, you should find a few (use Google) online shops where you can buy a new one.

  Alternative you can contact a service provider authorized in your country. They sell all spare parts Toshiba.

  As you can see it's pretty easy to get a new battery. :)

• Equium A300 does not recognize new battery

  I just got a new battery for my laptop. I plugged it in and it turns on ok and works ok on battery power, however... the battery meter in the taskbar is not recognizing the new battery.

  I get the error message "Battery not detected" when battery attached and AC plugged in, and I get "Remaining unknown" when just on battery and removed AC.

  My specs are:

  Toshiba Equium A300D-13 X
  Windows Vista Edition Home Premium

  Generic brand PA3534U-1BRS battery replacement
  Li-ion 11.1V / 7200mAh

  (Original Toshiba PA3534U-1BRS battery
  Li - ion 10.8V / 4000mAh
  replaced due to discharge very quickly: 20 minutes)

  Any help is appreciated all what I need to do to get the job of battery meter.

  Hi mate,

  If I understand correctly you don t use an original Toshiba battery more. Well, this could be the reason for your problem.

  What's the battery old Toshiba, original properly recognized by Windows? If so the case is clear: you should buy a Toshiba original battery! ;)
