Just got an email from Adobe to reset the password that I didn't ask for reset.
Just got an email from Adobe, it asked me to click on the link to reset the password, but I've never asked to reset my password, which is strange? This email is from Adobe.
In any case, I changed my password just in case.
Oh, just to confirm it is used as a reminder to change my password once a while.

(FBI) and the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), funded in part by the Bureau of Justice Assistance

It's in my junk e-mail folder.
Why is this email in your junk mail folder?Microsoft SmartScreen classified this as spam.I find it rather ridiculous. Why Microsoft Security would identify their own message as spam? A customers need to know?It seems legit to me, but I'm not clicking on one of the links until you verify that it is from Microsoft.I received a notice from Microsoft, a services agreement MS update.
He arrived in my Inbox, not the Junk folder. I use Windows live mail as my email client.
I would say that your problem is an isolated case. Might have something to do with your settings of filtering of the mails.
The e-mail is legitimate.

This is clearly not true. Or, at least, it is not an official letter from Microsoft. There are some red in this Email as; flags "the Internet Microsoft Windows users', which makes no sense. I would ignore this message and block, the one who sent it.

I just got a call from someone who said they were from Microsoft. It was obviously of the India. In any case, he said that there are problems with my computer and it asked me to do something, I would not. He hung up. He told me to click the button of windows on my keyboard. Then he told me type something in and running. But I refused. I said, how end I call Microsoft and give them your name... HE HUNG UP.
Hello DianeMcGettigan,
It is simply one of the many scams that are doing the tour.
Unless you have a prepaid support contract with Microsoft, then Microsoft will never contact you by phone, mail or e-mail about problems with your PC. You did while refusing to allow him access to your PC. All they want to do is to have access to your PC, so they can steal personal data (banking etc.) on your part.
This forum post is my own opinion and does not necessarily reflect the opinion or the opinion of Microsoft, its employees or other MVPS.

I just got a call from someone who said that they call microsoft Windows that they have received the error messages from my computer stating that my computer is slow because of problems of malware & spyware. I explained I mcaffe Security Center and she said this would not be effective against the problems that I made my excuses and hung up, it's a real phone call or I'm just ignore it?
my laptop has been running a little slow on the internet, but I assumed it was because of the age of the computer?any help thank you gratefully received chrisFake phone calls to technical support
You did the right thing.
Calls unrequested telephone of this nature are almost always a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.
Please see:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security/online-privacy/msname.aspx .
Microsoft issues never not solicited for phone calls of support or security.
These types of callers can use completely fictitious names or bogusly claim to be of real companies other than Microsoft as well.
