Just installed on my Macbook Pro 13 elements, and when I click on the file to open and edit a photo, it crashes every time!
When I click on file, open, pictures, it crashes! I downloaded the program from Adobe yesterday, checked the updates and downloaded three new updates but cannot open any photo to change. Someone knows what's the problem?
You use the new Photos app, no doubt. It's just how it is with Photos and an editing program that does not use the apple photo browser:

I check the toolbars are displayed and the Navigation Menu and bookmarks toolbars are checked to display. I uninstalled and reinstalled but still no firefox button on my screen.
The orange Firefox button is not the default on Windows XP, because it is in Vista and Win7. Right-click on the Menu bar and click on the Menu bar to select the option disable.

My MacBook Pro gets EXTREMELY hot when you run Photoshop CC
I just bought a new MacBook Pro 15 "retina and whenever I run Photoshop CC, my CPU fans start going crazy and my computer becomes so hot to the point where I have to leave Photoshop. I feel like it is about to begin to melt. I use the temperature monitor and rpm, fans SMC fan control and it to the top of the GET to 70 degrees Celsius and 6000 RPM. This happens to someone else? Is there a solution in preferences or whatever it is I do not know?
This does not happen with any other apps CC, just Photoshop. Any advice or pointers are much appreciated!

I JUST bought this new macbook pro and Lightroom installed, imported 2 lots of pictures, but all of a sudden he kept denying my imports with "could not read the file" or "couldn't copy file at the location requested. Help, please!
Your use of the word "files" (in the plural) still makes me believe that you have not checked the permissions on the folder that is appropriate (in the singular).
You must determine the Destination of the Lightroom Import dialog window Panel and see which folder Lightroom is really tr6ing to copy photos in (which may have been accidentally changed and is not what you may have used in the past) and change the permissions to write to this folder.

I just got a new Macbook Pro when I reinstall my CS4 Master Collection everything works fine, but I can't get Acrobat 9 pro to get the serial key
OK, it worked. Someone suggested dismantling drives all connected. In fact, no luck. But while all the disks were taken out and closed all applications I uninstalled Acrobat Pro using the application in the folder Acrobat Pro. Then I went back to the installer and have already told him only to install Acrobat Pro. Once done everything first, I opened Acrobat Pro. He asked to install some extras and I said no a few times. It opened and worked on a test pdf. With her still open I tried to open Acrobat Distiller. He did not ask a serial number, but I wanted to just install an extra. I said no again and it finished opening. Wanted to be my default PDF application but an extract which is better so I said, person not the last time. He has worked to create a perfect pdf of an Illustrator EPS. Hope this works for you also.

Problem installing CS5 on macbook pro no CD slot

I have Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design standard bought in France in 2010. It was installed on my Macbook Pro 2010 but I just changed to a MacBook Pro retina Yosemite 10.10.2 and there is no slot to insert a CD. I would like to install the software from the adobe Web site, I registered both by using serial numbers, but I don't know how to download CS5 on my new computer. I already uninstalled Adobe CS5 from my old computer, as I probably only a single permit.

If you do not turn off the product before you uninstalled it you should contact Adobe Support by chat and ask them to reset your activations. Normally, you get to have two facilities enabled so that you do not have to, but it before install and activate the new installation will facilitate as much as to always have an extra activation available if you wish to have a second facility somewhere.

I have PS 4, 5 and 6 is installed on my Macbook Pro and Lightroom 4 and 5. Can I remove PS 4 and 5 and 4 LR? PS 4 is the entire plant and PS 5 and 6 are updated. LR 4 is the complete package with LR upgrade.

First of all, let me disabuse you of a misconception: Adobe all upgrades are FULL installers. If you buy upgrades or new versions does not have one iota of difference. Upgrade installation programs do not need to find a previous version installed, they invite you just for the old serial number as well as the old one and they are not based on the old version in the slightest.
Second, the time to uninstall an earlier version is BEFORE upgrading to a newer version. If not, uninstall older versions will mess up with your new installation. There are a gazillion of the files that are named the same and in the same locations as the other.
Your best bet now is to uninstall ALL versions of Photoshop, you have it installed, including the newest one, one by one, and then run the Adobe CS clean-up tool, and then run repair permissions of the Apple desktop utility and finally reinstall the latest version.
The other alternative, if your boot HD is quite large (very questionable in the case of a laptop as a Mac Book), is to leave all the versions on this subject.

I just bought a new Macbook Pro (OSX 10.8.3) running and tries to install CS2, but problems. I talked with Adobe support that directed me to a download site (https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=cs2%5Fdownloads) where I downloaded the installation files (5 in total more than PDF). When I go to install I get an error message "Cannot open the application"Adobe Installer"for PowerPC applications are no longer supported."
What gives? I kind of get it that Adobe does not support the older software, but if I had known that the purchase of new computer would make my obsolete CS2, I would not do. I was fine with CS2 and does not need to be upgraded because I had all the features I needed. I paid a lot for it at a time and do not want to drop another $1 + to return to what I had to do before.
Anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this situation? I'm really out of luck?
You are out of luck I'm afraid. CS2 is designed to run on a PowerPC not an Intel Mac. License Apple software called "Rosetta" which has allowed PowerPC software to run on older versions of the Intel Mac OS x, but it has not been supported since OSX 10.6 (Snow Leopard) for OS x 10.7 (Lion) and OS x 10.8 (Mountain Lion) cannot run CS2. CS3 is the oldest version that will work on your Macbook.

I installed CC on my desk. I installed CC on my MacBook Pro. MacBook Pro is crushed, borrowed friends PC to finish the job. Bought a new laptop Mac, downloaded CC and guest has asked since I already had two installs woud I would remove all of the other computers to download on the new Mac laptop, so I said yes. Downloaded CC to new laptop Mac and now it says I have a 30 day trial which has expired, then no. CC new lappy. How can I fix it?
