And the router sees my laptop and authenticates.   Ipconfig all withdrew them.  Information using fixed ip.  DHCP has never worked on this laptop because I have owned. When I installed sp3 there is something that makes dns does not resolve so even though I can ping, be pinger and am authenticate to the net again I can not access resources or inet.  Help please.  No support for sp2 more but most everything worked fine.  Had a problem so I decided to go ahead and install and that's what happened.  Have uninstalled and reinstalled with the same results.
