    Hello

I'm having a problem with my Satellite 2450 where it is not initialize properly - is stuck in the screen of Windows XP (just continues to scroll through and hangs there).
I can boot into safe mode.
Have not had any other problems with it - no errors, do not have installed/uninstalled anything recently.

Any ideas what could cause this problem?
Do you think I should use the recovery disk to reinstall the OS? Anything less drastic I can try?

    any advice appreciated,
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Usually, if the laptop does not start correctly in normal mode, but only in SafeMode because some drivers or / and software applications are false or defective.
In this case, the recovery procedure should solve this problem.
If you n t have the Toshiba Recovery CD, you can install from the original CD of Microsoft's operating system, and then you can try to install stuff together from Toshiba (driver, tools)
These software, you will find on the page of the Toshiba driver.

  • Firefox does not start unless in safe mode, what to do?

One day, Firefox, Windows Explorer, or Windows Mail will start up. No explanation as to why. I have a connection to the internet, my virus definitions are up to date and a program that I use and which works through Remote Desktop says I'm connected to the internet. Firefox starts in safe mode, but even if I reset it doesn't start off safe mode.

Hey, installed new drivers for the video card and it works perfectly. It wasn't a good intuitive solution - it did not make sense to me beforehand that it was likely to work, but it worked so - so much for my intution!
    Thank you!

  • XP does not start even in safe mode

    Morning,

I'm having a problem with my machine so I think you better ask before as I have pay for some shenanigans of costly data recovery.

When I start the machine it starts very well, I can go into the bios end. But then, instead of loading windows need to standard safe mode screen. (I did not any software or hardware passes the machine in a few weeks and it has worked very well since that time.)

If I select all the options of safe mode 3 (safe mode, more networking, more command prompt) throws of machine up to a load of white text then asks me to press on enter to continue loading 'C:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys' and if I press on enter it reboots. If I press anything it restarts.

If I choose either start windows normally or last good configuration it starts to load windows (with the XP loading screen), then throws a 'blue screen of death' to a milliseconds so I don't know what it says and then re - start.

Is there a way I can re - install windows XP without losing files (word documents, etc.) on the disk? Or can I put the hard drive in another machine and retrieve the data off that way?

    See you soon,.

  • Windows Vista does not start even with safe mode in HP

Status: 0xc0000098 file: \Windows\System32\Drivers\914c7af9ebad1205.sys Windows Vista home gives this warning on trying to start. Will not go in safe mode. You have to solve this problem. Got the original disks from HP.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

You can try to re-install using the original HP discs.

HP should give you the possibility of a destructive or non-destructive restore.

Or try a startup repair and / or a system restore using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft

Manufacturers recovery disks normally do not have Service Options; they are normally a relocation to the factory only settings option.

Here is the guide to repair Options using a Vista DVD from Microsoft.

If a friend or a work acquantance of yours has one, you can borrow and use it for repairs.

If you do not or can not borrow a Microsoft DVD there is a download of a file ISO of Vista Startup Repair available that you can put on a Bootable floppy to make the above startup repair and that the method is recommended by a large number of posters in these Forums.

Unfortunately, you have to buy it.

  • MacBook does not start (even in safe mode)

Hi, I have a MacBook pro that won't start. When I turn it on, I hear the ring of priming, but then the screen stays black. I tried all possible troubleshooting recommendation, that I could find on the internet, but nothing makes a difference. None of the startup option keys (start in safe mode, mode disk target, selection of the boot drive, etc.) anything. I can reset the PRAM, but nothing else has even made a difference. All I see is a black screen

Last night, I tried to install another OS in a dual-boot configuration, so I was messing around with partitions on my hard drive. I thought that the worst case scenario, I could always reinstall the OS. Can really break the complete formatting of the hard drive boot sequence? I thought that a hardware failure would prevent me from booting from a USB stick recovery.

The computer is a MacBook Pro 15 "start 2013I think.

    Thanks for your time

    Command-R works.

  • Windows deleted files to space, now my computer does not start except in safe mode. Any ideas?

I got a message pop up saying I've been low on free space, I select the files to delete the computer option. He ran through the process and deleted files. I shut down the computer and have not used for a few days.

I tried to connect this morning it took forever to get to the password page, when I chose my name once again it took forever to load the password box. He then told the welcome as usual, but for several minutes and then the screen turns off, I left for almost an hour and nothing. I removed the battery and connected in safe mode that began end.

  • Firefox plant start up after update of Norton 22.5.4.24 - does not start even in safe mode

    Windows XP

Install Firefox 41.0.1 own - same problem
Install Firefox 40.0.3 own - same problem

Incident reports could help us by giving you an individual diagnosis, but if they are accidents of almost instantaneous startup, allow me to mention something that is 'flow' where you have this problem:

Firefox crashes a few seconds of starting if you have either the Applian Technologies Freecorder and Replay Media Catcher programs in combination with Norton Security software (and possibly other security software).

If you have either of these Applian programs and it is not essential, try to uninstall it then restart Windows to ensure that none of its components are running.

Firefox will start normally after that?

(If you do not uninstall the program, another user said he used msconfig to stop execution at startup and that fixed FlvSrvc.exe. See: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1086722#answer-789197)

The first entry is the regular Shockwave Flash plugin that Adobe puts for Linux.

This element appears as plugin.state.flash on the topic: config page.

The second is the PepperFlash plugin.
I do not know if this plugin would get a name different pref to disable.
You can remove the plugin temporarily from its installed in usr/for location prevent Firefox to detect.
