KB2446708 is updated daily

My windows update service keeps telling me to update the same update daily - KB 2446708 "Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 x 86 (KB2446708).  He has done that since mid-April.  I probably have 10 or 12 in my history of update.  Anyone know why this is happening?  Thank you.

You may have to restart your computer for this update is taken into account.

Update type: Important

A security issue has been identified that could allow a malicious user to compromise your Windows system running the Microsoft .NET Framework and gain control full top. You can protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.

I, too, had the same problem as MarsTH.  Every day since April 13, the KB2446708 update tried to install it but failed.  I'm running Vista, and I reboot my computer every day so it's not the problem.  Of course, I would like to find a solution to this.

  • Updates daily, but is unable to install! Crashes regularly.

Hi all: I have windows 7 installed on a HP Professional laptop.  Initially, it had Vista, but I updated through HP last spring.

Whenever I stop, trying to install updates, which is daily. Currently, it tries to install 13 of them and my setup log shows literally hundreds of times as there downloadedl of each of them.  The next time I turn on the computer told me to wait while it configures the computer attempts to install the updates. Then he goes down and comes back to some previous settings and again by the same nonsense. In addition, it is crash-prone gives me a blue screen and an error message which goes off quickly, while it restarts.  I scanned the mechanic help system with nothing fancy.  Any suggestions?  I actually think to reinstall Vista, so you can see that I'm annoyed.   Thank you

In addition, it is crash-prone gives me a blue screen and an error message which goes off quickly, while it restarts.

If your computer is restarted when the BSOD appears, then you must change the by default for what to do in case of system error. It is easy to do, buttakes a lot of mouse clicks to get there:

Start | Control Panel | System | Advanced system settings (needAdministrator information here |) Advanced | Startup and recovery /settings.

On this screen, clear the check box under system failure that says: Restart automatically. The next time the BSOD appears, your computer doesn'tanother thing until what you press the hardware Reset button, so you'll have everythingtime you will need to read and copy the error codes. Paste it here, verbatim, and someone should be able to point in the right direction.

  • Version 39.0 still updates daily, on... shows no new number?

Almost every day (?) I get a cursor by announcing that there is a new version or an update. I click on it to read it, and the window opens for the update version 39.0. If I were to check the Firefox 'About', the text reads "39.0, Firefox is updated, you are currently on the beta update channel"...?
So, are these updates do not follow a numbering sequence? I know how these updates are not intrusions, etc. ?

    1. 2. is there a way to get out of the beta version, just in case? That I should?

    Thank you! -most popular!

The current beta is the next version of Firefox 39.0 (39.0 RC) which will be published next week (Tuesday) if all right, so you will not get new updates on the Beta update channel until the switch to Firefox 40 later next week (probably Friday).

There has been 5 generations so far and who can explain the many updates, you received.

  • is there a way to pause my MSE daily updated?

I'm running a Dell laptop and XP with a DSL connection that says it runs at a speed of 100.0 Mbps. every day when I start my laptop, it takes forever to do anything until the daily update is complete. Sometimes I need to check something real quick and I have to wait forever. It would be nice to be able to suspend the update until I finished to do what I need and then resume where it is not important get info fast. updates only take 3-5 minutes, but it's annoying when your in a hurry and you can't get what you want without taking a coffee break...

No problem, girlfriend. Updated & MSE is a little tricky.

Set to automatic update/Microsoft Update will offer definitions updates and program updates (i.e., improvements in engine version & application) to MSE. If a user rejects them, MSE will always auto-updated daily (updates definitions day & upgrades to the engine). If a new version of MSE becomes available, MSE will prompt the user to install it.

  • Will run out of disk space with these daily updates of MSE my HP/Compaq Presario with Vista?

I'm sure this has been asked before.  I just installed Microsoft Security Essentials after the uninstall of a problem FREE AVAST ANTI VIRUS.  PC is better/work order.  But these daily updates of Microsoft are troubling.  I have 103 Gig capacity hard drive with space of 'FREE' 69 Gig.   And abandonment.   I don't do very MUCH with the PC.  Basic stuff.  Account management.  Look at Yahoo and Accuweather. Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

  • Why Developer edition of Firefox ask me to update?

It isn't really a problem, but Firefox Developer Edition ask me to update to version 44.0a2, which I already

What version of Firefox do need it?

Do you need a stable version as the rejection, or even the beta version that will become the next version and get an update about twice a week?

Or you don't mind updating daily with one using a generation night to test new (unfinished) features that will be part of a future version?

The Nightly alpha1 channel sometimes gets a respin, and if you missed the first update then you will need to download the full version (45 MB).
Editing (alpha2) does not get a respin because that only code that has relied on the Nightly channel for some land of week on the update channel, as well as the channel is a bit more stable.

Our that it is always recommended to install the current version, or at least the beta if you decide to use one of the alpha versions, so you have a relief if certain Web sites or of any browser does not work.

  • >: everyone is having the same problem with all the days that I have now with the update on thursda after update, it could not be started "could not find xpcom" restored Dáil

with the update of daily Thursday (Australia) after update owned couldn't boot received message "could not find xpcom.
I then restored by day sauvegardΘ installed upgrading again every day would not restart with the same message
I tried again on Saturday you have the same problem
I'm now ignoring the update message that is very annoying because he wants me to update daily

The bug in question should be solved with a daily update of today. However, I agree with the recommendation to go with 31.0 once it comes out next Tuesday, or at least to use the beta versions (once per cycle) as a compromise between stability and get the latest features and updates to the platform.

  • Satellite X 200-219: Question about updating the display driver?

Sad tales I've heard talk about manufacturers of laptop never updated to gfx card drivers apply to toshiba?

Any info on the question of whether an update for their SLi systems drivers display is on the horizon?

    see you soon-

The fact is that display driver cannot be updated daily as for desktop computers. Priority by the manufacturers of cell phones is worrying about the operation of the equipment. Using new graphics card drivers will be forced to run faster and better that offers better graphics performance. The result is essentially an overheating and may end with a faulty graphics card.

In this case, the card mother together must be exchanged and it costs a lot of money. So, I think that no one can say with certainty when the next pilot will be available.
