  Follow these steps.

  1. Go to Download Firefox 4.0.1 and download the installer to your desktop.
  2. Then go to add/remove programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and delete it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations, etc. (don't tick the box).
  3. Reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
  4. Finally, run the installation file downloaded previously on the desktop.

  Your bookmarks, etc., customizations are stored in a different location and will become available to you even once you complete the installation.

  After completing the installation, go to the Plugins check page and update if necessary.

  Details: Basically what happened was that when I first started using Lightroom 2, I made a critical mistake.  I had an external hard drive full of about 30 000 images, some of which were copies or duplicate into separate folders, etc.  My idea was that it would be easier to sort photos and make them more organized then burn DVDs copies of the originals and then delete.  Now, I actually just a huge mess, because I started to sort the images in what I thought would work as an organized sorting system, to realize that once I moved to them I broke the link etc.  Some of the pictures are new and some are from the external drive.

  In Lightroom, go to the library Module, Panel of catalog, all the photographs. Set the sort order in the toolbar under the grid of thumbnails: sort by capture time, descending. Now your latest photos are at the top of the grid and your oldest at the bottom. You can also change the criteria to sort the menu: view-> sort.

  If you want to perform a specific search by year/month/date, turn on the library filter, choose the metadata section, select Date in one of the columns.

  I don't know, and where you want to save the images of the inside of Lightroom. If you want to burn the images, burn all other files just like you. Your mac must have a disc burning utility, or the system may be able to do it directly from the Finder.

  But why burn? Format you your hard disk before you reinstall Lightroom? You can leave the disk hard drive and reimport them in Lightroom after reinstallation.

  I don't think that you need to uninstall Lightroom to start over with your organization. You can simply create a new catalog and import your files after you organize them as you wish on your drive.

  I am admittedly new to Lightroom CC (moved close to 60 K files from Aperture) and I see a strange behavior when trying to use the built-in HDR function.

  I get some files in a stack (shot using HDR bracketing function of my camera, so they are taken a fraction of the second part all), right-click to merge pictures > HDR (or via the keyboard ^ H)-I HDR dialog, click 'Merge' and the progress bar moves as expected.

  But when the Fireworks is completed, there is no new HDR files to be seen.  No idea of what is happening and what I can do about it?

  After hearing my hard drive, it seems that the HDR file is created - but not added to my Lightroom CC catalog.  I'm sure that this still isn't normal behavior (I hope)!

  My problem began with what the tool "Import opening" Lightroom made my old library structure.  At the opening, I catalogued my photos in (language of opening) a project a day of filming, each labeled with the date & topic and all in one folder per year.
