Keep changing my homepage to go.webalta.ru
I put my homepage of eurosport, but everytime I open FireFox, it opens go.webalta.ru.
I tried to restart the FF with option "troubleshooting."
I scanned and remove what has been found. But some of them come back.

I keep changing my homepage from Yahoo, but it keeps going back to Firefox Homepage each time that I open it again my browser.
It's strange. You have a program named Advanced SystemCare? Some users have reported that it has a function of protection of homepage that you should turn off in order to change your home page.
If that does not apply to your system, could you review this support article and see if anything here helps you: How to fix preferences that will not save.
A little luck?

I don't want Google as my home page, or use it as my default search engine. WHY IS that Firefox is constantly reset my homepage to Google? I hope no more Google, so I DON'T want TO HAVE IT as MY HOMEPAGE. It's really pissing me off to have to return my homepage almost everytime I open Firefox. In addition, I have my anti-spyware configured to block any attempt to change my homepage, and I see the warning popping up almost every 20 minutes. This is NOT acceptable and begins to make me question YOUR credibility if you put in your service to the things that are reached that the user very clearly and in a targeted manner wants.
I've been a user of Mozilla for something like 18 years. This latest version is the FIRST TIME that I felt like your service is less above board. Fix it, or I'll find something else. I won't be using a product that ignores my intended way of use. I only give you the way to lea to solve this problem, because you have (at least appeared) reliable up to this point. My patience is not long in this respect.
I'm sorry that you are having this problem. I can assure you that we will be using the homepage of your choice, and w are not even in partnership with google, because it is not something that Mozilla did it on purpose (that we will always respect your choice to the user)
I would try the following:
- Sometimes, this can result in a corrupted Firefox profile. Try the procedure described in How to set preferences that will not save and let me know if it works.
- If this fails, try an update of Firefox, Firefox Refresh - reset the parameters and modules
- Finally, this can be caused by malware. Try looking for malware with scanners to troubleshoot Firefox problems caused by malicious software

When I try to change my home page, there is no "apply" button to hit, so the browser returns to the old homepage when I reopen it my browser. I made sure that my browser is up to date, but which did not help. I was able to change my homepage for a long time, with success, and he stayed there. I didn't notice when it has changed or what may have caused the change to come. I'm on Windows 8 with all latest updates.
When you try to change the home page? There is no 'Apply' button in Options > general-> start - button restore default should back to Subject: House .
Or you can use current to use Pages in the general tab.

Third-party source is trying to change my homepage.
I get a pop-up stating that "myfuncards" has blocked a third party attempt to change my homepage, then a "Firefox" message saying someone is trying to cheat it download and update.
Your system details list shows an extension can be seen as a malware and MyFunCards is among them
You can disable or uninstall all suspicious extensions that you install yourself, or you're unsure of.

Once I installed a game and he asked me to change my homepage to AllGamesHome.com and my default search engine to search for AllGames House and I accepted it, but now I can't change it to any other even if I do under the Tools menu options it gets changed back to AllgamesHome when I restart firefox.
Go once more to: config and type in the AllGamesHome bar, then delete everything you find with AllGamesHome in it.
Thanks again

Impossible to change the homepage «Handycafe»
I use Mozilla firefox version 3.6.9 on win 7 x 64 dell desktop computers... I recently installed customer Handycafe on my machine and later it uninstalled in safe mode... Now I can't change my homepage of mozilla to handycafe haomepage... I tried ad-aware, spybot S & D, tuneup, etc. but nothing helps...
Help, please.
There are several methods to lock a preference, I do not know what Handycafe application method would be used. The following link can help, first try the user.js file section - https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Preferences+are+not+saved
Your user agent string is "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows;" U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; (RV:1.9.2.9) gecko/20100824 Firefox/3.6.9 handyCafeCln/3.3.21 ", because it shows handyCafeCln added to this, standard HandyCafe uninstall removes all traces of Handycafe. It is possible that the customer to handycafe is always installed. See the solution on this similar issue - http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/728649

Is it possible to 'lock' the homepage so apps can not change? Sometimes I install new programs to evaluate them and they change my homepage. I'm using Firefox 3.6.12. Thank you!
The following method will not prevent the homepage change, but whenever you start Firefox, it starts again home page return to the one you want if it has been changed.
- First you have to open the profile folder, for details on how to do this see the article of profiles - where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data .
- Close Firefox and using a text editor create a file called user.js (this file may already exist)
- Add the following line to user.js, using the homepage you want.
user_pref("browser.startup.homepage", "http://www.google.com/");
For more information about this file, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/User.js_file

In HKEY_USERS\ Shell folders values. By DEFAULT keeps changing
I have a screen saver application (Google Photo Sideshow) which seems to look at the value AppData Local stored in the registry of the user Shell folders key in defining its cache folder, which is in turn the location of the XML file that tells it where to find pictures. (Sorry, I know that was complicated). Anyway, I also wanted to set the screen saver to the Windows login screen in the HKEY_USERS\. DEFAULT registry section.
My problem is that the values stored in the Shell folders for it. DEFAULT profile continues to change. Sometimes they point to C:\Documents and default User\... and sometimes they change to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\... and sometimes the fair white value out completely.
Can someone tell me what controls the values stored in this folder, and why they keep changing? The user Shell folders paths all remain constant with % USERPROFILE%\... I searched for this answer for weeks and can't seem to find someone who can tell me why these values change according to what rules they changes, etc...
Any help would be greatly appreciated... :)
