Kernel Panic in OSX but not Windows (Bootcamp)

I have a 15-inch MacBook Pro (early 2011) which has recently experienced sudden stops and the kernel panics. Panic report always comes out:

panic (the appellant 2 cpu 0xfffffff7f8d8ae4e6): "MCO GPU REGISTRY RESTORE FAILED: rdar://7254528, VendorID invalid"@/Library/Cahes/com.apple.xbs/Sources/AppleGraphicsControl/AppleGraphic sControl-3.11.33.1/src/AppleMuxControl/kext/AGCPowerManagement.cpp:1158.

....

....

Here is what I have done so far:

-Went to the Apple Store for the MacBook Pro video problem Extension program repair (it goes the diagnosis made here)

-Ran an Apple Hardware Test (error 4HDD/11/40000000: SATA (0,0)) and repair of disk utility (no problem found)

-Re-installed backup Time Machine but still experienced kernel panics

-Erase the Mac partition and made a new installation of OSX but panic kernel continue to hamper

^ - After completing these steps I suppose now that it is not a problem related to the software/OS, so I thought it must be a hardware problem. The strange thing is that Windows 10 on my Bootcamp partition still works and has no problem. I don't know if I'm missing something, but if it was a hardware problem (hard drive, SATA cable, RAM, logical card) so shouldn't the Windows partition also have problems?

Please let me know if you have ideas or suggestions. I'm stuck with Windows help in the meantime.

When the Apple Hardware Test results by generating an error code, there is a hardware problem.  The error you posted indicates a problem connecting to the HARD drive.

It might be useful if you have published the report of whole kernel panic.

Ciao.

When you play a file using Media Player in Windows 7, there is a sound noise on the file, the same file in Windows XP is fine. The file has been converted to WAV using Wavelab in Windows XP and is fine. It is only on Windows 7 machines, there is a problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

    1. is the specific question at this specific file format?

    2. do you get an error message?

    3. the problem persists on a single computer to Windows 7?

Most likely you are missing a codec. You can set Windows Media Player to automatically download and install the codecs.

    a. Open the Windows Media Player.

    b. click on Tools and then Options.

    c. click the Player tab.

    d. check the Download codecs automatically.

  • iPad displays in iTunes but not Windows 7 computer menu

I have an iPad 3rd Gen (Wi - Fi only) with iOS 9.3.5 and I just updated my iTunes to 12.5.1.21 64-bit.

now, it will not be displayed in the windows for me transfer photos. but it appears in iTunes and I can see here, but I want to transfer pictures manually.

in devices and printers, it is listed under Unspecified as Apple Mobile Device USB Driver. in Device Manager, it appears only as Apple Mobile Device USB Driver, and when I check the hardware ID, it is USB/VID_05AC & PID_12A4 & REV_0310.

I uninstalled iTunes (and all the modules of Apple) and reinstalled, rebooted the iPad AND computer, tried stop and start the Apple Mobile Device service and MANUALLY install the driver in the folder files, as it says on the Apple site.

am I missing something, or is iTunes 12 just broken?

    Hello darkflux88,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that your iPad is recognized by iTunes, but not by the Windows 7 system. I have three support articles that relate to your problem. The first is more relevant for the iPad being not recognized by iTunes, but also contains information for the Windows operating system. The other two relate more directly to Windows does not recognize is not the iPad.

  • BIOS v3 - 772 G watch 2nd disc but not Windows 8.1

    Hello world

Just got a new SSD to use as the startup disk for my my V3 - 772G.  BIOS recognizes correctly the SSD model and serial number, but the SSD does not appear in management records or Device Manager.  Any ideas on how what to do?

    Thanks in advance.

Well... it took a day and a half of messing around, but I have a solution.

First of all, here is the short version without all the false starts and dead ends.

I put the new SSD in a USB 2.0 - SATA1 box.  After that, Windows disk management may recognize the SSD I quick formatted and checked for errors, of which there is none.  Not wanting to wait for the slow external connection, I put the SSD in the 2nd Bay of V3.  I downloaded Mini Partition Wizard tool and used to shrink the C: partition on the HARD drive to a size that would go on the SSD (including all collection and other partitions).  I then downloaded Macrium reflect free and used to create a key USB bootable with himself and Windows PE is installed.  Reboot with F12 to choose the USB boot, upward is a window with Macrium showing the disk of 1 TB and the SSD.  Cloned Macrium then the SSD HARD drive.  I then removed the two discs, left for the SSD HARD drive mounting bracket and then screwed the SSD into the first drive Bay.  Restart and celebrate with a beer.

    In the long version...

I started by unplugging the adapter, remove the battery and to undo the 9 screws on the lower cover of the V3.  Instead to completely remove the screws, I just lifted the cover with the screws in their hole and set it aside.  Given that the screws do not seem to have the same length, this avoids having to follow that screw goes in which hole.  Then I placed the Toshiba 256 GB SSD Q series in the second drive bay, and he slipped into the SATA connector.  Without a spare fixing bracket, I used a rubber band around the SSD to prevent it from sliding around the Bay.  In hindsight, it was not necessary given that the V3 don't would not travel during cloning and the SSD would permanently in this Bay.

After replacing the cover, screws, battery, plug in the adapter, reboot and start-up of Windows disk, to my dismay Windows Management could not recognize it.  Even more curious, a reboot with F2 showed that the bios could see the SSD with original 1 TB drive.  I was almost sure that disk management would see the SSD if I could format it.  Given that the laptop does not come with a Windows disc, I looked up the means to download or create one I knew that it is always an option to format a drive putting a top BONE.  I checked again and there is no option in the bios to format the drive.  Google search showed me that Microsoft makes it nearly impossible to create a disc of Windows for any OEM of Windows and that the new UEFI bios interfaces do not formatting at the bit level.  So I was forced to shut down, disconnect, de-batterie and open the lower cover to get out the SSD drive.  The rubber band came out too.

After reassembling the V3, I then put the new SSD in a 2.0 - SATA1 Nexstar USB box I used once to migrate an old Toshiba Portege M400 tablet PC SSD.  Once the speaker has been connected to one of the USB 3.0 and the V3 restarted, Windows disk management may finally recognize the SSD as a removable USB drive.  I quickly formatted the SSD drive and checked for errors, which there was not.  The error checking, took a while, so I remembered the many hours that it took to migrate this ancient tablet.  Not wanting to wait for the slow connection during the cloning process, I closed and open the V3 still once, back the SSD into the 2nd Bay, without the elastic.  The SSD has been visible to disk to restart management so that I could start the actual cloning.  Yay!

I downloaded Mini Partition Wizard tool and used to shrink the C: partition on the HARD drive to a size that would go on the SSD (including all collection and other partitions).  I then downloaded Macrium reflect free and used to create a Windows PE boot on a spare USB drive.  That USB drive had Windows PE and Macrium installed on it, even if you wouldn't see it with Windows Explorer.  Reset with F12 to select the USB drive as boot drive, upward came Macrium showing the disk of 1 TB and the SSD.  It was a simple matter for Macrium clone SSD HARD drive.  I then stop, removed the two disks, left for the SSD HARD drive mounting bracket and then screwed the SSD into the first drive Bay.  Restart and celebrate with a beer.

  • USB device recognized on Windows 7, but not Windows XP

Last week, some of my USB devices need not be recognized on my Windows XP SP3 laptop.

First of all, it happened with 2 external USB HDD connected via a mini USB hub. Connecting them individually did not solve the problem. The error I got was:

USB device not recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has worked and Windows does not recognize.

More importantly, the laptop is no longer recognizing my USB thumb drive, which works perfectly on my Windows 7 machine to work.

Can I reinstall my USB drivers? Just remove the USB devices, reboot and let Windows reinstall them? They need to be specific to the manufacturers of the drivers?

I deleted it and reinstalled my hubs USB Device Manager etc, but a device is not installed correctly: mass storage controller. It is of course preventing me from accessing the USB and external hard drives. Where can I get the drivers for this if Windows XP does not have?
Sure that the key USB is FAT32 (the default format)
I went in the properties of the mass storage controller in the Manager of peripheral and copied the device ID. I did a Google search and was surprised to find that it was a card reader. I downloaded the drivers from my manufacturer Web site, and Windows has detected and installed the drivers for the card reader, as well as the mass storage controller. The USB appears in the Explorer, but shows 0 items. I have
After the reboot, the USB is not in Windows Explorer, and when I unplug and reinsert an error comes up saying the USB device is not recognized and malfunctioned.

The solution was to turn off the laptop, remove the power cable and leave it for a few hours, before feeding it back.

Windows detected and installed the device very well then.

I don't think that I understand perfectly why he fixed.

  • WRT160N connects portable wireless on Windows 7, but not Windows XP

Windows XP worked well on WRT54G, but got laptop additional which has Windows 7, which of course was not compatible with WRT54G according to troubleshooting on Windows 7. So, bought a WRT160N, which I believe is Version 3.

1 run the Setup for the WRT160N on the XP computer and went well. But trying to connect wirelessly, the login screen sits there trying to connect to the router with an indication referring to "verify the identity. The number of packets received only amounts to about 3. The LAN cable works like a champ, if this isn't the purpose of a wireless router.

    2. I asked the password WEP to Windows 7 computer laptop and it works fine.

    3. what should I do to clean the connection to the Windows XP computer?

Click the Start button > Control Panel > here Network Connections - right click on "Wireless network connection" icon, then select properties - click on the "authentication" tab - uncheck "activate the network access control using IEEE 802. 1 x"and click Ok. Now, again go to the network connection and try to connect to the wireless network.

I use windows 7 Sony Vaio laptop.  My laptop detects the internal mic, but also all other microphones. But it is not picking up all the sounds. My external microphones are working perfect with all the other PCs and mobile devices. I tried the solutions for the following problems, but nothing has worked.

    2. the microphone is muted. Some microphones have an external control for muting. Make sure that the mute control is disabled.
    3. the microphone input level is too low. Make sure that the microphone input level is set correctly.
    4. the microphone connections are not properly attached.
    5. a different microphone is selected to be used with speech recognition.

Thanks for the link, but DriverMax doesn't seem to work with printer drivers.

I found another way, see http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/102359-get-your-vista-drivers-missing-files-back/ , but I did a little easier: simply use disk on the extracted folder of Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\
