  My son has a Toshiba Satellite R10 P750 and problems of spontaneous closures.
  Looking at the system log, it is a 'kernel Power Event 41"for each occurrence.

  My personal opinion is that you should back up all important data and reinstall the OS. It is certainly more radical method but also the most effective to solve these problems. After doing this you will own preinstalled OS and everything will be OK again.

  I have a Dell Latitude E6440 Win 7 Enterprise 64 running on a domain. It will connect to an unsecured network, and he can see the secure network in the list when I click the icon for the wireless connection on the system tray. When I go on manage wireless networks, the secure network is not displayed (and so I can not delete the network to try to add new). Normally, we would add the network protected here. I click Add, type the name in the correct syntax, add the necessary information (2/WPA-Enterprise TKIP or EAS) and click Next, it returns immediately with "an unexpected error has occurred." • Window 8 Pro blocks due to error Kernel Power event 41

  I upgraded my computer from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 8 Pro.
  My machine started crashing (BSOD equivalent) randomly and often.
  Watch the crash dump data (Event Viewer) and theses Win8 accidents result from 'Kernel-Power' (* event 41) error.
  Due to the absence of any information on the nature and the rectification of this event and error Kernel - Power, I had to assume that it might be linked to the power supply feeding the processor (or the kernel of Win8).
  My Windows 7 Ultimate has been solid as a rock and NEVER crashed.
  So I have to make another assumption that the problem is NOT with my hardware but the fault can be caused buy an aggressive CRS of the internal vote to the kernel of Windows 8 Pro.
  To confirm this hypothesis, I was able to reinstall Win7 [ty Acronis] an image already made before Win8 upgrade.
  Windows 7 DO crashed before installing Window8.  When I reinstalled Windows 7 BACK from an image, it always goes NOT down.

  My third assumption is that this BSOD is NOT related to my hardware or Windows 7.
  I've actually gone as far as my power ELECTRIC (Antec NeoPower 550) and PS (under load) test is strong, as indicated with the proper functioning of Win7, but NOT under Win8.

  A few additional tests indicated that I continually movies playing in the background, window 8 crash at all.
  I don't think this is the type of solution to this problem that I'm looking.
  I will continue to blame Windows 8 for this problem because my Antec power supply nor Windows 7 is at the heart of the problem.
  I also have a sneaky suspicion that this problem will not be solved anytime soon.
  But we can only hope someone can answer to these problems.

  I have the same concern on a clean install win 8 pro 64-bit.   The kernel power event 41 ID error occurs when the computer is off or it restarts unexpectedly.   While many may be called from a previous thread, I have made, my monitor that's happened wobbly with will power during the boot. I have not solved this issue, by the by, but think it's time for a new monitor.

  However, today when I went to go do something else while leaving the start the computer to the top, I came back and (while the screen was still ongoing and disable this monitor because), I noticed he had a BSoD. I couldn't read anything on this screen because of the screen, so I restarted the computer (what makes the monitor stop acting in place).   I don't know what it means at all, but what I'm collecting, event 41 is related to the PSU? But if it is the power supply, what block of POWER of the MONITOR (which I guess would be the problem as the monitor was going to power he has) or power supply of the current COMPUTER (which I really hope is not the case)? Or is it something else entirely?

  In addition to all this, I noticed that everytime I start the computer and run Core Temp to check the temperature, I often find it starts at about 50-60 degrees and rest around there until some good long minutes (about 20-40 minutes) before it comes down to temperatures that are easier to manage (30-40 degrees). I guess that's just the Tower need ventilated, but that would be linked to the sudden BSoD on boot to the top?

• Kernel - power 41 63 eventID task

  Hello, I'm getting random reboots on my laptop for quite awhile now and I could really use some help.

  Things to note: I have not changed any hardware what so ever, the laptop is 4 years old, all software that I install are legitimate, I also tend to use ccleaner to clean the registry every time I uninstall a program, as I am of devices using a mouse and speakers, I have disabled all standby modes Hibernation of my power options.

  Things that I did to solve the problem:

  1.I run memtest x 86 deliver multiple passes to check whether a material, I got 0 errors.

  2. I changed my diet with a new brand, but the problem persists.

  3.I used Coretemp and my gpu gpu Z and my pic carrots to 76 Celcious to Celcious 75 during the game (which, in my view, is actually pretty good).

  4.i have unchecked every option in my devices in Device Manager that allow the computer to turn off this device to save power, I also disabled the controller high definition audio in Device Manager.

  For what it's worth, my laptop is Toshiba satellite L750.

  1-if clean you install and do not install anyway it should fix this software.  It doesn't seem to be material.

  2-probably not.  BSOD is always a combination of things. Stakeholders have their own driver?  In General, it is probably not the cause.

  3. There was no mention of problems with heat in EV and heat usually occurs in video driver crashes that weren't yours.

  I'm a BIG fan of own facilities.  I do my computers at least every 3 months (usually more frequently) and have the procedure within an hour.

  So my new laptop has stopped 3 times in the last 2 weeks, randomly.  No BSOD, no nothing, just nearby.  kinda like if you have unplugged or removed the battery.  He always turns on no problem.  All 3 times it was plugged in and the battery is charged.  In the event log is as follows:

  3 event errors are the same.  By chance I hear that the first accident was while I was surfing the net with IE8, it was the only common thing and 1 single tab - on yahoo.com.  The next crash I played Stalker through Steam.  And finally, when I had only Firefox running with 1 Tablet and I was not even touching the keyboard or the touchpad, I just read the screen, lol.

  I thought I found the problem, but it always stops at random.  I called HP and they said that it's probably the motherboard.  I think that's their standard answer if they have no idea what is the problem.  In any case, I have to send it back, I got it for Christmas.  Now I have to use my old laptop for several days.  I am not happy that nobody cares, have a good day.

  These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

  Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.  Launch auditor.  You need not run memtest again unless you want to.

  If you are overclocking anything reset by default before running these tests.

  These were related to scmndisp.sys which is a driver that is associated with a Netgear wireless adapter.  Yours is 2011 so I re - install the most recent driver available and update the following drivers

  The cause of the unexpected stops is not immediately obvious. Here are a few notes that I wrote a while back on this type of problem.

  Most system failures result in a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) and creating a report dumpfile providing that the computer has been configured to create reports.  In a limited number of system failures no dumpfile is created. A report is generated when the computer is then started and logged in the system log in Event Viewer. The report is given a number of event ID 6008 and provides very little useful information, save that the cause is unknown and it took place at the date and time specified. . Another report is placed in the reliability monitor with a red ORB on the line from various failures and it is saved as a failure critical. Unfortunately, the technical details for this type of failure revealed no additional information.

  The most common causes of this type of failure that all relate to the power failure. These may be because:
  1. the user has pressed the Power On / Off button.
  2. a power failure or a loss of supply to the home or office where the computer is located. If that happens, it will be often obvious because electric lights are only other electrical devices turn off.
  3. a faulty electrical device on the same circuit that the computer or the computer triggers the slave switch or blow a fuse and shut it down for security reasons.
  4. the cable between the seizure of power and the computer becomes disconnected at either end.
  5. a power surge or a lightning strike occurs. Your computer needs to connect to a power supply without a break, which then connects to the power supply. If an incident occurs, you need to reset the power supply without a break. Without one of these units in place, a shot of lightning or power surge can damage the computer.
  6. a defective power supply. The best test here is to remove the existing power supply and replace it with a PSU that is well known with the same capacity. Most individuals do not keep a supply of alternative at hand.
  7. a power connector damaged or disconnected cable or the motherboard in the computer. You can check the cable is properly connected, but a damaged motherboard is not easily checked.
  8. If the computer is a laptop check if the battery can be fully charged, hold the charge and was or was not connected to a power supply when the failure occurred.

  Your problem could be overheating?

  With a desktop computer, you will need to remove the side panel right and remove dirt dust bunnies fans. Also, make sure that all the fans are working. Safety switch the computer off and pull the power cable before removing the side panel. You can then turn the computer back on and check that the fans are working.

  Then turn off the PC again and leave some time for it to cool down. It is best to use a wrist band, which you set on the casing of the computer to you the earth before touching anything inside the envelope. You can buy one in a store of computer accessories. Static electricity can damage a motherboard if you don't take precautions.

  Then, you use a small brush to remove the sheep of dust around the fan on the processor. I used an electric razor, cleaning brush. I use an Air blower to clean the power supply fan. An Air blower is also useful for cleaning keyboards.

  Removal of the dust bunnies should reduce the noise that makes your computer. It can also reduce overheating, which can lead to errors of Blue Screen of Death.

  If I bend my laptop [Dell Inspiron 1525, Windows Vista Basic] or manually set the computer "Sleep", I find that it always restarts * [THIS PROBLEM ONLY OCCUR WHEN YOU PERFORM a CLEAN RESTART] *.   This has been driving me crazy for a while, but after checking the event viewer, I noticed that there is an event that seems to fit with each failed attempt sleep.  It goes thus:

  I think that this could be the root of the problem.

  But also, if it helps, I found that there is also an another very common mistake happens, and I don't know if it's related.  It is:

  I was not able to find any forum messages from anyone who has this exact problem.  The server is plugged into an APC Smart UPS RT and has a charge about 50%, so a conditioned power is not a problem.  I looked at Dell Server Administrator and there is not on the server or reading errors that are inconsistent.

  Any help is greatly appreciated!  It will be a production server and I need space and running as soon as possible.
