Suddenly, my keyboard doesn't work after a cold start. The touchpad still works so I am able to move the slider autour, but none of the keys on keyboard activity. All about the Tablet seems to work from a tactile point of view. Reading another post on this forum suggested to uninstall HP System Event Utility, then reinstall using the link provided in the solution. However, the installation was interrupted due to the incompatibility with my system.

I've recently upgraded the operating system of Win8.1 to Win10, but returned to the time where I ran out of memory on my 64 GB ssd. I did a week ago and everything worked fine except that it seems to take more time to do a cold start or restart. Not sure if this is related or not.

I understand that your keyboard does not respond.  Why did you move to Windows 10 but returned to 8.1 of Windows due to lack of space on your SSD 64 GB.  Now your (virtual) keyboard edge works very well so you are able to navigate, but the physical keyboard does not respond.

Have you checked the connections during the docking of the keyboard to make sure that they are aligned and course?

After return to 8.1 Windows do you have all your Windows updates?

Did you run HP Support Assistant for HP updates?

When it is connected if you check device manager is the recognized keyboard and if so is there any mistake about it?

  • Tecra M7 - display will not be repeated after 10 minutes of inactivity

Hello everyone, I'm new here so please be patient with me! :-)

I've had my new Tecra M7 for about a week now, and while everything else seems to work perfectly, there is a problem with the LCD screen. By default, it is configured to turn off after being idle for 10 minutes. The problem is that it won't resume from this State.

I see that the laptop itself is working (he reacts to pressure on keys etc.) but I had to Hibernate and resume the screen lights up. The touchpad and keyboard activity doing nothing, only hibernate.

At the office, I use the laptop dual-view mode with external 19 "LCD screen connected as secondary display. In this case, the external LCD display will resume after moving the mouse or touch the touchpad, but the primary laptop LCD screen will remain inactive until hibernation.

My question is: do you have someone running into the same question, or that someone has any ideas?

I thought to upgrade drivers Quadro NVS, but discovered that the pre-installed ForceWare drivers (version 84.52) accompanying are actually more recent than those displayed on the nVidia site (84,26 - confusion)! Also he reports (everywhere in the system), it has 256 MB of video RAM, so the specification Tecra M7 on the box says 128 MB so I don't know which is correct?

Thanks for all the ideas in advance!
    RADO

    Hello

Certainly, the nVIDIA Quadro NVS 110 M on the Tecra M7 graphics card supports 128 MB of video RAM.
Graphics drivers from Toshiba are not the same thing as the manufacturers of original cards drivers. Toshiba drivers are a bit changed.
You must use the drivers from the site of nVidia, but especially on the site of Toshiba.

If there is a newer version of the graphics card driver, then remove the old and install the driver from the website of Tosh.
Additional if the new BIOS have been published, you can try to update. But be careful. Be sure to use the good BIOS and the correct procedure for updating the BIOS.

    Good luck..

    Hello

Try to clear the CMOS or pulling on the battery settings. Shut your PC down, pull the AC power cord and remove the Panel from the turn right to access internal components.

Please see here for the location of the battery on the motherboard and the CMOS clearing instructions (riders). HP reverse the motherboard during the installation of the tower.

  • Need help! Does not start. Only get '_' in the upper left corner.

    Hi, have the following computer:

    HP-Pavilion model: KZ849AV-ABA s3500Z

    Running: win 8.1 (32B) 2G ram

Have not had any problems I know, so far.

    Run norton regularly, no problem.

Stop the machine to get out.  Returned, tuned back on and now will not start.

It lights up, passes in front of the screen for "F9" "F11", etc.

Then crashes on startup with a single "_" in the upper left corner.

    No beeps or error messages.

Have you tried several attempts to diff power off, unplug, etc..  Same results.

Have tried to interrupt the boot to make "diags", see the boot menu.  Everything seems fine, from what I can tell.

Don't know what else to do.

As mentioned, saw no problem before that to my knowledge.

It helps the tight connections and no keyboard activity.

Possible victory 8.1 automatic update when the last stop arrived.

Recovery disks, I did several months ago when I upgraded to OS to win 8.1

But I don't want to go down that path and reload everything.

Any ideas how to check the boot sectors, chkdsk, etc.. ???

    Thanks in advance,

Hi guys, thanks for all your comments.

    I managed to understand.

I used the 'flash' player who made victory - 8.1 you create during the installation of win - 8.1 fresh.

    It's like a recovery disk.

I started off of him and was able to use Diagnostics out of it to check the hard drive.

He said it was to fix hard drive errors, then restarted.  Got the same new cursor. Then run this process again.

Got mesg diff on the correction of hard disk errors, please wait.

It restarted again and is came fine.

Several reboots confirm the problem disappeared.

I think that probably the hard drive boot sector becomes corrupted.

I'll keep and eye to it and document, we had this problem with the machine.

Will chose to replace the hard drive or buy a new machine.  Which ever option the woman wants to take (his machine).

    Thanks for your comments.

PS You forgot to mention that I disassembled the machine and cleaned carefully.  Back together and restart with the same problem.  Then I did the above stuff.

  • How can I leave the program runs longer than the duration of sleep?

I have a desktop Pavilion Elite HPE - 110 t (win7) .  Turn off display & sleep have the default value (10 & 20 minutes).  According to the instructions that I read (somewhere in the paper documentation) when I got to the computer a few months ago, I do not turn off it during the night.  I think included grounds for diagnostics to run (by default grid) & I "think" I've seen (the next day) scans messages, updates, etc. have been executed.  I however turn off my modem to prevent the activity internet auto (anyway) during the night.

This configuration has been satisfactory until this morning, when I tried to leave an app running I knew would require more than one hour to complete.  I had other non-computer tasks to do & did not sit the computer baby to keep him awake.  In fact, I thought that 'activity' (including the activities of memory without keyboard activity) he would keep awake.

To my surprise when I got home 3 hours later, treatment stopped about 45 minutes after the start.  This was determined by the timestamps of the output files.  Normal processing resumed after that I have he awakened from his sleep.

Is there a way (outside change go-to-sleep time setting each time) to allow work of long-term programs/application to keep running & to go to sleep after the treatment is finished? Am I wrong to think that 'auto diagnostic' are running when the computer & I sleep at night?

    Thank you

The process will continue even after the monitor goes to sleep.

I first noticed this problem when you make copies of images hard drive hard drive.

  • Windows 7 installation hangs

Nine card mother Asus A85XM-A, 120 GB of disk with all deleted partitions.

At the start of the system installation disk for WIndows 7 (64-bit Professional SP1, Inc.), but load original file once finished and "four points" animation is complete, the system hangs on the screen "chose your region/language. No mouse or keyboard activity.

Same DVD installed Windows 7 using the same DVD player and hard drive previously. What has changed is the motherboard.

I feel I should put something in the BIOS, but I tried 'set the optimal options' and got the same result.

Various linux live CD seems to boot OK.

    Thanks for the tips.

If you have compatible hardware and your computer still stops responding, disable any unnecessary material. Remove (USB) universal serial bus devices. Remove or disable network cards, sound cards and cards of the series; and then restart the installation.

You might want to try switching around memory modules and see if they work.

  • Eclipse continues crashing on Windows 7 64 bit

For some reason, Eclipse continues screwing of the permissions of files on Windows 7 64 bit. And it was going so well...

Spontaneously, as he compiled the code, it fails creation of subfolders under the MyProject\bin folder.

The first folder it creates under bin has invalid permissions. He won't show me the permissions, owner or even let me touch even as an administrator.

Yesterday, I restarted in SafeMode as administrator. Then I reset all the permissions of files and the property at hand. Reboot and it always it.

Then I restarted in safe mode. Copying the files on a USB FAT Flash (to remove all file permissions). Then delete the originals. After having returned to normal, I have recreated the workspace, recreated all projects and import all of the files. Things are back to normal...

    Now today it is started...

    Has anyone encountered this?

    BACKUP SOFTWARE!

I use a real-time online backup service. As soon as I cleaned up the project, it would be the start to rebuild. As he created the folder structure, the backup client catch record for instant blocking access to it. This is what caused the failure. Stop the backup client that he fixed.

The reason it started happeneing is that before I had excluded bin and .preprocessed records. There is no need to save in any case...  Alternatively, it may be on pause with keyboard activity. That would solve too...

To debug what I used the following SysInternals (free download from Microsoft).

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb842062

The suite includes a command-line utility called Handle.exe that lists all open files and the processes that opened. When I typed 'handle myproject', he entered the records in question, next to Backup.exe.

    DOH!

  • Windows Media Player is lagging during the game and songs to jump.

Just today, my Windows Media Player started acting odd. When I play a song, it will appear to freeze, but after 5 seconds or so, it starts to play. It's the same thing when to jump tracks. She also takes about 5-10 seconds to stop playback when I hit the break. When it does not freeze, he says 'Changing Media' in the lower left corner. This problem does not occur when I use a reading list, it is quite normal, it doesn't seem to be a problem when reading my library. I don't have any problems with other media players, such as iTunes or VLC player.

I've been looking for a solution online and most of the people with a very similar problem to mine fixed by disabling audio enhancements, but this has not worked for me. This problem has just appeared from nowhere. The only recent change to my computer is a new keyboard, a Logitech G15. I've hung yesterday evening and was listening to music without any problem. But when I turned on my computer today, I was greeted with this problem. I plugged my old keyboard, thinking that he could be the problem, but still no solution.
I'm out of ideas. Any idea of what the solution may be? If this can help, my computer running an AMD Phenom II X processor 4 955 with 8 GB of RAM and my sound is crossing a Radeon 6850 through HDMI on my monitor.
    Thanks for any help.
    [EDIT]
I just noticed that Windows Media Player stops is when I close. The window closes, but I can always see it used in the process, and I have to close it it so that it can turn off completely. Do not know what is causing that.

Nevermind, I finally thought to it. The software for the keyboard activated something called "windows media player gadget for windows sideshow. This seems to be causing the lag. I went to the Windows Sideshow and disabled options program for my keyboard.

  • Why when I press on my delete button doI get number six instead of dele6te

Why when I press on my delete button doI get number six instead of dele6te as you can see in the word delete 6666666

Although some other possibilities are the most likely cause is a faulty keyboard. If you can borrow a USB keyboard free to try see if the problem still occurs. You can even do this with a laptop and I have both internal and external keyboard active.

  • How can I disable the Atl + underlined letter shortcut?

This has been driving me crazy in Adobe Premiere!

When editing in the timeline panel, I often use the shortcut 'Alt + mouse wheel' to zoom in and out of clips.

The problem is that Windows has their default Alt + the underlined letter shortcut keyboard active. It's one where you press 'Alt' and the letters of the drop down menus highlights / highlights a letter.

So if I Zoom in/out on my calendar (Alt + mouse wheel) and you want to access the Razor Tool (C) it shall show the drop down "music video.

This happens to all my shortcuts button once I used the shortcut "Alt + mouse wheel".

Is there way to make it so that when I press 'Alt' drop down menus don't highlight in anticipation to thwart my shortcut next and ultimately frustrating me?

    It is in Windows 7.

Neil, unfortunately this link did not help much...

However, my rage fueled more searching and I found a few solutions!

    Solution #1

Just press "Alt + Ctrl + Scroll" for zoom in/out while going is not in the drop-down list.

It takes just a small adjustment of muscle memory, but it works perfectly fine.

    Solution #2

    Install AutoHotkey

In an insert in the text file:

    SendMode entry

    #NoTrayIcon

    #ifWinActive ahk_class Premiere Pro

    ! WheelUp::Send! {WheelUp}

    ! WheelDown::Send! {WheelDown}

Save as something.ahk and place it in your windows startup folder.

Double-click the file or reboot to run the script.

This disables full "of accessibility" window using Alt in Adobe Premiere.

    The problem is completely solved!

    Solution #3

Install SharpKeys and reassign the left Alt key to something different. I've linked to Alt-left and that worked very well. The problem is that you must use the right shift key for the mouse wheel zoom.

in any case, it's everything I tried. It was a minor problem but would make me a headache. All three solutions to work in their own way. Simply choose the method you prefer.

  • Yoga 2 Pro - keyboard is not activated when you open the lid of the screen after sleep

My Yoga 2 Pro has very often problems to activate the keyboard when I open the screen.

    That's what I do:

    -work with Yoga 2 Pro

-Close all applications and after that, I close the screen

-After some time (maybe a few minutes or several hours) I open the screen

-It will take a few seconds until the screen is turned on (which is expected)

-at least 50%, the rest keyboard disabled. The backlight cannot be activated and the laptop does not notice any key. I'm unable to log :-(

-J' I need to close the screen, it takes a few seconds - and when I open the screen for the second time, the keyboard is enabled - not always, but usually. But sometimes the keypad remains disabled, although I try the procedure several times. If that happens, I need to restart the machine.

All the drivers are up to date.

@Lenovo: Please indicate how to solve this problem! It's very annoying open-close-open-close-open-... the display up to what the keyboard is finally activated!
