  Hello world.

  I looked all over the Internet a Blackberry app that allows me to dial calls through my Blackberry using my desktop computer, while they are hooked together via the USB port. Surprisingly, it doesn't exist.

  A simple application of this concept would allow me to highlight a phone number on the computer screen and then to have it pass the phone to the Blackberry to dial number. Another simple application would be to use the numeric keypad on the keyboard of my desktop computer to dial the phone number. In an advanced application, I have a system of contact management running on my desktop that allows me to make phone calls via the Blackberry by putting of the notes on my PC and then synchronize my data in the Blackberry, so that when I go to the office, I have all my data with me.

  That's how the real world works.  A lot of sales and senior managers are in and out of their offices every day. When in the office, using their computer to dial through their Blackberry offers many advantages:

  (1) an appeal of a client by using a line of office could mean that the customer calls back on this line of office when you are is no longer there. Outgoing calls on the Blackberry ensures that when you receive the call back, you'll be able to consider minimizing the phone tag.

  (2) we will take seriously.  Call with the computer allows for a much faster cleaner composition. Composition on a computer keyboard is much easier to use the very small keys on the Blackberry.  If you have to do a lot of quick calls, do on the computer is going to be a lot better than trying to do it on your Blackberry.

  (3) If you have an expensive phone system in your office, it can be very expensive to buy a PC interface for this, which allows you to compose your calls using the computer. Interface your Blackberry to manage calls solves this problem.  Better yet, nobody can apply to their boss, technicians or the bean counters to get there.

  I really think that something like this would be very useful to anyone who made a lot of calls and who is in and out of the office. In other words, most Blackberry owners.

That said, it seems to me that simply put a file in a folder on the Blackberry with the phone number to dial, and then to have an application running on the Blackberry that observed for this data file and reacts him by dialing the number should be possible to do.

  I have a problem with my physical keyboard button "0 (ZERO). Initial it use to work as a 0 whenever you press it, do not hit alt for it to turn into 0. but now when you press the button GOOGLE NOW appears as the first option. I have to use the ALT option to change it to digital.

  Follow this, but remember, if you reset the phone, you need to do this again

  1. press on button green phone left of the blackberry button.

  2. press the blackberry button.

  3. scroll to speed dial list.

  4. (you should be able to see all the contacts that you have assigned letters for) go to 'A' and press enter.

  5. Select a contact and press ENTER.

  I'm having a problem with the keyboard on my BB "BOLD".  Whenever I type - even if I touch only one key for a second - the character sleeps up to 5 times on the screen.  Its incredibly frustrating when texting speed.  If someone has experienced this problem and if so - do you know how to fix it?

  Sounds like a software deliver me, or unless it has water damage, check if the moisture return sticker became Red or pink.

  Hi all

  Yes, I'm very new to this, even if I have had a Blackberry for almost 2 years.  So... my situation is that I can't find any help to find a "Dial Pad Screen".  I must confess I have a Palm Treo, and it was a screen of dial pad.  That is until I through a moving car after being so sick of all the crud it was day after day, after day, etc, etc, etc!   Well, you get the idea.  In any case... I would really like to know if I have to do?  Download an application of somesort, maybe?

  I'm not aware of an application that does this? If you attempt to dial a number like 1-800-COMCAST, or something like that? All you have to do is to hold down the ALT key when you form the letters and it will dial the correct number.

  It sounds as if you have a phone to screen off.

  Go to the phone module, press the menu button, then go to Options. In Options, select General Options. In this list, I think that there is a setting to the homepage screen composition. Make sure that this option is selected and save the changes.

  If the keyboard has worked before and it is just stopped working, the prescription is a battery pop reboot. With the machine running, remove the rear cover and remove the battery. Wait about a minute and insert the battery and replace the cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long long long restart the process (perhaps as long as 10 minutes). See if things return to normal. Like all computing devices, a restart may be a healthy thing.
