  I've been transitioning my app to the latest beta version of 3.9 AIR for iOS 7, and I'm running a wild question. No text field trigger more the virtual keyboard. The cursor blinks, and if I select different textfields, the cursor moves there. But the software keyboard does not appear. Come to think of it, it's possible that I already had this behavior 3.8, which I had not been in for a long time for debugging reasons, so I never pulled in 3.8.

  It is really unfortunate that you see this. I tried a sample application using softkeyboard and stageText but could not able to reproduce the problem.   Get a cheap USB keyboard and see if it works.  You can buy those cheap for $10 or less.  The fact that the keyboard does not work in the BIOS means is not a Windows problem.

  I have a Macbook Pro 13 inch with OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

  Hi, thanks for the response. I have a keyboard and shortcuts will turn off. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I did run by pressing Windows key + LeftShift. I did a few tests now and there is something to deal with the Windows key + Fn (dell laptop). After pressing that firefox combinations see keyboard. WinKey + LeftShift operate again. Thanks anyway!

  When I press F2 or F12 to switch on the keyboard behaves as it should.
  However if trying to load a Boot CD or Usb car via the options F12, the device is recognized

  What makes strange, is that an external keyboard is recognized but the mirrors one internal.
  I have the latest version of the bios update.

  Insert bootable back disk via F12 option-charges but no keyboard reagent.
  I think a partial corrupt bios

  For me, this looks like a problem with your startup disk.
  I installed OS using different disks of Microsoft or USB recovery media and all you have to do is click on most of the time on the button NEXT.

  If the keyboard works in BIOS and Windows, I see no problem with the keyboard there.
