Keyboard error
I use a HP P7-1120 with Windows 7 pc. When I use the "key of the character does not appear. I enter the character two times and then go back to only show only one character. Same thing happens when I use the capital letter. All other keys work OK. I use a United States International for the language. Other installed languages are English-Canadian and Icelandic. I had this problem since I installed the Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse. If I use Canadian English, special characters appear differently. Snoopyviking
Thank you for your assistance. I tried all the options you suggested. They do not seem to solve the problem. However, I found that the character appeared after the seizure of the next character. I have to assume (a dangerest thing to do) that this character works as it is supposed to. Yes, I'll post a KUDO.

· It's a wired keyboard or a wireless keyboard?
· Who is the manufacturer of keyboard?
· Since when are you facing this problem?
· You did changes to the computer before this problem started?
· Have you tried to restart the computer and check if the keyboard works normally?
However, you can try to uninstall all the previous and software drivers installed for the keyboard by following the steps below. More later, restart the computer and install the latest drivers and software and check if that helps you solve the problem.
Step 1
Remove the drivers from the computer. To remove the drivers to follow the steps below:
a. Click Start and enter the type of search box of start of the press and "appwiz.cpl".
b. in the programs and features window select the keyboard software installed on the computer and uninstall the drivers.
Step 2
During the uninstallation, the device in the Device Manager, make sure that you follow the steps below:
a. Click Start.
b. access control panel > system > hardware > Device Manager.
c. open Device Manager and expand the keyboard device.
d. right-click on the device keyboard and uninstall the device.
During the uninstallation of the device in Device Manager, make sure that you place a tick against 'delete the driver for this device '.
Step 3
Also, you can try to update the drivers for your keyboard from the Device Manager and check if it helps. Access the link below and follow the steps to update the drivers.

0211 keyboard error, press F1 to continue
I was running a spybot check & when I got back to laptop it was empty. Nothing worked so I let electricity run out & when restart got the error keyboard 0211 press F1 to continue so I did. When I tried to log in to my user account, nothing happens when I press a key. As a system administrator, I get basically the same result when I think I found the solution yet in a few other places system administrator accepts the password. I am able to use, as usual, other user accounts

Ideas: Hi... pls expand on how to find it:
- Access the Debug menu by clicking on rw + ff + ch2 buttons when starting.
Choose 'check fs' and restart your device. You have problems with programs - Error messages
- Recent changes to your computer
- What you have already tried to solve the problem
Here are some ways to know if it is a hardware or a software problem:
- See if the problem persists when you use an external keyboard (i.e. a USB keyboard)
- Check what happens when you use the on-screen keyboard. You call it with the command osk.exe.
If it's a software problem then you should check if it persists when you start mode without failure.
- Access the Debug menu by clicking on rw + ff + ch2 buttons when starting.

For 2 weeks, I was not able to use the 0 (zero) key on the digital side. All the other numbers work very well!

If so, then its certainly a problem of keyboard internal...Solution: replace the keyboard.

Keyboard-error on my laptop satellite

For the past 3 weeks I have luckily able to use the F, H, P, return back on my Satellite keyboard button. Other buttons work fine.
Is this a known issue? I also update my BIOS Firmware and you are looking for a newer version Keyboarddriver but nothing help´s!What can I do?

From time to time people say here on similar problems, but most often the keyboard is defective so it must be replaced.
I put t know which model of laptop you have, but if the warranty is still valid contact the nearest Toshiba, service provider and ask for help. -
shortly after startup keyboard works very well. After an hour or two typed alphabets do not match what appears on the screen. This is true if I'm looking for windows, password or using windows. However, if I enter the alphabets in the field of google/bing search internet explore the correct alphabets appear.
Try another keyboard.
And make sure you have the latest drivers / software installed for it.

I guess it is a laptop with a touchscreen tablet. Try adjusting the sensitivity or turn so wide and if you still have the problem.

Here's a link to a tutorial with pictures that shows exactly how do to replace the keyboard to insidemylaptop.com. Follow the tutorial and it must must be a pretty quick job. Be very careful with the Ribbon connector as they are easy to break.

Can't be a laptop with a stack of sliding t - it? I always disable mine because if you accidentally touch it while typing, you will see what you describe.

Keyboard on my satellite error - 'L' key seems to be stuck, forces logut
Hello I'm fixing a satellite phone with a keyboard error, the 'L' key seems to be stuck permanently down, except that it's not! Also by clicking on the button start requires the user to be disconnected and returned the the login screen.
The keyboard is very well, I checked and cleaned and he ran through a keyboard test program, I started the system by using restore dvd navigation of xp sp2 installation.
Updated the bios to the latest version of xp put, same error.
I restored using a different copy of xp sp2, same error.
I've also been to windows update (without clicking Start!) and checked to make sure that the laptop has had the latest updates (there) is not a problem of update, I also checked for viruses and the machine is clean.
If someone has had this problem or did someone knows how to solve. I don't want to not bin the machine because it is only two years old, but she seems to be a hardware error any in my opinion.
I have used some text here in a previous post on the closed forum that was not resolved so indeed I'm restarting, but I have the same problems-plus in my case disconnection forced by clicking Start.

For me, this looks like a keyboard failure.
A friend of mine had a similar problem with non-Toshiba notebook.
Finally, the technician changed the keyboard and the problem was gone.I think you should just ask a Toshiba ASP, who is responsible for your country for a control and possibly replacement keyboard

It s time for a professional look by laptop technician. Maybe the entire keyboard needs to be replaced. Who knows?
