Keyboard on NB100 problems

Do you know how to sort or update the firmware on the NB100 because I have problems with the keyboard.
According to this forum it is firmware questions?
Thank you and help would be greatly apreciated.

I have the same problems, but with the button pressed, and right Please HELP, would be that a hardware issue?, or a firmware issue? and I plug this laptop 10 months ago. Help, please.

  • Trackpad and keyboard Macbook Pro problem

    Hello

It's been a few months that I have a problem with my Macbook Pro, indeed the trackpad doesn't work at all and the well-tempered clavier from time to time (duty to restart).

MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, end of 2013)

OS X El Captain version 10.11.5

I saw that Apple had released a patch pour these problems: this update is recommended pour MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, end 2013) models. It solves a problem of non-response of the keyboard and the trackpad multi-touch integrated.

But I can't install the update because it is no longer supported...

    Do you have a solution?

    Many thanks,

    Kind regards

    Hi BryanBouws,

Can try you every night (20 of Firefox) and Aurora (19 Firefox) and report back here if things work out for you?

On every night and Aurora, we recently approached a number of keyboard related issues and both must have a number of bugs.

You can find every available at: http://nightly.mozilla.org with an Android download link at the bottom.

In addition, you can find Aurora for Android to: http://aurora.mozilla.org

Let us know if every night or Aurora solves your problems.

Edit: I would also try the suggestion of iamjayakumars above too.

  • Starting with Ubuntu Remix on Toshiba NB100 problems

Today, I tried to use the Update Manager to install several updates.

    During installation, the device froze.
Now start only takes me to the start page of Ubuntu with the logo and a progress bar is empty.

If I go to the Terminal, I have the following script
    BusyBox v1.1.3 (Debian 1:1.1.3 - 5 Ubuntu12) shell (ash) integrated
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.
    (initramfs)

I have no idea how to proceed. Is there a command that I can use for commissioning successfully or do I need to use the recovery CD?

    I'm a newbie to Linux.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I think that you should just grab the laptop because it's the easiest way to solve this problem starting Ubuntu.
Other workarounds would be too difficult and would take as long as a simple recovery.

Recovery if the NB100. The procedure should t take long.

    Check it out!

  • Satellite A110: keyboard, touchpad, power problems

I have a Toshiba Satellite A110, purchased a few months before. In recent weeks, it started randomly locking the keyboard and the touchpad (with or without external mouse plugged - although an external mouse still works).

Now there is power to the top of the issues, with the suspended system Bios Toshiba screen, can fully initialize maybe once in five.
Acquisition of wireless network is also very temperamental. I tried this software I can think (new drivers/virus scan/uninstall-reinstall), with the exception of a reinstall full backup disk Toshiba.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

I think we should first find out if the problem is software or hardware related.
In this case the installation of the operating system with the Toshiba Recovery CD is recommended.
After installation, the laptop should work without worries.

But if the unit will hang and not start properly there could be something wrong with the hardware.
I think that your warranty is valid and in this case you should always contact the ASP in your county for a check.

  • Collection NB100 problem

    Hi all

I am recovering a NB100 netbook for a friend. I ordered and received and Toshiba Recovery CD and it booted from a USB key. Netbook detects the drive, load the RAMdisk and then runs a script called startnet.cmd. I get the black window with the text:

    Waiting for ODD vacancies...
    STRANGE drive E: ready...
Look for support in the E: drive...

And then a cursor of rotation for eternity.

Someone at - it an entry on this (I've seen a similar post since last summer which had no response). Otherwise, anyone can shed light on obtaining the image of the CD on a USB stick to boot from that? I have problems with the boot sector stuff.

    Thank you, Ian

Ian, check please groups NB and recovery on this forum. I'm sure that someone started the thread on the same topic.

When one of these keys are pressed (z,?, Fn or the arrow keys), the cursor control mode light will light up and the keyboard no longer works. In addition, the context menu of the application randomly appears and disappears, and when I'm using a text editor, writes \z repeatedly. I tried to disconnect the internal keyboard and use an external, but I still have this problem. I also tried a complete reinstall with the recovery CD, but the problem persists. Any idea?

    Hello
If the problem persists after the installation of recovery is certainly the hardware problem. The strange is that problem with external keyboard too and I'm afraid that any replacement keyboard on the laptop will not solve this.

I recommend you contact the partner Service of your country, and they can check if the keyboard controller is defective. If you need address, you can find them under http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?pf=true

  • Equium A100-549: UK keyboard button game problem using OS language NL

    Hi all

I have a bit of a problem, I can not solve my self.
I have a toshiba Equium A100 549 and changed operating system from XP home to XP home NL UK.
I did format all HARD disks because of Mayor virus problems.

I reinstalled all the cd drivers Toshiba but stil some of the keys on the keyboard do not work good...
I noticed that some of the keys are on different locations like on a Dutch keyboard.

I woul want to set them like they belong on the way in which toshiba set them, with the same 3min.from on the keys...

What do I do? Thanks in advance,

    Michel Hoff,
    Holland

    > I reinstalled all the cd drivers Toshiba but stil some of the keys on the keyboard do not work good...
    > I noticed that some of the keys are on different locations like on a Dutch keyboard.

The point is that you have installed windows OS in the language of the Netherlands, but the laptop uses the UK keyboard layout.
Therefore, change to a different language keyboard layout if the keyboard is set to the language of the Netherlands, then you should change this to English UK!

Go to control panel-> regional and Language Options-> languages-> text services and input languages tab, click details

There you can add or change the language

  • Keyboard Satellite A300 problem

I saw a lot of problems of keyboard with the series 'A' here, but not like this. In the middle of a chat session my keyboard getting different letters as I type. Worse, even the key enter got transposed to a different key, the 'h' Hey. So now I can not connect to windows because all keys are flawed. I could enter the repair system that Vista comes with and set it to the American keyboard type. The same problem. I even tried to load Linux, but the problem starts when the computer does, so I can't yet start the restore CD

Please let know us if any of you have seen this before. I'm going to call Toshiba technical support shortly, but I wanted to see if anyone of you had seen this before. Thank you very much for your help.

    Hi mate

I think that the issue cannot be resolved using the recovery disk
For me it seems that this problem of keyboard would also happen outside the Windows OS, it means that this has nothing to do with the software, the keyboard driver, etc.

I think it's a hardware problem simple keyboard and I think you should ask the ASP in your country for replacement of s.

A300 should always be covered by the guarantee, so the laptop must be set free

    Good luck and good weekend.

  • Satellite L655D-12-keyboard and mouse problems

My apologies if this has developed before, but I found nothing during a search. I bought the L655 computer laptop (PSK1NE) in October with Windows 7 HP and all recently I noticed a problem more and more frequent with the mouse and keyboard that goes with the computer touchpad portable & k/b and one mouse USB k/b. The focus seems to jump around especially in IE9 when you try to type in the form. If you are not looking at the screen while typing it becomes annoying, because you look up to find that half of the sentence suddenly moved and is currently seized several lines far where you started among previous typescript. Sometimes, when you click on another window or program it seems to be inactive and no amount of click with the left button will generate any action, but by using the right button on the mouse or the Touchpad, this seems to correct the problem. Restart seems to help a bit but then the problem returns.

I have read similar problems in the United States where they have a V2 of the BIOS, even though I have the latest version of the BIOS update for Europe 1.6, it suggests that this is a problem and not unique to my laptop or adjustment. I tried to remove the battery, as he suggested, maybe that's a problem, but the problem persists.

Is there a solution for this?

    Thank you very much.
    Martin

    Hello

Your courier sporadically jumps somewhere else?
I think you want to disable the touchpad while typing!
I had a similar problem in the past, but I don't the opinion of t that I touched the surface of touchpad accidentally while typing
It is a reason why the cursor jumped on another line

  • Keyboard ThinkPad E430 problem

    Hello

I have a Thinkpad E430 (type 3254). It is around the age of 14 months. Yesterday, he randomly started having a problem with his keyboard. It acts like the Enter key is pressed continuously, and about 1 sec after clicking another button, it stops. The key entry by itself stopped work shorts and only sometimes and translates a continuous press.

As soon as I start, enter has entrance and start normal is interrupted. If I press a key it is normal again until an operating system load. By example, if I start debian, line breaks get inserted between the console enter messages that are displayed until I have a press and if I boot windows, it gets stuck on the login screen that is given without the password, so a loop is executed. This problem also sometimes randomly while working normally.

The keyboard has not yet seen use intense or any other drink spills. Usually, I keep the laptop at my desk and use an external keyboard. The last time I took it was 2 weeks ago.

All the world is facing this issue before? I doubt, it may be a software problem, so I need a new keyboard?

    Thanks for the help.

ook so that nobody knows or don't bother. Anyway, I solved it and I'll leave it here.

I called lenovo helpline, and they told me to remove the power supply and the battery and then keep the power button pressed for 2 x 30 seconds. It seems that the drainage load static on the motherboard. It helped but only for a few minutes. Last night, I drained the battery at 5% and the question is now gone. I recharged to 100%, and the system is normal.

I don't know what caused it, but it might have something to do with the power manager Lenovo, which I recently installed.

  • Keyboard Yoga 11 problems

I use the 11 Yoga (11 s not!) for three months now and there have been a few keyboard problems already before upgrading windows RT to 8.1. The portable physical keyboard in computer mode does not respond properly. Certain keys, in particular, a, s, d, k, l do not. I can hold the key for a long time, then suddenly a number of letters appear (as 'Pepe'). After a few updates, the issue seems to be resolved, particularly after the RT upgrade to 8.1, but then he started during a week or so, it does not seem to improve more. The physical keyboard is useless at the moment. I have tried many reboots, firmware and driver updates, nothing worked. Does anyone have any idea on this? Thank you very much!

    Hello

If you don't have a lot of documents, pictures etc on your hard drive, I suggest you to re - install the windows to check if this is the related issue of windows. If it is not an option, you can try to use windows restore.

If these don't work, could be material. I don't know if you can manage but removal/replacement of the keyboard connector can do the trick. for 'how' you can see the manual.

I type on the keyboard to USB, and everything is fine, but...

The keyboard on the laptop is bahaivng vary strange. When you type any letter '6' is added to it.

Now type the above on USB keyb:

As you can see that it adds a lot of 6 around all the letters.

Any idea what is the problem? He nothing wet porred on the computer. It was working fine yesterday.

I tried to remove the battery for a few hours - did not help.

What is certainly the hardware problems? I hate giving my stuff to the guarantee, but if this is the case...

I'm a little disappointed with this fact.

    Thanks for the tips!

    Erestes

You can replace your keyboard by yourself, but it voids your warranty. I don't suggest this option. (your motherboard or the connectors have will give, so even if you replace your keyboard by yourself, it can not solve your problem) ship your laptop to lenovo. for your problem of hard drive, you can burn DVDs for your personal files or copy them to the external hard drive.
