  I have a PC laptop toshiba Satellite A500-025 and I had a bit of water splashed on keyboard and some keys are no longer works. I was going to replace the keyboard. Mine was purchased in the Canada and has a bilingual English/french keyboard.

  I was wondering if I can order a keyboard only English bilinguals are harder to find.
  Also if anyone can suggest a site to the order of which is reasonably priced.

  Less expensive keyboard, you can find it on eBay. I ordered two English keyboards for Satellite P300 and L300.
  I paid 15 euros for a keyboard. It is not expensive.

  I accidentally spilled a drink on my keyboard of my Toshiba Satellite A500-1GL.
  I turned off the laptop immediately and it dried out.
  It is currently left until I have an answer.

  You should turn the unit upside down and have to wait as the dry reel.
  In the best of cases that the unit should turns correctly but it could be possible that your motherboard or another party as a RAM module or keyboard could be affected.

  Something similar happened to my girlfriend s book. In my case the RAM module was dead and laptop could no longer starts up I have replaced the RAM and was happy to see the Toshiba homepage

• Some keys on the keyboard for Satellite A500-025 are strange

  My Toshiba Satellite A500-025 has a keyboard with strange symbols on it. The back key on the right side of the keyboard is also a vertical rectangular key with 2 keys between the key containing the semicolon and the return key which is too far.

  On other Toshiba keyboards I've seen in stores, the return key is a horizontal rectangular key with that one key between the semicolon and the return key. Anyone know why I have this strange configuration on my keyboard?

  To be honest I don't know on which keys you mean exactly, but I think you should consult your dealer and ask what it can be.
  If you want to discuss about it here please make the photo of your keyboard and mark them with red circle, what do you mean exactly.

  I don't know what other Toshiba keyboards you mean but fact is that the Satellite A500 is Toshiba the first laptop with screen 16 delivered with larger keyboard, including the numeric keypad.

  Anyone of you, wonderful people you will suggest somewhere where I can get a keyboard replacement at reasonable price for my M30-106. So far, cheapest I can find is about A £58. Perhaps there is a yard of circuit breakers for these things?

  Don t you have lots of options, since you can choose between:

  -Internet retailer
  -Ebay

  I would suggest to check first what price the AEP has, then Ebay and then you bite into the sour Apple. :)

  I really don't think you can buy replacement keys. I found very interesting comment to this in another forum:

  + It could be interesting to contact Toshiba service people to see if you can get a suitable scrap keyboard which was changed because of some other problem. However, I expect that they would prefer to sell you a new full keyboard. We live in a climate of 'throw' not 'fix '. +

  I agree with his opinion.

  One last thing: check eBay. Perhaps yiou can find keyboard used for little money.

  Newbie here, just want to ask, are there at - there a driver/software for laptop Toshiba A500/02J disc.
  I just bought a new and its been not formatted, so no recovery partition where drivers would be.

  I searched the net looking for face recognization software, etc., but nothing works.
  There must be a drive to install there somewhere...

  The laptop has not been handed over with the recovery disk because there is a pre-installed tool called Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.
  This software could create the recovery disk that allows the laptop to factory settings still.

• 3G modem internal with slot for Satellite A500-12W SIM?

  I join this forumn in great frustration because I spent hours online looking for an answer.

  I run a Satellite A500-12W with a USB 3G modem, but I do not have this fragile thing that comes out of the computer and occupying one of the only 3 USB ports. Under the battery, there is a slot that says SIM, but it seems to be empty, because it cannot contain a SIM in place.

  I don't have a 3g internal modem, I have WIFI capabilities.
  Surely, it must be possible to buy a card that goes inside and works the same way as a USB modem?

  There is an empty slot next locations of memory which says 3 G/TV and something else, is that place and in that case, what should I buy?

  I am eternally grateful for any help, it frustrates me a lot. Thanks in advance.

  Satellite A500-12W does not support the 3G modem and was not equipped with an ability to use the sim card in order to connect to the internet.

  The point is that there are different A500 in the market with different hardware configurations.
  Perhaps the same notebook chassis has been used and, therefore, you can see this place to a sim card.

  However, I'm not sure if you will be able to update this device with a mini-PCI 3 G map... If something like that would be possible, so you can order this part of premises Toshiba ASP...

  If you check this forum and similar questions you will always find the same answer: Win7 is not officially on the market and know Toshiba didn't support Win7.
  Toshiba US page you can find and download drivers BETA only for assistance.

  * Do you know some reliable online stores where I can buy a fan for Satellite A300 *-model 1MS? *
  Where do you buy most of the parts for your used laptops?

  Here are two stores I found, but I have no idea if they are trustworthy or not.

  I've seen a lot of sites that say A300 but the case is silver metal and the original is black plastic.
  The plastic or metal is not a big problem I'm worry about a problem of fitting.

  You can order each part of the Toshiba laptop computer of authorized service provider available in your country. The ASP should be able to provide this part even if the laptop belongs to an old series laptop.

  In my view, that reference is P000343860, even if it is for a keyboard to UK specification and will be different for other countries.

• Keyboard, keeping for Satellite M30X clip

  Anyone know where I can get a replacement retaining clip for a laptop keyboard? Its a small band of white plastic that fits into the connector of the keyboard ribbon cable to keep in place. It has two legs tiny ends which locate in the connector to secure it but one of my friends broke (due to having to have the socket repaired several times - it's a design on the M30X error).

  Also, I tried I said I want to buy a motherboard full, because the clip is not available separately, but that seems a little stupid - the part cost probably less than a can of coke on his own and I assumed it would be something that is easily damaged or lost if repairs are carried out.
