• Windows 7... the stuff that makes me NUTS! (so far).

  (1) quick launch icons taskbar: I have always found it much faster to just a shortcut for the most often used programs right on the taskbar. But now, when I do it, like Excel, IE, etc., whenever I click a quick launch icon, the icons move, and I can't click on it again to open another instance. Sometimes I prefer the 2 browsers used, but that the taskbar converts the quick launch icon to a real window, I can't do it this way... very frustrating!

  (3) why Excel & PowerPoint randomly become temporary files while I use them. For example, I'm working on an Excel doc, doc is already named and saved, I am struck record every 5-10 minutes and then when I hit save one of those moments, I get some kind of message of sharing violation, and the document tries to save as a sort of random temporary file. I then have to name the doc again and save it to that I meant to make him... arghhhh!

  Hello, I contacted Dell a couple of times and everything they have done has tried to update my drivers that did not work, or they had me use a wired keyboard that still had the problem.

  When typing my keyboard makes a break, don't type, types the same character repeatedly, takes up to 30 seconds between the characters to be able to type a different and at other times, there is zero problem.  This can happen several times a day.  It happens with IE, Firefox, type in word, try to access a Web site.  Its very frustrating.

  I use Windows 7 with a wireless keyboard.  If anyone has any ideas on how to solve this problem, I would appreciate it!

  Read / unread is purely an indicator. It has no real meaning. If you go into the menu (alt + T) tools > options > advanced > reading and display, you can change when a mail is marked as read in immediately to 10 seconds (this is what outlook express used) up to 1000 seconds.

  "OSD" is probably "On Screen Display" and is set up by your monitor itself, not your computer.  To get rid of, you can use the menu buttons and controls on your monitor.
