  I just bought a brand new version of Keynote and have a few questions:

  1. Are there videos tutorials anywhere?  I do not see tutorials, and 'What's new in Keynote' is just a list with no ability to see what are the details.
  2. Where the images are stored?  I looked in support of the request in the ~ library and Keynote is not yet listed here as an application.  It is not in iWork.
  3. What are the dimensions in pixels for a 3.4 typical background?  If I create new ones, would like to know what size Keynote like.
  4. Want to change existing theme origins, change color, etc., but can not find them.

  Apple is no longer provide tutorials for Keynote

  The user manual is located in Keynote: help > Keynote help

  There are tutorials of third party at a price, Google and see what happens, Iv, never needed to use them.

  • If you mean the project files, they are backed up to where you want to save using the Finder window in file > save
  • All applications must reside in the Applications folder
  • If you mean that the objects used in the themes, see below on creating new themes.

  Keynote like what ever say you. Create the pixel dimensions to match the end-use. for example, the iPad mini it is 1024 x 768, for display of the retina of 21.5 inch 4K its 4096 x 2304

  Want to change existing theme origins, change color, etc., but can not find them.

  1 - go to Inspector > Document > paper then click on change the theme

  2 - view > Master slides.   click on the slide, you want to use and then right click on the mask and select duplicate, duplicate all the masters that you want to use, and then delete all the original Master Slides leaving only those duplicated

  3. change the slide master a copy to your new design

  4 file > save the theme, select Add to the selector, and then rename the theme

• Quick question - Message of Introduction of the App

• With the help of iTunes audio in Keynote

  I try to use music files, I regularly bought from the iTunes Store in my Keynote presentations. But many of them (not all, strangely) I get a message saying hat the media file "xxx" is protected against copying and I'm not allowed to use it.

  I used to import files from my iTunes library (including the files purchased from the iTunes Store) with previous versions of Keynote, without encountering any problems. Now, with 6.6.2, I have this problem, and in all my presentations created with previous versions of the audio files are not found.

  Please advise: I'm a musicologist and teacher, and it is frustrating to buy audio files specifically include them in my lectures and teachings and not to use them.

• Keynote Transitions help please

  Note: this presentation is a presentation "links only", use "magic" page transitions

  Hi everyone, this question has been annoys me all the day im hoping someone can help me.

  I am building a presentation that includes a timeline - I have attached a reference image.

  Sequence:

  1. Timeline page (each box is a link to a new slide)
  2. Click on the blue box (24 months)
  3. The triangle arrow blades to stop in the middle of the box and text turns "BOLD" (using magical movement). Once this transition is complete, the blue box below the timeline is based (slides from the left).
  4. (bit of problem) 24 months blue box slide when I click on the green box (12 months), the blue box is not build (its supposed to slide to the right) he just disappears, and then the arrow moves the green box and sets the text to bold.

  Why does not the blue box build out until the arrow moves to the green box. If I turn the presentation in "normal" as opposed to "links only" it relies on--but this would frustrate the object.

  PS: if I paste the blue box in the next slide and change the color to green - when I click the button 12 months she mixes from blue to green which is ok, BUT id prefer to have the box slide in and out.

  I want kind of a transition of cubic object between the slides without moving the contents of the timeline. SO I want the triangle to come alive on normally and the text to transform "BOLD" BUT I also want the content below the timeline to fly in and out as if its independent.

• A hyperlink to another Keynote

  With the help of 7.0 KN, I can't find no way to bind a KN presentation to another (both on my Mac), what I had done with older versions of KN. Can someone tell me how, or this feature has been removed? I am generally pretty well versed in KN and use often, but did not bind this way for a while. I know there is a work around (copy in the other), but the link would be better.

  This feature has been removed in versions 6 and 7 of Keynote.

  Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It seems that you want to update the Keynote, but you are not able to.  Looks like you already have a troubleshooting.
  There are a few things that we can try to get the app updated.  I recommend you read these articles, which may be able to help solve the problem.

  First of all, you can sign out and in the Mac App Store and try to update Keynote again.

  Hello, try to reset your iPhone by pressing now the sleep/wake and home buttons. It can help.

• People with disabilities multitasking gestures / Keynote

  I disabled multitasking gestures on my ipad pro, but 4-5 finger pinching gesture is always enabled when I'm in an opening statement. If I don't want the bosses to leave the presentation, I use the ipad as an interactive kiosk. When the gesture is applied, the presentation ends and returns to Keynote slide editor screen.
  Thoughts? (Note: there are various buttons on multiple slides, so using the guided access function does not really help for this application)

  It is not possible to Keynote on an iPad.

  I need to export a keynote presentation in quicktime that can be presented with clicks instead of itself as a video. I remember in keynote 09. I see now when I export the self cheek option already clicked in the export options window and nothing else. I need to share my presentation with a team that uses windows. My presenetaioton has a lot of entertainment and that's why I need them to click and experience. I don't want to use the HTML option.

  I need to export a keynote presentation in quicktime that can be presented with clicks instead of itself as a video.

  Series of version 6 of speech cannot create a QuickTime with manual advance.

  Keynote version 5.3 is still able to do it when installed in El Capitan, if you still have access to it on your Mac.

  

  My presentation has a lot of entertainment and that's why I need them to click and experience. I don't want to use the HTML option.

  You can export to PowerPoint, if your clients have PowerPoint or PowerPoint player installed on windows machines there.

• can't link in iCloud-keynote

  Using Keynote in iCloud, after I select text and then Ctrl-click (or right-click) there is a pop-up window with 5 options (delete, select all, cut, copy, paste), but no option to "link".  And I can't find 'Make link' in the Text-Format on the right side pane.  What I am doing wrong?  Craig

• Accidents of Keynote

  Speech 6.6.x hangs at startup and, apparently, because it tries to open the file that has been opened the last time that I used it.

  My questions are:

  • Some recommendations on this site suggest 'trash' of the Preferences/com.apple.iwork.keynote... I did, yet the crash continues. How to start Keynote without open this last file - I don't know which file I had open the last time I used Keynote.
  • Another recommendation is to download a new version of Keynote, but the only option shown in the App Store is open and not download, so it'll open the same version installed, which fails. Deleting the file in the folder of the application is not do it either.

  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  You should use version 6.6.2 Keynote because it is more stable and reliable version until now.

  I suggest the following steps to try to fix the problems you are having

  To reset the Keynote, you must use a removal tool to request for this procedure to work

  and you have to perform all the steps in the order listed

  1. uninstall the Keynote
  2. empty the trash
  3. Shut Down the Mac (Apple menu > turn off)
  4. Wait 10 seconds, then press the power button
  5. as soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key
  6. release the SHIFT key when you see the gray Apple screen, start-up will take a few minutes longer than usual as the Mac performs a software repair
  7. After the repair and the Mac is completely started, restart the Mac normally (Apple > restart)
  8. install Keynote from the Mac App Store

  My keynote file is 20 slides for a long time and when I export to PDF (good) 3 of 20 slides contain errors.

  • Now black is white
  • lacks 2.3 areas of text per page

  Thanks for checking out the Apple Support and communities for details on what is happening. I understand that you run error when you try to export your Keynote presentation. I can certainly go on some info to help you get that job.

  Given that you have problems with a few slides, I recommend trying to re-create these slides only in a new document. Then try to export this document to see if you experience the same errors. This will help determine if there is a problem with the document you are editing or these special slides. If it happens with only specific slides, you may need to remove the original document and then recreate them again. You can also try to export a document to different test that does not include these slides, just to make sure that it normally exports.

• Any way to put in shape text to be developed and reduced, as it is in Help Pages

  Clicking on a triangle "pointing to the right" is a universal way to enlarge the text and clicking a triangle "to the drop-point" is a universal way to shorten the text. ... And slides in Keynote. So we can format text in Pages to be developed and reduced in a similar way? I do not speak of wishing to return the feature overview pages (yet)... But it is also useful and intuitive format that is used for Pages, Numbers, and HELP of Keynote topics - I'd be surprised if we users cannot set up by our own writing, but I have not found a way to do it again. Ideas, people? In advance, thank you for reading this...

  Pages does not have what are the Web pages help system.

  Pages ' 09 has plan mode that allows to collapse and expand paragraphs, but that was removed as well as more than 100 other features in Pages 5 , which is probably what you talk, but did not.
