• Slow keynote: adjust the Image

  When you edit images in Keynote, using Image settings, performance is extremely slow.

  Selection of an image, the extreme slowness and delay occurs when you adjust any of the following sliders in Image settings:

  Saturation.

  The shadows.

  Temperature.

  Hue.

  This isn't normal behavior for Keynote, none of our Macs show this through all Mac models.

  Try the following two procedures:

  1 reset the Keynote

  Perform all the steps in the order listed

  Keynote, you must use a request to work procedure removal tool uninstall

  • uninstall the Keynote
  • empty the trash
  • Shut Down the Mac (Apple menu > turn off)
  • Wait 10 seconds, then press the power button
  • as soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key
  • release the SHIFT key when you see the gray Apple screen, start-up will take a few minutes longer than usual as the Mac performs a software repair
  • After the repair and the Mac is completely started, restart the Mac normally (Apple > restart)
  • install Keynote from the Mac App Store

  2. download, install and run Etrecheck, and then copy and paste the results into a response to this discussion.

• A hyperlink to another Keynote

  With the help of 7.0 KN, I can't find no way to bind a KN presentation to another (both on my Mac), what I had done with older versions of KN. Can someone tell me how, or this feature has been removed? I am generally pretty well versed in KN and use often, but did not bind this way for a while. I know there is a work around (copy in the other), but the link would be better.

  This feature has been removed in versions 6 and 7 of Keynote.

  I tried to set up a mail rule, but mail only allows me to reply to the sender. It gives me the opportunity to call a script but I can't make an Apple script in Automator. Whatever I do in here, Mail can not see it.

  I managed to write send an Automator application which opens the message in Mail for me when I double click on it and then I just need to hit, but the whole point is that I want not automated. If I get an email from [email protected] then I want to admin@mydomain to receive an e-mail to tell him that he is loved by someone and I want all this to happen automatically.

  So basically what I need is an Apple Script which includes a static message and sends it to a static address, so I can tell Mail to use as the action when he receives an e-mail. Unfortunately, as far as I know about AppleScript is 'say Mail' and 'end tell '...

  You can watch it too deeply. You won't answer at all – looks like you want to open a new message coming out when a new coming. It is not serious what who is, or who he came (with the exception of yourself).

  It is written as a mail rule, so add it to your ~/Library/Application Scripts/com.apple.mail directory, and then configuration a rule in Mail.app to run this script for incoming mail.

  You implement audit "not post me" in the rules dialog box (for example only call the script when the sender is not yourself).

  I use Keynote to constitute a group of slides synchronized to a soundtrack that plays on the group.  The time for each slide is not exactly the same thing.  In Keynote 6.6 and previous versions, I joined the soundtrack, then folder mode advanced blades as needed.  To do this I need to hear the soundtrack when recording (mike is off) the time to advance each slide.  It worked well until Keynote 7 I have discover that the soundtrack is disabled in record mode.  It's actually record, but I can not hear in record mode (only when the recorded session is read).  It's silly that I need to hear the soundtrack to know when to move to the slide.

  It doesn't seem to be a matter of Keynote7, because when I removed 7 Keynote and replaced with Keynote 6.6 everything worked as I expected.  In other words, I could hear the soundtrack in record mode.

  I have macOS Sierra and use a MacPro (end 2013) or MacBook.

  Has anyone found if it is possible to hear the soundtrack in record mode in Keynote 7 (with microphone mute or, indeed, using the microphone on the soundtrack).  If yes have you had to adjust anything in the 7 Keynote circles to hear the soundtrack in record mode?

  There are a number of things, is not the case in Keynote 7 that were available in previous versions.

  Its never a good idea to use an application in a version of point zero (e.g. 7.0) for production activities, use it to test only. Keynote version 6.6.2 works as expected in the Sierra, so that install from a backup file.

  Thanks for your question.  The Keynote version which is available on the Mac App Store is related to some version of Mac OS you have.  When you decide to update to OS X 10.10.5 for a newer version (macOS Sierra is the current version), then you will see the updates available for programs like Keynote automatically appear in your updates tab in the Mac App Store.

• 7 do not open some Keynote keynote files

  Since the update of the keynote 7.0 (macOS 10.12 Sierra) about a third of my keynote files that worked with the Keynote prior version 5.3 and macOS 10.11.6 El Capitan) refuse to open. I get the suggestion to find a previous version of the file and try to open that one, but who doesn't either. Some files open with reliability and some files sometimes open some files never open. The problem is also present on another MacBook, I tested.

  I hasten to add as the Special Keynote files that cannot be opened with keynote 7.0 on macOS 10.12 (Sierra) will not open with Keynote 5.3, either. They were last used and modified under Keynote 5.3 under macOS 10.11.6 (El Capitan) without problem. I was not able to verify these Keynote on Mac turns files always under macOS 10.11.6 (El Capitan), yet, but I have to assume that it is a macOS 10.12 (Sierra) problem.

  Hi, I have a macair more an iMac two Sierra now running; Keynote 7 installed on the macair without any problem, but not as much luck with the iMac.  Watch App Store that all other updates were successful except Keynote that shows 'pending ';  After a few hours of nothing I turned off the machine; more later tried App Store again and Keynote was marked 'paused ';  has was asked for what ID password, then the message read "waiting." This has been repeated over the last two days and still the same.

  Appreciate any feedback.

  Had the same problem, try installing the update of the Pages.  It was stuck on "waiting" for centuries and does not seem if install no matter what I tried.  Finally, I just deleted the Pages, completely and installed fresh from the App Store.  Who, finally, worked.

• Mac crashes when you bind iOS Keynote remote control to Keynote for Mac

  I'm having a problem with Keynote for Mac.  When I try to connect the Keynote remote iOS, Mac freezes for a few seconds and then this black screen feeling that says "your Mac was stopped due to a problem... "I tried 10 times and have had success with it once.  I don't know what I did different that around the time, but now it does nothing.

  Here are some details of version / unit for assistance:

  I tried using an iPhone 6 (MKQ52LL/A) with iOS 9.3. ? connect to a MacBook Pro 15 2013 (MacBookPro11, 2) with MacOS 10.11.

  I tried again to the same devices running the latest OS, iOS 10.0.1 and MacOS 10.12.

  Keynote iOS version: 3.0 (4025) - Latest

  Mac Keynote version: 7.0 (3507) - Latest

  Try to remove the Keynote of the Mac, empty the trash, and then install from the Mac App Store.

  Thank you for using communities of Apple Support. It seems that you want to update the Keynote, but you are not able to.  Looks like you already have a troubleshooting.
  There are a few things that we can try to get the app updated.  I recommend you read these articles, which may be able to help solve the problem.

  First of all, you can sign out and in the Mac App Store and try to update Keynote again.

• How can I transfer my new version of Keynote from my laptop to my iMac?

  Because I bought Keynote when I got a new MacBook Pro, I now have a newer version of the software (v 5.3) on my laptop that I do on my iMac, which has the version 3.02.  It is perhaps a really basic question, but how do I transfer this new version of Keynote on my iMac?  Thank you!

  Keynote 3 version only worked on non-intel Macs and the latest version of Mac OS, it is compatible is Tiger.

  That's why you need an Intel Mac under Snow Leopard or newer version running version 5.3

  You will need to run the Setup file of iWork 09, (it installs Keynote, Pages and numbers and all support files), there are problems when you copy simply on Keynote on its own rather than install correctly.

  It will ask you a serial number for verification.

• Transparent BG involved Keynote

  When I have the BG in Keynote, assign the value 0% fill of a color some transitions are acting strangely. (I do this for export sequences from Keynote to QT with a transparent BG). Specifically, during a 'dissolution' images of the next slide just appear without any fading in, yet the images of the current slide fade off the coast. Past magic, when exported, do not have the BG as transparent at all until the transition is complete and the BG is so transparent.

  I know this might be an esoteric use of the Keynote, but anyone who has ever run into this issue?

  To achieve a transition between two slides with a transparent background requires a technique called luminance combining, Keynote does not use these effects.

  The work around is to add images parading on slide 2 slide 1, remove slide 2, and then adds a build to dissolve images now in slide 1.
