  No, it doesn't have special key or combination of keys that could activate the buttons mentioned.
  This looks like a malfunction of the keyboard for me.

  Just a question; You can use all those buttons by using an external USB keyboard?
  Would be interesting to know if this is possible

  as you can see here, it is available for y460 (may not be suitable for y460p) but it is not official and if you treat the operation, your motherboard may be dead and because it is not official patch, the warranty covers the damage.

  and I don't think that lenovo will release an official patch to swap keys.

  The problem has been fixed (I think) but in a most unusual way. Let me explain.

  When I was closing down to give the computer a rest yesterday, there was a pop up saying that vprotector expected to close. He really wanted the process of closing until I clicked on finish the process. Curious to know what vprotector is, I searched on the net and got a lot of shots, saying: it is a virus and should be deleted pronto. So I searched the hard drive for the vprot. * and found in the folder program files for AVG!

  I then went to AVG to see if it's really a part of AVG and they said yes. If there is a problem with vprot, the toolbar is at fault and needs to be reinstalled. There was one click here to download and run the part of the program to fix the problem. However, I had WebRoot antivirus running that stopped the download of this program as a virus. Because I trust AVG, I've disabled WebRoot and reinstalled the AVG search bar.

  I haven't restarted WebRoot and computer flying along as it should, and OE is the link to IE when I click on a link as it has always done.

  Seems to me to be the faulty AVG toolbar and a cross with two virus programs upward was at fault. Thank you for your time. Your reply gave me a chance to think differently this problem could arise.

  Computers are really complicated machines and we have to be complicated to deal with their problems.

So I can't use ctrl + c ctrl + v (or others) on any of my programs (such as Word or Firefox). I can either use ctr + alt + delete. And right-click on the keyboard button (which is the same as the right click on the mouse button) is not responding or the other.

  I have already tried various things such as:

  1. pressing the combination alt + ctrl + fn
  2. "unplugging" the usb adapter (and even that I am not too sure of doing things)
  3. uninstall the keyboard driver and reboot
  4. restore the computer to factory settings

  Help, please?

  Have you tried a new keyboard?  Connect an external keyboard if it works that indicate your laptop keyboard is broken and requires replacement.  Also just FYI - this is a support forum for Windows 7; not that it is important in this case, but if you have a question related to Windows, find and use the correct forum might be essential to get the advice you need for your operating system.

  Things to try / consider:

  • Press alt + ctrl + fn all at the same time to reset (fn is the function key)
  • Make sure that your keyboard has not been defined in English in the United States to any form of multilingual.  Check the settings of: Control Panel > display icon > accessibility > make the keyboard easier to use > (down at the bottom) > keyboard settings
  • If this is an external keyboard, disconnect and reconnect - remove any dongle, batteries, reinstall all software.
