• Add keywords/location/description to a file without Photos app?

  Idea is I add all this information in a file, so that later it will be easy for me to find the exact file I want. Problem, is if I am doing this in pictures, I can't browse the files using the finder (that I intend to do), or, if I export images updated the they gain weight that is not related to what the new info. The file size isn't really a problem, there is the ' is not exactly the same that I imported before "makes me mad.

  So, I'm looking for ways to add any additional information that may add Photos, without actually using this application. If there is no third party option don't mind using terminal or any other manual method to change the info.

  However, who would not "embed" tags in the file. The only way to do this would be to modify the EXIF data, but I'm not sure that there is the "Keyword" field in the EXIF data. It would be too simple search EXIF data.

  Photos (iPhoto and) do not change the original files. They create a copy and allow you to modify this copy so that Moose remains intact. If you wish, you can 'Export the Unmodified Original'.

  The editing pane's will return to Original button.

  If you want to delete the original image, after changes, you would have to duplicate an image, then delete the 'original '.

• Problem keyword smart photo album

  I use photos for Mac v1.5.  I create two smart albums for a publication process;  "staging" & "published".   Photos have other criteria keywords, but use is "staged" & "published" to indicate their stage of the process.  I review publish items in staging SA, then add the word "published" key and remove the keyword "staged." 8 of the 10 times it works fine.

  Always, however, this procedure fails and the photo ends up in the two smart albums even if 'staged' keyword is no longer attached.  I tried to remove all tags and Photos is restarted.  Also, if I search on the keyword 'intermediate' photos of problem will NOT appear.

  It's a small but annoying problem. Assumptions about how to correct?

• Bookmarks missing keyword content.

  If two bookmarks has same keyword if one of them is missing, so my keyword lost because not like that before.
  The column keyword on library is missing too.

  The keyword column is no longer supported in the Manager of bookmarks (library), so you cannot activate this column.

• Why the keyword "google" is not accepted?

  I use keywords in search bar url bookmarks. Now the key word 'google' for my missing suddenly google search and if I reintroduce, it is not stored with the bookmark. Different bookmarks are accepted, but not "google".
  What can I do (except using a different key word)?

  Well, somehow, the problem just disappeared after a while. The keyword "google" works perfectly again.

• How to use smart keywords in Firefox 34?

  Where smart keywords in v34? I mean be able to assign keywords to a particular search from the address bar. For example I have "I" set to search Bing Images, "imdb" IMDB search value, etc.. I got different search engines set up, managed to change their key words and rearrange them in the list and could add additional search engines to Mycroft Project. I liked the way that worked.

  Now my smart keywords still work, but I see no way to edit or add new ones of Mycroft. I can't get even what are my keywords when I forget them periodically.

  Is it possible for me to always control my smart keywords (and ideally continue to use Mycroft search engines)? I am aware of the 'Change search settings' options, but they do not seem to have much power, that I used to have.

  This seems to be is not possible in the Find tab in Options/preferences.

• The photo with searchable keywords tagging?

  Why is there no way to tag with keywords searchable photos? I have 37 000 + photos and none of them does not when I'm looking for them.

  I use various applications and sometimes I know I have the perfect picture to post/share/reference in mind and cannot, for the life of me, find it. In addition, some applications will choke when dealing with my scroll so many photos.

  "Faces" is fine, but I cannot find the "perfect willow tree' or"1949 Mercury hotrod"photo, that I took years.

  Please Apple - add a function for 'tag' my own pictures in my photo album so that I can search and find relevant pictures.

  Why nobody has thought of this? I will gladly accept a fee of 1 cent for each used tag and we'll call it square.

• Keyword not valid non-atome

  I use TB 24.7.0.
  Something weird is happening today with tuberculosis.
  I have some configuration of filters to assign specific tags for the incoming mails. Everything was fine until today.
  What is more strange is that I didn't tamper with all filters, options or anything today or recently.
  I guess that is not yet what triggers, but certainly when a new message arrives, or when I just browse even though records emails, tags are suddenly deleted, and all e-mails have 0 tags.
  The same behavior is also in safe mode.

  I tried to compact the Inbox folder, and I got an error like this:
  The current operation on "Inbox" has failed. The e-mail server for the account [email protected] responded: invalid non-atome 'blablabla' keyword (this is one of the tags that I use)
  I understand there's a problem with Gmail, but the tags are stored on Gmail? I have although they where to store locally.

  If someone has an idea why this phenomenon happens, or have any trouble, let me know.

  Seems that Gmail does not like my tag IDs. I got something like:
  "[category] _tagname ' and the characters '[' and '] ' are not valid.
  I used 3 years like that, I do not understand why now are suddenly invalid.
  In any case, I created them again with only alphanumeric characters (just rename does not work) and change my filtering with the new tags. Now works correctly.
  Of course, all of my old emails is remained tagged with the old tags. Well, a minor inconvenience, I'm just glad works.

  It is currently possible to search using keyword bookmarks in Firefox mobile? I mean the bookmarks that link to a URL with a '%s' in what is replaced by your search...

  For example, I may have a bookmark pointing to "http://stackoverflow.com/search?q=%s" with the set of keywords of "so"... So on desktop Firefox, I can get Stack Overflow by typing in ' question about the programming if some ' in the Awesome bar and pressing [Enter].

  But as far as I know, they are unusable in Firefox mobile. Y at - it an option that I'm missing?

  If you use Firefox Sync , you can synchronize the bookmarks with search by keyword for Firefox for Android and they work as expected.

• Can I recover the missing keywords in Aperture before update?

  My keywords are missing from the metadata for almost all my images in my 30 + K library. I think this may have happened after the update to A3 from A2 some time back (and also updated to Maverick right here.) My library was inactive for a while and I now return, eager to use old pictures and also begin to add new ones. I have discovered the problem with the key words missing until recently, when looking for the latest images by keywords. Only keywords that appear in the metadata are the ones on the pictures that have been added after the update. The keyword lists are all there and I tried to add a new keyword to an image and that works. The other metadata for these old images still appear (legends, copyright, city, etc.). But the key word is now empty!

  I need to update my OS of 10.9.5 in El Capitan (if necessary!) and I was concerned the opening and to make this gesture. I know I have to upgrade to A3.6, but I was advised to treat all questions before making that move and update. Any suggestions?

  Remember all missing keywords?  If the keywords are always applied to your transferred images, but perhaps at a different metadata tag that Aperture is now using, you should be able to find them by a text search rather than look for keywords.  Test with a new smart album and use a rule 'text includes... '. "with one of your missing keywords.  Make sure the scope of the search is implemented in the library and not an album.

  A rule of "Text includes" will find all text asociated with versions of your image.

  

  I wouldn't drag my feet of Aperture 3.6 update. Opening is no longer sold at all since the AppStore, so it is difficult to predict how long the Aperture 3.6 update will remain available. You can only be updated by reinstalling the opening, and only if you have a version of the AppStore of Aperture.

  When I got iPhotos / before I upgraded to El Capitan, voluntarily I named a couple of albums with the same word so I can see them all together in the search for this word.  Now, when I do a search, a list of all albums showing on the right.  The photos are not displayed.  Is it possible to view the photos instead of just the titles of the album?  Thank you.

  You can click on the albums in the list to open them one by one. But research will not display the photos in the album. You will need to add the keyword to the individual photos in the album to show the photos in the list.

• Keyword is empty missing?

  In iPhoto, there was a handy feature to capture images lack keywords by creating a Smart Album with the filter "keyword is empty." This would allow me to find the images are not grouped correctly. I don't find it in the Photos. To achieve the same thing, I have to add about 30 filters. It's really annoying. Is there a way to get around this? Am I missing something? If missing, why?   You can search for photos without using an Apple Script keywords and collect these pictures in a standard album, if you can write Apple Script.

  Solution:
  (1) view all bookmarks
  (2) starting bookmarks search by ' search... site...» "(Where site is completed with your target site that you have assigned a KW)
  3) click Bookmark, and then click on the button "more" at the bottom.

  "You will see a new field called:" keyword: "it's the smart keyword" you assigned. If you take the default ' file: ' when you first assigned the keyword Smart, you will probably find your smart keywords in the file "Bookmarks Menu".
