  I put t know if it s a monitor problem or not, but you should test an external monitor to your laptop computer. In order to check if it s associated with internal monitor or not.

  Test by creating a new document in CMYK color mode. Creation of a few boxes with a different amount of k. as 32% 50% 75%. Save as PDF with default preset (default Illustrator) and once again with the high quality print preset. Open the pdf in Acrobat files, go to advanced > print > overview of the release and place the cursor on the gray boxes, color values read the same thing in Illustrator - no conversion has been applied.

  Recently, in the last few weeks, whenever I have my work using 100% of black color CMYK (100, 100, 100, 100), the Illustrator settings change finally black (75,02, 67,97, 67.02, 90,16) all on its own.  Can someone help me understand why does Illustrator?  It's time to use having to constantly change all my artwork in black 100% whenever I'm going to save or print.  Each registered 100% black file is converted to this black lower setting when I reopen it the file and often even while I work on the open file.

  Because the document is in RGB color mode. File > Document color mode > CMYK

  and by the way, when you work in an RGB color space and using the CMYK sliders, you choose a black color as C = 100 M = 100 Y = 100 K = 100, color management converts black Black maximum possible with such ink coverage limit as specified in the printer's CMYK color profile.   The most important thing is the paper you choose to print on.  Find this first release. Any Epson printer which uses UltraChrome K3 inks will do a better job with B & W as a Pro-(anything).  But Epson suffers from obstruction more far do, Canon Pro-100 problems.

  If you print a lot is not too big of a problem, but if you print once a week or once a month to forget it.  Go with Canon that clogged very rarely, if ever.

  Try to find the right paper.  It will make everything better.  Call the Red River or Canson and ask them to recommend a book.  Red River will work with you and they know the Pro - 100 inside and outside.

  Hello! so, I'm having a frustrating problem. I prepare an image for an offset litho printer 4 colors, and the image must be in CMYK mode. I have two layers in the image: the bottom layer is all the colors, and the top layer is a black line drawing. I have all the drawings to the black line on the top layer converted successfully in 100 %K black for the printer, they need. I did this by selecting all the black lines with the magic wand tool, then Edition-> fill and fill with 100 %K, 0% magenta cyan at 0% 0% 100% yellow k. This worked very well.   Do what is obvious: build your design in the center of a sheet of A4 with marks crop at the corners so that you know where to cut.

  "Hairline" is not a dimension so don't use it. It depends on the resolution of your printer. Specify 0.25pt rule or test for what is achievable on your printer.

  Also, be sure to use 100% black if you want a solid line, your color is probably a combination of RGB or CMYK coming out as a reason for blurred or nonexistent halftone on something too narrow to reproduce.
