  I got my hard drive replaced by HP on May 25, 2015 as the laptop is in period of warratny and installed Windows 7 but now I see that my webcam, the volume keys and the brightness keys do not work.  My laptop comes with Windows 8, but I felt uncomfortable to use and therefore installed windows 7.  Could someone guide me why am I faced with these issues.

  Is this because the drivers installed not for Windows 7, webcam, sound keys and brightness keys to do a few other glitches.  However, please provide me with a link to drivers for the same.

  PS: HP Pavilion G6 - 2301 AX with windows 8, but now running on windows 7 32 bit OS

  I bought this from Amazon, and it worked fine for a day or two. Now, when the computer shuts down or sleep the monitor turns on and has a signal, but the contrast and brightness are zero, I can raise them and discern the office, but the color is incorrect.

  This is part of a two-monitor display, the other monitor works fine.

  Did the hard reset, diagnostic on monitor, and diagnoses are normal.

  the LCD for my Qosmio F55-Q502 cracked and I ordered the same room and when I installed it, everything works fine and everything but the brightness up and down are reversed.   If yes I would contact an authorised service dealer or the store where you bought it. In my opinion the screen is not 100% compatible for your model. This would also explain the different reference numbers you posted

  Note:  You should have at least 1 other MediaSmart software installed (any) before installing this.

  I have an A300-1BG Mdoel PSAJ0E-014013CE with Windows XP SP3 and BIOS V2.70.

  I can see the screen but very low light, backlight does not work, in my opinion. When you use direct Sunrise light flash on the screen, I tried the following:

  Light does not work with the Fn + F6 or Fn + F7 keys.
  I tried to change the profiles to be able to adjust the brightness to the maximum level 8 in any power profile
  I have reset the BIOS defaults

  However, all these attempts failed to get the brightness of the backlight/right.

  I've seen other problem brightness in these forums, but I'm not sure. I need advice.

  First of all, I tried to get my BIOS update, but the news related to the BIOS update for this type of laptop is now on discards to the V4 and I could not find the procedure or release notes how to put my old V2.70 BIOS to new. Any help?
