I started the impossibility to print anything. Firefox says that it cannot find my printer (I paraphase). When I try to find the settings to check, I can't find them. The options that others have listed to solve these things are options that I can't find.
So then I tried to log on th the Firefox site but cannot, as I don't remember my password. Press the lost password option, key to my email address, it is said by e-mail has been sent. Received nothing while the other emails arrive in my Inbox. Check spam, trash and so on, but still no email to reset my password.
Wait an hour and then left through the same process. Still not received any e-mail after checking the trash and spam and Inbox. Do not have a separate folder for Firefox or Mozilla.
Had to create a second account to be able to post this message. I don't know where to turn or what to do next. Does anyone have an idea of what is going on please?

Yes, it was Trusteer Endpoint Protection - otherwise known as report - Nat West Bank customers and highly recommended by them who was at fault. Turn it off solved it... Maybe I'll look to see if IBM highlighted in an updated version.

I just start a new laptop and trying to get Outlook, Hotmail, I downloaded Live Essentials. In the context of that Skype has been installed. I already have it on my desk top so no not anything would be a problem.
I am at the point of connection and when I used the same log-in under my desk, did not work. So clicked on password forgotten, changed. Tried to log in again, not good. Keeps asking for my Skype name. Have no idea what it is other than the login name or the name that appears at the top of the page on my desktop.
No matter what I have / use, cannot open a session.
Don't know what other information need. Give me an idea what to do.

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

I had any other problems with it. At least once a day, it crashes. It crashes even on mozilla.com with no other open tabs. Sites are slow. Much slower than they should be. Google takes a good minute to 2 minutes to load. It's a roll of the dice for me if I have any bookmarks when I load firefox.
I did not have all these problems with Firefox 4.
There could be a problem in your Firefox profile. For example, one of your modules may cause the problem. If you're ready to try some troubleshooting, you could test in Firefox Safe Mode, which temporarily disables your add-ons.
I recommend you backup your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See your backup information. (You can copy your profile folder Firefox together somewhere outside the Mozilla folder).
On the Help menu, choose "restart with disabled modules. If you can't go to the Help menu until Firefox freezes or breaks down, hold down the SHIFT key when you restart Firefox. More information: Safe Mode.

In response to your question, because security vulnerabilities, roll back to Firefox 4.0.1 is discouraged. 3.6.18 Firefox would be the safer choice.
Here is the process to roll back:
First of all, I recommend you backup your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See your backup information. (You can copy your profile folder Firefox together somewhere outside the Mozilla folder).
Then, download and save Firefox 3.6 on your desktop for later installation. http://www.Mozilla.com/Firefox/all-older
Firefox is closed 5.
You could install Firefox 3.6 on it (many have reported success) or you can uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, the entire program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left. If there are serious questions, please post back with details.

When I initially activated my Tom Tom GPS (Jan 2012) I did have a problem using Firefox. About 4-6 weeks ago, I tried to update the device and "My Tom Tom" wouldn't go with Firefox. After literally hours trying to make it work, I tried Internet Explorer and the updates took place without a hitch. Today, I had the same problem and after a few failed attempts to use Firefox, IE passed and had no problems. I don't know, but I think I updated my Tom Tom device at least once via Firefox and I think the problem some time after April 2012
It is probably because you are running a very updated version of Firefox. I have a TomTom, and it works very well with Firefox 15.0.1. Try to update to that and then try again.

What we know is what account you mean for Firefox.
Firefox requires no connection to an account to be able to work.
Do you hear a name and a password for Firefox Sync?
The current versions of Firefox use a Firefox to connect to Sync account and which is different from previously worked synchronization.

So really, say you a password to start Firefox, then you must uninstall (remove) this version and download and install the official version of Firefox from the Mozilla server.

You can try the following.
Shut down the PC. Tap away at f8 that you start the PC to enter the Windows Recovery Console. Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER. If windows will load in this mode, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore. Choose a restore point at least 24 hours prior to the issue of logon and then proceed to the restoration. When you are finished, Windows will restart as normal in order to check if you can now connect correctly.
Another option if the above does not help is as follows.
Shut down the PC. Tap away at f8 that you start the PC to enter the Windows Recovery Console. Use the arrow keys to select "Start using last good known Configuration" and press ENTER.
