  Hi all

  I tried to contact the HP support with the issue, but their technicians say that this problem is a problem so here goes from Windows:

  I use PC HP ProBook 4540 s (Energy Star) with Windows 8 x64bit. All of my drivers, BIOS, and compatible HP drivers are updated with the latest versions of the Windows updates. The problem I encounter is that the goes to black for a second or two screen when the power adapter is Plugged-in or unplugged.

  Personally, I think that the problem is related to graphics switchable but don't know how. So far the HP gave me and I tried the following, but to no avail solutions:

  HP has proposed the following

  1. check and see if the problem persists in safe mode

  Result: There is no such a problem in safe mode. Nothing happens when the power adapter is plugged in or unplugged. Screen does not change its brightness or black,

  2. update your BIOS to the latest version

  Result: BIOS is already up-to-date

  3 follow these steps:

  (a) turn off PC

  (b) remove the adapter and any attached external devices

  (c) remove the battery

  (d) press and hold the Power button for 20-30 seconds (this will ensure to remove any residual current)

  (e) turning on the PC using only the AC power

  Result:  Has not made a difference, the problem persists

  Share there is a problem with my laptop, its brand new I bought it last month. I would appreciate a solution and please do not ask me to run to troubleshoot because it has not helped OR nor did reinstall Windows 8 makes all the difference. Thank you

  I just bought this laptop yesterday and I had the same problem as you.   But I think I found the solution.

  What you need to do is 1) go into your power settings, by clicking on the icon of your battery.

  (2) then choose change settings of either "star power balance and energy" or "Energy saving" matter which.

  (3) once you do this, go to "change advanced settings" (must be higher where you adjust the brightness of the screen).

  (4) then go to the left and choose the option that says "Intel HD graphics" and click there and CHANGE the setting to 'maximize the battery' and change to 'optimize performance '.

  It was fixed without 'maximize battery' on mine.

  Once you do this, the problem will be completely solved!

  Please check if you face the same problem when recording in safe mode. It is a possibility that one of the non-Microsoft application or driver is causing this issue.
   
  Step 1.
  a. restart your computer.
  b. when the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information tap the F8 on your keyboard key repeatedly until you are presented with the screen Windows 7 Advanced Startup Options.
  c. using the arrow keys, select the desired option of Mode without failure.
  d. press the Enter key on your keyboard to start in safe mode of Windows 7.
  e. when Windows starts, you will be at a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Windows 7 goes into safe mode.
  f. do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.
   
  Step 2.
  If it works fine in safe mode try performing a clean boot in order to find the cause root.

• Autofocus TextField when the keys are of type (for Qwerty devices)

  I have a TextField will be used for filtering a list of items. For the Q10/5 etc I would like that it if the focus was automatically to the textfield if all keys are typed (and the keys to the first and following would go there).

  I have this work by adding a KeyListener on the container Page and when I get the keyPressed signal I do:

        field.text = event.unicode;
     }
  }
  

  It works, unless the user is able to type two keys quickly enough, in which case the first key goes in the field, but the second is lost.

  I checked that the routine above is actually executed twice, once for every strike, and that field.focused returns true for the second sequence of keys, so this seems like a bug. Anyone have ideas on this?

  If someone else has implemented something similar, could test you with two quick strikes in very quick succession (probably<50ms apart)="" and="" see="" if="" you="" get="" the="">

  I don't know why I created a second, other than that I must have forgotten that I had done the first time where I started this one. I'll close this as an answer, but looking back at the other for the main thread.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  This notification is managed by BTTray.exe process. You must change the following registry entries to ged rid of this ugly alert:

  Press the Windows key and type 'regedit' > go to

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Widcomm > BTConfig > General > KeyIndication

  Change the value of 'KeyIndication' from '1' to '0 '.

  Reset...

  And the wicked notification disappeared!

  Control Panel > mouse > UltraNav > TouchPad settings > check the presets > PalmCheck and move the slider to the left to the Minimum.

  From the windows control panel, open the ease of access Center and click on the link "make the keyboard easier to use.  If there is a check mark in the box beside 'Turn Sticky Keys' or ' turn on Filter Keys, Remove these and then click on apply to apply the change to see if that solves the problem.
