L7680 installation fails when reinstalled windows because it needs administrator rights, but it is

I had some problems with my laptop with Windows 7, so I did a windows repair (not a clean reinstall).  Now my Officejet pro L7680 works as a printer, but many features do not work, and the HP Solution Center starts. So I tried to reinstall the center of HP solutions from the original disk, but it fails because it must be in administrator mode.  BUT IT IS IN ADMINISTRATOR MODE! I have rebooted, tried safe mode, close the printer/disable... stil can't install HP.

Hi foxyjoe,

What was the reason behind the windows repair?

It is possible since you reinstall from scratch you have still some problems with your operating system. Follow the steps below and let me know what happens?

First step: clear temp directory

  1. Type %temp% term or search programs and files of field
  2. Select all the files in this folder, and then press the delete key to remove. If you receive a message that the file is in use, you will need to ignore this file (s).
  3. Proceed to step 2 below

Second step: downloaded and extracted to your system:

1 download the drivers and full software features

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4063&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=2512009

2. once the download is complete, double-click the file to extract the software.

3. when the installation window opens, press the Cancel button to stop the installation

4. tap folder in the race or search programs and files of field

5. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)

6. right click on the folder and select copy

7. close this window and all open windows, and then in the Middle the desktop right click your mouse and select Paste. This will move the 7z folder on your desktop.

8 open the 7z, that you just copied on your desktop

9 open the Util folder

10 open the CCC folder

11. start the L4uninstall.exe

12. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

13. run disk cleanup from the tools Accessories\ system under all programs folder

14. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

http://www.Adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

15 open the 7z folder and then double-click the Setup.exe file that will be towards the bottom of the open window. Follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall your printer.

Let me know if you are able to successfully install the software and driver and are able to print & scan?

I have a dell computer with Windows XP Home on the side product key.  How can I get the installation software to reinstall windows?

Dell should have provided you with a Windows XP Recovery CD or recovery hard disk partition. You check specific instruction manual. At least on some Dell compters the procedure press the F8 key during the boot process.

  • Error - installation failed when trying to open AVG Antivirus and internet options will not open.

Original title: I need help to fix my 'internet options' in the control panel.

THiiS is a recent problem and I don't know what may have caused it. I tried to install a new virus program to see if the problem was a virus or spyware. I have read that sometimes AVG will cause problems. But in order to install the new antivirus, I have to remove AVG... cannot do! It says "installation failed" when I try to open the long counter. There is therefore no uninstall program. I need to open my internet options in the control panel to start the process of fixing things. but it does not open. I can't download all the programs from my browser. In the lower right hand corner of my IE on the left 'internet' is a white box with a red X.

UPDATE... I used my external CD/dvd drive and was able to copy the installation for firefox to a computer and put it on the shot, I have problems with. Hooray! success... Now, I have firefox and a navigation bar and was able to successfully download a program from the internet. Now, try to uninstall AVG... (how the hell uninstall something that says 'installation failed')

  • My computer won't let me not reinstall windows because he thinks that it is 32-bit and does not recognize the installation discs. Help please?

My computer has not worked since I stopped him during an automatic update. Which I have been kicking myself since then, but the last time that he updated, he beat the computer and I panicked.

Anyway, it won't run certain programs, including iTunes and a large part of MS Office, and no matter how many times I try to reinstall, they still do not work, saying: "side by side configuration is incorrect."

What I want is to restore it to factory settings - all my data is secured and sustained upward. But when I put in my recovery disks (and they are the highest boot priority in the BIOS) the system takes care of the hard drive as usual. When I remove the ability to boot from the hard drive, my system no reserves at all, telling me to restart or insert a suitable disc. And when I boot from the disk and try to run it manually, by clicking ETFSBOOT, it tells me that "the version of this file is not this version of the file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are using. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need a x 86 (32 bit) or an x 64 (64-bit) version of the program. »

I have double and triple checked this - my system is 64-bit. My records are 64-bit. As far as I know, the computer got garbled during the automatic update and now part of it think it's 32-bit (some programs are divided into sections 32-bit and 64-bit). All I want to do is to reinstall windows, but I don't know what to do because it does not recognize my discs! Any suggestions, internet?

    Thank you very much.

In addition, if it is relevant, I'm Windows Vista on an ASUS K50IJ laptop. I do not have the windows install disc because the computer was shipped with windows installed, but I have the recovery disc ASUS (which have been used to restore my computer in the past).

    Hello

Since you are unable to open programs like iTunes or Office, you can try to perform the system restore and check if it helps.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To run the system restore, you can consult the following link:

    System restore

About the factory restore the question, you need to contact ASUS support for additional help on ASUS recovery disks.

  • Get the error when reinstalling windows 7 on the drivers

Im having a problem reinstalling windows, I hope someone can help me the finishing process.

When I start the machine I get an error saying please insert boot media device., so I inserted my disc of windows 7 to begin the intall

I chose Custom just to do a clean install but when comes the next page, it says that I have not all drivers. I guess his doesn't see is not my hard drive and I have no option to choose and im stuck in this page... can someone help me with this one

If the installation fails again, it may be a hardware incompatibility problem. Go to the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor on the Microsoft website to see if your computer can run Windows 7.

If you have compatible hardware and your computer still stops responding, disable any unnecessary material. Remove (USB) universal serial bus devices. Remove or disable network cards, sound cards and cards of the series; and then restart the installation.

  • features lost when reinstalling windows 7 ultimate?

During my first installation of windows 7, he had this thing like organizing on the desktop. It has different subjects and the subjects had shortcuts to my programs. It would be like "microsoft office" and when I clicked on tiny shortcuts seems that has forged ties to Word, PowerPoint, etc. I recently had to pass on my hard drive to a new because it was a failure and I just reinstalled windows 7 and I can't get it back. I don't know what it's called, but it's kind of similar to ObjectDock if you know what it is. I was wondering if anyone knows what his name and how can I get it back? Note: it is not a gimmick.

I ended up calling dell today because I realized other things are missing, and they helped me to find out what it was called. It is called dell dock. It is therefore useful if you haven't already you should watch it upward and install it! but thanks for trying to help me!

  • I have a problem when reinstalling windows 7

So I consulted the floppies to install Windows 7, it seems like it works fine, but when I get to the part "where do you want to install windows?", I have 2 options, allow me to 're-create' this thing

    | Name                                      | Total size | Free space | Type

    Disk 0 partition 1 58.5 GB 29.4 Go system

    Disk 0 partition 2 GB 35.2 GB logical 90.4

To make it more clear, I took a picture and mounted, I wasn't able to do it myself: http://prntscr.com/7evg34

I asked some of my friends that do, they told me to install it on the 'primary' type of disc, but I have none of these.

I'm too scared to format the drive "System", and I was intending to save everything I had on the disk 'Logic', what should I do?

Unlike André there is a simpler way to make partitions that stretched along way. No offense andre but that takes to long and there is a quicker way.

go to computer management and open disk management.

go to your system partition and do a right click on it and reduce the volume to about 8 MB

After that you will have unallocated space on the system partition. Right-click on your logic and extend it to reclaim this space. Why you want to do it is because even if you remove the windows partition system will make the partition of the same amount of space that you started with. OK, now that you have done this make sure that you take your stuff important off the comp and save on disc or usb.

then put in your drive and start the installation. When you get to the part of the partition of the installation go to the right and click the option and you should see a delete button. first delete the system partition, and then after it is done remove the logical partition. It's just delete both partitions. you will then see the space unallocated that choose and click Next and then you will get a warning do not worry just click Next and you will start your installation and windows will build you a new partition and system partition. It's all clean for install made to continue with the installation. If you do not understand something I'll try to explain better for you. This is how I do my comps when necessary and it is a trick of tech for a faster installation

  • Installation fails when wake update 10.1.2 in 10.1.0 - Package MSI

    Hello.

    I need help.

After "slipstreaming" in the 10.1.0 10.1.2 update Player Package MSI - installer fails with the message:
Error 1334. Cannot install the file 'adobearmhelper.exe' because the file is not found in the file 'Data1.cab '. This may indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. [/ quote]

The system is W7 SP1 with the latest updates. Without anti-virus running. Working under the account administrator (SYSTEM and console).

Reader 10.1.0 I joined the 10.1.2 update as follows:
msiexec /a AdbeRdr1010_en_US.msi /p AdbeRdrUpd1012.msp
Update runs successfully.

Extract the Data1.cab of the new integrated package shows: 'adobearmhelper.exe' is missing.

Extract AdbeRdrUpd1012.msp shows: adobearmhelper.exe is here.

The 1 - Mio.-$-Question is: why the wake not working / integrate all the correct files?

Very funny: when I download the AdbeRdr1012_en_US.exe of ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.2/en_US/, extract the .exe and take a look in the Data1.cab-> adobearmhelper.exe is missing. Check the 'AcroRead.msi' with shows of Orca MSI Editor: no input files for adobearmhelper.exe table.

Install the AdbeRdr1012_en_US.exe giving the version 10.1.0.

    What's wrong?

I downloaded the MSI package for reader 10.1.0 of:

    FTP://FTP.Adobe.com/pub/Adobe/Reader/win/10.x/10.1.0/en_US/

    and 10.1.2 update of:

    FTP://FTP.Adobe.com/pub/Adobe/Reader/win/10.x/10.1.2/Misc/

Integrate and install 10.1.1 in 10.1.0 works fine without errors.

Unfortunately, an update of 10.1.1 10.1.2 stops with an error and does not work.

Is anyone know about problems with 10.1.2?

    Thanks for your help.

    Concerning

    Johannes

Please use the correct way to create the AIP as described below. The agreement in principle for the full drive (i.e. AdbeRdr1010_en_US.msi) must be created as a transaction separate, followed by the update of the AIP created with the last update patch (i.e. AdbeRdrUpd1012.msp).

Please visit kb2.adobe.com/cps/837/cpsid_83709/attachments/Acrobat_Enterprise_Administration.pdf for more information on the same.

    1. msiexec /a AdbeRdr1010_en_US.msi

(When you are prompted to enter an installation location a location appropriate disk space. say C:\AIP)

    2 msiexec /a C:\AIP\AdbeRdr1010_en_US.msi /p AdbeRdrUpd1012.msp

This will ensure that all new files added as part of a new update will be automatically incorporated in the AIP created.

Hope this will solve your problem and save you the trouble of having to remove the entry from Orca explicitly.

    Ankit
