L7780 WPA - PSK index value

Hello

I think it's pretty simple, but I am unable to find a concrete response so far. The settings of the wireless on the L7780 interface supported by the selection of an index key other 1 to search for wireless networks.

For example the unit sees my network, I can enter key communicated in advance through the menu before, but don't connect not because of the value of key index being other than 1.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

See you soon!

I wonder if you meant index WEP as WPA - PSK does not use the concept of a key index.

To change the index WEP, temporarily connect the L7780 with an Ethernet cable to your network and browse the web page internal printer.  Select wireless, wireless network, and then modify the index WEP as you wish.  Unplug the cable and the printer must connect to your wireless network.

Just curious - must - use you WEP?  Can you switch to WPA - PSK?

  • Wireless and WPA - PSK on the Satellite L505 - 10 p

    Hello world!

I recently bought a new laptop, Satellite L505 - 10 p. I installed Windows 7 Pro (64 bit), but the wireless card was not recognized first (it is a Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC), so I went to realtek drivers page and downloaded the drivers but it didn't work, so I went to the toshiba support page and then I found the package with drivers fully functional under 64-bit windows 7... Well I thought.

I have two wireless access points I needed to connect: with WPA (TKIP + AES) protection and the other with WPA - PSK. Initially, it didn't work at all with the windows Connection Wizard, the wpa key interpreted... and he was always asking for it. So I installed ConfigFree toshiba web site and I have connected to my WPA (TKIP + AES), but the other doesn't work at all, it always says "connection error" (with ConfigFree)...
I know that the L505 series is very recent and that she needs an appropriate driver (not only in Windows, but also Linux).

You encounter this kind of problem?

    Thank you

It's me again! Forget everything I said... it was just the Mac filtering on my router blocking the connection...

  • Satellite L505 - WPA2-PSK does not work, but works of WPA - PSK

    Hello

I have a Satellite L505 and I tried to use WPA2-PSK security to connect to my Netgear DGN2000 router, since I read that only this authentication allows speed Wireless-N, but it does not work. I chose it as the mode to use on the router and Windows 7 64 bit on my laptop, so everything should work properly. If I set everything up to use WPA - PSK, then I can connect us, but the connection is terrible, even when I put the phone right next to the router. It indicates the quality of the signal is excellent and that it is connected to 54Mbs, but if I set up a ping to the router I can see over time, it goes up to 4 seconds and continually to expire. This means that the internet is unusable wireless.

For this reason, I was hoping I could get Wireless N work and I hope that the connection would be better. Someone can tell me why WPA - PSK works but not WPA2-PSK? (I tried versions of the AES and TKIP)

    Hello

Hmm... You have written anything on your OS... :(

On Windows XP, you need to install the Windows Update KB917021 as you can read here:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/917021/

I'll try to updated the WLAN driver. You can get the latest version on the Toshiba site.

Finally and above all it s always advisable to update the firmware on your router. You can get on the page of manufacturing of the router where you should find a changelog too.

  • Must be able to access the network WPA PSK

    Hello

I just got my laptop Satellite Pro L300. I have a sky broadband wireless router in my house and it works with my computer and my laptop roommates but not with the Satellite Pro.

Phone heaven Support and they told me to tell you that my laptop is not recognising non secure networks and I should be able to access the network WPA PSK.
    What should I do?

    Kind regards

    >.. .but not with the Satellite Pro.
    Does that mean exactly?
You see that this guaranteed WLAN?
Can you put WPA password to have full access or what?
    What exactly happens?

  • Satellite P100-160 refuses to connect to my router 3Com with WPA - PSK

Help! My new laptop Toshiba refuses to connect to my router 3Com (f/w 2.06T13) model 3cWDR100A on WPA - PSK. The router only supports TKIP (no AES).

The laptop, a Satellite P100-160 is under Vista Home Premium with the latest Intel 3945 11.5.0.32 driver and I tried the version of the site Web of Toshiba version mentioned in other threads (and a few other versions also).

Either way, I don't like latest driver hit with content identical binary files and different date stamps or running of the anonymous installers that have not been digitally signed.

The problem is that non-encrypted, or WEP works perfectly, but WPA - PSK is not. It fails with a diagnostic message 'timeout for secondary keys. The thing will be very occasionally connect to the network without a timeout (before I tried to improve things with the last pilot about 1 in 20 attempts after a reboot, now it comes rather from 1 to 100). If I can be sure that the password is correct. When it connects everything is fine and stable with excellent signal until the first suspended and then the connection is lost. It's more than a little irritating.

I see several topics of doom similar networks to Vista support groups. They all seem to hinge around WPA - PSK TKIP and WiFi Intel chipset x 945 in combination with certain models of router. Please can anyone help solve this mess?

I've seen other threads of networking in Vista by users with this specific Intel chipset and my router model having exactly the same problem and so far nobody has found a solution. I checked the basics of knowledge (MS & 3Com) and tried a few plausible fixes, but nothing helped. I'm out of ideas.

It seems a little absurd to demote network security to make the latest PC works correctly. Dumping Vista (however tempting) is not an option.

Thanks for any suggestions or diagnostics.

    Kind regards
    Martin Brown

    Hello Martin

As you can see this is not Toshiba specific stuff and if there is no 'global solution' I don't really know what Toshiba should do about it. As you all know it should support hardware and software (driver), but if not I don't really see a solution for this.
Who should offer a solution? Toshiba or Intel?  :|

  • Satellite A100 - 003 WLAN (with WPA - PSK) connection timeout

I have a laptop Satellite A100-003 with preinstalled in Windows Vista.
When I try to connect to my router with WPA - PSK (TKIP) I have error:
Wireless authentication failed because of a time-out.
My laptop and the router configured properly! I installed the new drivers intel 3945ABG chip.
WPA2-PSK and WEP are working very well.

    Hello

The same thing happened on my old laptop.
I was not able to establish the WiFi connection for more than 1 min with WPA encryption.
I downloaded the latest Atheros driver and updated everything.
Everything works very well with WEP but not WPA.

Then I disabled the option to clean Windows configuration and use the Atheros utility. Now everything works fine!
I recommend using the Intel Proset utility and check all the possible settings!

  • Is WiFi adapter supports WPA - PSK on Equium A100-147 encryption?

I decided to buy a satellite A100-147, but I would like confirmation that the WiFi adapter supports WPA - PSK encryption. I can't find confirmation anywhere. My guess is that he does, it's a recent machine, but I would be sure.

    Thank you once again.

    Doug

    Hello

I m not 100% sure what wireless network adapter has been installed on this unit but I think it might be to use an Intel Wireless 3945ABG card.

The Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG card supports WPA, WPA2, WPA - PSK encryption. I found this info on the Intel site. You should also check it.

But as I said above, I m not 100% sure about the Wlan card. To my knowledge, several series of laptops come with different hardware configuration. This means that different wireless network cards can be used in notebook.

  • Get the current index value of the table control

I have a table control 1 d on a panel that contains a value of temperature curve that I send to a temperature controller. The values in the table are not unique, because for example 40.5 degrees in the table could represent 40.5 degrees on the cycles of cooling or heating. I could have severat heating/cooling cycles programmed into the table. I would like a way to read the array index of the currently displayed item in the array in the up/down control of index on the left of the table control. I could then run curves partial temperature easily by neutrophilia a starting point on the curve in the table control.

I don't see a property that I can use to get this index value. Anyone have any ideas?

  • WPA - PSK connection problem

My new HP mini can connect to my router, if she has no protection.  When I got to the shelter with WPA - PSK and I put the password and everything, my mini HP cannot connect.  All parameters are good, so I don't know what could be the problem...  The router name when I look for an internet connection, but it will not just connect - and it does not give an error message.  I know the router is working, because my desktop computer can connect to it very well.  You simply suggests having the router with no protection, but I do not exactly as if other people use, it's going slowly.

Any suggestion or help or anything that could possibly solve my problem would be greatly appreciated (and the real problem is that I want to connect my computer HP mini to the router when the router has some sort of protection, which must not be WPA - PSK)

    Thank you.

Well, I said to my brother (very good with computers) on the problem, and he said that it was the operating system, and whether you have reinstall windows XP or get Ubuntu.  I ended up getting ubuntu that I didn't have a CD Player for the HP mini.  Now he can connect to WPA and it works fine.  So I think that my brother was it's the operating system.

I hope this info helps people!

P.S. - If you get Ubuntu, it runs 10 times faster, and it supports a large number of windows aps - this is my first time using Ubuntu and it RULES!

If you don't know how to get ubuntu top, follow this-

    http://www.Ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download

I like it much more, because you can't get adware - literally, as ubuntu works aps .exe (although with a program called wine)

  • Cannot connect to a WPA - PSK with WLAN DW1520 Wireless-N particular, but can when no security is set to wireless. How can I get the card to use WPA - PSK?

I have a DW1520 Wireless-N WLAN Half-Mini card in an Alienware M17X10. I am trying to connect my home through a TRENDNet TEW-435BRM access DSL issue in WPA - PSK.

I was able to get the card to use the accounts wireless WPA2-PSK and WPA - PSK in other areas is not a problem directly related to WPA - PSK.

I can get it to connect to the network when the diffuse TRENDnet without security (free release) and when directly plugged into the wireless router, cable - but every time I go to dissemination of WPA - PSK it can't connect?

While in WPA - PSK the WLAN card can 'see' the network and wireless router can see the 'computer' (and is a 'trust machine'). I have one couple of other previous model Dells connected to the network without problem or needed changes if any ideas why I would have questions here?

The driver installed is the 'last' to 5.60.48.35.

I tried to restart the router and the computer without success. I use Windows Firewall.

No bright sparks that can point me in the right direction?

    Thank you

  • How to change the encryption type M252dw printer WPA2 (WPA - PSK) for the WPA used by the router?

We had to change the type of encryption on our WPA2 WiFi router (LAN setup origin, on which to install and successfully used our M252dw printer) and use simple WPA, to solve some other problems of connectivity.

NOW, the HP printer, we have (M252dw) apparently does not automatically reset the encryption type.

Apparently, he has no way to automatically start "from scratch" when connecting to the new configuration of router.

Even with ALL the rest on the LAN works fine and speaking well, including WiFi laptops and smart phones, the HP printer sees the new name of WiFi SSD connects to the router in order to attempt a connection, accepts the new password WPA, but RETAINS THE WPA - PSK PARAMETER OF CONFIGURATION PREVIOUS.

We know, because after that the printer fails to connect, print the network SHOWS Test report this known problem in the paragraph of the resolution of the problems, but worthless advice said to "run the setup of wireless network for re - enter your network WPA wireless security password. The WPA authentication on your HP printer has been changed from the default setting. This can cause problems connecting to your wireless network, if your wireless router does not use the same breed of WPA authentication.

    Well, DUH.

Mind you, there is NOTHING in the post above that says:
    1) go to "this" menu item.

    2) click "this" option to change the encryption method.

    (3) select the method (SSID, WEP, WPA, WPA2) that corresponds to your router.

... because... There seems to be NO option ANYWHERE in ANY menu that offers this choice.

HE DIDN'T THERE HAS NO BUTTON, OPTION, SELECTION, OR ADVICE IN THE MANUAL TO RESET OR CHOOSE WPA!

There is a checklist wonderfully unnecessary, repeated throughout your manuals and on the site, basically saying

' Check the type of printer encryption (WEP, WPA, WPA2, etc.) corresponds to the router.

Well well... What do you do when you KNOW that it IS NOT?

Thanks to try at least, I appreciate it.

    Unfortunately, it did not work;

but it leads to find the answer for later use.

    Summary -

    After selecting
Printer flow treatment and deleted the saved connection data, an IPv4, subnet mask and default gateway address (router address IPv4) and IPv6 turned power on.

    Then... I did this:

    (1) Went back to and IPv6 turned to back, leaving only ON IPv4.

    2) went back to and returned once again the preferred settings.
    Address: 192.168.254.250

    Mask: 255.255.255.0

    Default gateway: 192.168.254.254

    3) reinforced by the "Wizard" where he immediately found the SSID of the wireless router.

    (4) select the SSID of the router

    (5) when it is asked for the password (which is actually just a 'word' with WPA pass) I got that.

    (6) given the printer attempts to connect and failed.

WPA - PSK same listed, even noted on the test report from network once more.

Therefore, no chance after Restore Defaults.

It really would have been nice if HP had made sure this option actually actually reset * ALL * default settings, including the wiping WPA2 security type.

(Just for reference, the DHCP range is set to 192.168.254.15 - 192.168.254.47, so that the fixed IP addresses assigned, like this printer, you can assign DHCP to be defined to ensure no changes outside.

This printer is the FIRST device assigned a fixed IP address, to make sure that nothing else can come into conflict with the IP address and eliminate it as a cause as possible.)

OK - so after your suggestion, I am inspired to re - enter the menu and look at it again.

I had already looked through what I have and not able to find the submenu I thought that has been included by HP...

.. .or I would expect a user was manually choose method/type of security encryption (SSID, WEP, WPA, WPA2)

.. .or at least handed to "REMOVE/RESET/nothing: Please ask the next router you are trying to connect to use"

One thing I found there is the option that resembled what I wanted now:

That seemed to be the best thing after trying to 'Network Defaults' so I did.

Then did a not through all the steps above, 1-6...

    * SUCCESS *.

ALSO: The printer is already running on each PC had to be "retired" in Windows

    -According to the right

    -Then follow up

-Waited for printer not found, click it, and then select

Thank you HP - I just needed to find out who Reset was correct.

Now - I humbly suggest stating that in the manual.

Under the line "Verify encryption type corresponds to router", you could add something simple like:

"IF it isn't, then select and your printer will automatically ask the next router you are trying to connect with and correspond to this type of encryption."
