Labil download on my Satellite P200 - 1 FT rate

Hello

2 months ago, I bought a Satellite P200 - 1 FT. I am connected to the internet via WLAN and with my other Home PC, everything worked perfect on WLAN. My laptop and my desktop computer are standing on the same office, so the distance to the WLAN router is the same. When I download a file to my old computer, it constantly charge at fullspeed. When I download the file even a few minutes later with my laptop the download speed is very labil. I used "NetMeter" and made [this screenshot | http://blog.alex-z.de/wp-content/uploads/2008/01/downloadspeed.jpg]
To make sure that the distance between the router and the laptop does not play a role I sat directly beside the WLAN router, but I had the same problem. The configuration of the network in Windows Vista seems to be correct either. Vista indicates that the connection to my router is perfect. I took my Satellite to a friend and even there, I had the same problem and him, sitting next to me, doesn't have.

A few days ago I installed "Free Download Manager" and strangely enough it works much better. The download rate is more constantly.

Does anyone have the same problem like me? I do not understand why the download rates are going up and down all the time, when I download files with Firefox or Internet Explorer, the server I download since is not the reason.

Sorry for my English, but it's not my native language. If you don't understand something from my post, then please ask ;)

Thanks for your replies!

Best regards

According to this info I n t think there could be a problem with you connection WLan as you say you have a better download performance using Free Download Manager software. This software uses the same wireless LAN such as Firefox or Internet Explorer so for me it s you disable WLan connection correctly.

However, you can update the WLan driver and also can recommend tests to download the same file by using the LAN connection. You can then check to see if the same problem happens with Firefox and Internet Explorer.

  • Re: Satellite P200-1FJ - LAN driver for Windows 7 64 bit

Can someone help me with the LAN driver for Satellite P200-1FJ? I have Windows 7 64 bit, when I ask for this driver in the toshiba site, reed "Sorry we couldn't find drivers corresponding to your search criteria."

    Hi legiadb,

The drivers, you can download here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

As you've probably seen, there is no 64-bit Windows 7 driver available, so I recommend you test a 64 bit Vista driver.
    It works on Windows 7?

Solution check the Realtek page directly ;)

  • Is a 3rd party compatible with Satellite P200-1EE cooling module

    Hi all

The fan started making noise, a week after the warranty has ended, which means the replacement is necessary.

Almost impossible to find the fan in the United Kingdom, however noticed that the fan Sunon GB0507PGV1-A my P200 is identical to that in the Acer Aspire 9300, with an identical configuration of heat sink. The differences are the slopes of Acer of 1.6 and P200 at 1.2W. I found the fan Sunon - available at the United Kingdom Acer but wanted to ask experts if it would work.

    So, what do you think?

    Thank you guys

    Hello

The fan is not compatible with the Satellite P200.

You must use a Toshiba fan. An ASP (authorized service provider) can help you to get a new.
Here you will find an ASP:

  • Satellite P200 - need CPU fan replacement

I have a Satellite P200-16V and my problem is on the cpu fan.

I tried to open it, but after the keyboard, hard drive, Rams, OVOCHECK and 40-50 screws and some cables, I realized I have to get out the motherboard and screen mabe and I close it again after 3-4 hours. The cpu fan has been breaking and I don't know what to do.

I am from Greece. If I go to the toshiba in Greece, I can find a cpu fan or any system cpu radiator? Can you help me?

    Hey Buddy,

Looks like the fan needs to be replaced and therefore, you should contact the closest service provider authorized in your country. Guys can order a replacement part and swap it out.

On the Toshiba site, you can find a list of them:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > find an authorized service provider

Sorry, but everything that s what I can say. Here it s only a user forum so I think no one knows the exact number of part or a manual how to take apart the laptop but the ASP can do for you. :)

  • Satellite P200 P3PB3E: Network adapter not working after installing XP

I have a Satellite P200-p3pb3e running xp - sp2 inder. I downloaded the drivers on the Toshiba site and everything is working fine except for one element: the Ethernet controller is marked yellow in the Device Manager.
I don't know where I can get the driver.

A strange point that may or may not have an impact: Atheros network card is displayed as AR5006X with EVEREST, while Device Manager displays AR5007EG.

I used the driver from the Web from Toshiba site.

    Hello

Satellite p200-1dy seems to be equipped with chip Realtek 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet.

  • Drivers Windows xp on Satellite P200 - 1fc

    Hi all

Don't want to look stupid. A couple of days ago, I installed xp on my laptop and I downloaded the drivers I needed, the noise, the wlan and so on. But what I really need to know how to install them? I know it sounds really thick but I open the files and double-click the installer and it says install, but after that's over nothing at all! I installed wlan and hotkeys, but able to get its installed.
    Please can someone help me?

    I have a Satellite P200 - 1fc

    Thank you

    Hello

Hmm. Your post is funny ;) but don't be angry with me about this comment ;)

The installation is really easy. If there is a setup.exe you need to start this file. Then, the installation should begin.
If the setup.exe is not present then you must install the drivers from the Device Manager. Here, you have to choose the device and point to the downloaded driver package.

Installing the audio driver is a little more complicated. First of all, you need to install the XP patches and fixes Microsoft KB888111 and KB83522. And then, you must install the audio driver.

    HELP Please

There are some problems with installing xp on vista laptop... After talking to toshiba agent he's recovery discs there to put xp on as a straight install normally fails by experience.
Some won't take only short xp. (for one, made this mistake on a new laptop!)

Your best bet is the recovery disc and screw with vista, but do not install service pack 1 again... There are questions. Sort of a work in progress for Bill and his friends...

  • Satellite P200-RT2 - need help with recovery

I made a Boo-Boo and need advice/help to get things fixed.

My husband has a Satellite P200-RT2 running Win XP 32 bit (included with Vista, but had been upgraded). The battery needs to be replaced, does not load and he made the mistake to disconnect while it was closing, but had not closed completely. Laptop computer would not start even in Safe Mode.

So, I thought to try to insert a disc Win XP Pro thought, he would work to restart the computer and start again. No, he took over and completely restructured the laptop. If great, now have Win XP Pro on it, but can not load all Toshiba drivers that I downloaded from the Toshiba site.

I was not in a position to know if there is a specific order to load the drivers... have been reading and wonder if the BIOS should be the first?

Needless to say that the Toshiba recovery software went on the P200-RT2, I can't find a separate drive that supposedly it contains, there are only two listed drives, drive C and D (for DVDs).

Toshiba tells me that Microsoft sells the recovery software, MS told me that Toshiba sells. There are sites online that have the recovery disc for Vista I could buy or download, but I'm not sure on those that are reliable/safe.

Have to mention that I have a Toshiba laptop latest (L675 - 40 X, Win 7) and have the recovery disc for it.

Is it possible to use these recovery disks for Toshiba software loaded on the old P200-RT2?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

If I could get the XPPro to work, which would leave as OS... but I don't know where to find the drivers.

    Satellite P200 - RT2 PSPB0C is a Canadian model.
But the same model was released in Europe under the model number:E PSPB0

    Hello Philip

It might be problematic for you to find the original Vista recovery disc for this older model laptop.
I'm also sure that you will not be able to order it too so my advice to you is to install the clean version of Win7 32-bit by using the original installation disc for Microsoft.

I had long ago P200D and I used it with Win7. I found all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities on Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/dow...ivers_bios.jsp

  • Recovery for Satellite P200 DVDs

Hello, I have a Satellite P200 12W computer and for some reason he couldn't start Windows correctly yesterday, I got a black screen. I decided to launch the recovery DVDs, he formatted the hard drive and then... could not copy all the files. It stops about 7 or 8% everytime I try, the DVD seems illegible.

I tried to buy a new one from the store, but he told me that the computer is too old or that I chose the wrong place.

Any idea to restart the computer?

    Thank you.

Satellite P200 is old model of laptop, and I imagine that you can not control the original Vista recovery disk.
As far as I know, and you can check, Satellite P200 is fully compatible to Win7 32-bit so I recommend you to install on your machine.

Last year, I sold my former P200D I used with Win7 32 bit and I can say that I was very pleased with the performance.
Get the Microsoft installation disc and install Win7. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download from the Toshiba download page - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

If you have any questions or advice on installing Win7 you are welcome.

  • Question on drive recovery on Satellite P200-143

Okay, guys, I bought a Satellite P200-143 at the start, and I have to get it back today, just to get rid of all the junk on this subject and when that I start, press F12 and it's fine. When the small black screen appears and it says "progress [insert here the percentage]' he always sticks to 54%.» I think it's because the disc has scratches on it.

Does anyone know where I could download the installer of recovery of online? I am running Windows Vista by moving over it.

    Any help appreciated.

Unfortunately, you can not download the image of Toshiba of all Toshiba websites.
If you want to recover the laptop with the image, then you need to use the Toshiba Recovery CD.
If your CD-ROM is defective then you can order it from the ASP in your country. To my knowledge it s not expensive.
Talk to the technicians ASP and ask that compatible.

The question I have is that the old drive of 200 GB system I am unable to use it in any other machine or according to and external storage device.
The original secondary disc works fine few matter where I use it... (In my PS3 at the moment)

When I install the orgional system drive in my laptop and rebuild windows it it still works 100%.
Hance a good work of 200 GB of HARD drive.
Take it out and serve in another machine of storage that it won't - boot all I get is cyclic redundancy errors

I formatted, low level run endless disk tools

Even as a drive on the original laptop is the same

All ideas taken with gratitude that I don't want to lose a good 200 GB HARD drive

    Thank you very much
    Roger

    Hello!

The external box is maybe defective, because you said that the HARD drive works in your laptop and the PS3 without problem.
You can test the HARD drive in another external case?

WD test unknown to me but I always use the Drive Fitness Test:
    http://www.HitachiGST.com/HDD/support/download.htm#DFT
With the Drive Fitness Test, you can test your HARD drive. Download the CD image, burn it to a CD and boot from it. You can then the HARD drive.

  • Need to go XP Display Driver Nvidia GeForce 7600 for Satellite P200-143

    Hello

I started my P200 - 143 Toshiba Satellite Vista double. But I can't find the NVIDIA drivers on the site Web of Toshiba. I tried many downloads of the nvidia Web site, but no one has been installed properly resulting in the flicker of screen on XP.

Kindly let me know the location of the driver to download the existing drivers from nvidia works perfectly or there is no particular sequence in which the drivers will be installed.

Any quick response is highly requested, please.

    Kashi

Sorry, buddy, but I don't quite understand you.
You have P Satellite P200-143 with model number PSPBGE-xxxxxxEN.

So what you need to do is to visit the download page for Toshiba under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

So what you need to do is to choose the right laptop model:

    Type of portable computer product
    Familly Satellite
    P series Satellite products
    Model 0 Satellite P200 (PSPBG)
    Model short No. PSPBGE
    Windows XP operating system
    Type display driver driver

    SEARCH

Nvidia 8.4.0.0 display driver version will be listed as a result.
I think that Toshiba has tested this driver and it should work properly. Of course, if you install the correct version of Windows XP Home (SP2 of Windows XP Home edition) and other things following the Instructions of facilities document.

    Good luck!
