LabVIEW 2010 crash when calling user32.dll

Interesting LabVIEW 2010 'characteristic', I discovered this morning.

Attached are two identical screws, a registered in 2010 and a registered in 2009.  These screws have been written specifically to demonstrate the bug, I came across this afternoon.  Each VI when it is run needs you to find a specific program (window) opened in Microsoft Windows and bring it to the foreground.  It is based on 'user32.dll' to perform this operation.  It also allows you to specify the calling convention for the function call.

LV 2009, calling convention works without error.  However, in LV 2010 the calling convention of the function must be "stdcall (WINAPI)" and not the default value of 'C '.  If the calling convention is 'C' LabVIEW hangs and then closes without warning.

If you happen to have LV 2009 and 2010 LV on your computer, I would like to hear if this phenomenon is duplicated so that I can identify if the bug is LV 2010 related or is more specific to my personal configuration.

Thank you

~ David

COLD LAKE with the calling convention incorrect siliently crash LabVIEW can.
LabVIEW 8.5 2009 could adjust the convention to call at run time if the user has selected the wrong option. In 2010, it is no longer a case. More information is located in the 59KB14WI knowledge base

Workaround: Use the correct calling convention

    Help!

When I try to open my vi in LabVIEW 2010 only, it hangs and stops.  I have attached the vi, if someone can help me and maybe the file vi recover or at least so I can see the Bock diagram, it would be most appreciated.  Otherwise, I'll have to start over again.

    Sorry... This is 2010.

  • LabVIEW crash when calling matlab script?

My version of labview 8.6, Matlab is 7.1. In the beginning, I always get error 1047 when calling matlabscript, then I downloaded recommended matscript.dll (7.1.0.2) and replace the original one (8,6) with this one. 1047 error does not happen. And the matlabscript code can be executed. However the labview crashes after that Matlab is called.

In fact my matlab file works well. At the end of the matlab code, data must be included on the photo. And it is. But after the image is shown, my labview breaks down, and when I reload the labview, it only invites me 'the last time you run labview, it is not stopped normally. The following files are automatically saved and are available for recovery.

I used same monitor recommended treatment. But I can't find any reason. I've removed the scriptnode output, it does the same thing.

anyone has a suggestion. I really appreciate your help.

    Jessie

I would say the matscript DLL that you copied on the removal and run a repair on the LabVIEW installation to see if that replaces the missing files.

  • Loading of a DLL on RT: Missing Export "DecodePointer" "Kernel32.dll" and 7 error when calling the DLL

Hi, I recently changed to Visual Studio 2010 and Windows 7 64-bit.

I have an existing Office RT system running RT 2009.  This system calls a DLL that I already built using Visual Studio .net 2003 and Windows XP.

Since I've recompiled the DLL I get an error 7 file not found error when I call the RT DLL, even if I simply replaced the old DLL with a new one in the file system so the path has not changed.

I also noticed that the message on the screen connected to the RT system during startup:

"achieveworldpeace.dll" load error: lack of export 'DecodePointer' of ' Kernel32.dll'.

Any ideas on this problem?  It is perhaps as simple as a switch in the compiler?

    Thank you.

I'm not sure it's a simple switch in the project settings in Visual C. The problem is clearly in the standard C runtime library that gets linked to your DLL and refers to exports of Windows which are not available on the RT system. Don't forget that the RT system is a limited Win32 API emulation.

I usually avoid these problems using Visual C 6 to create DLLs for LabVIEW projects. The standard library of the C runtimes will not know what Windows API reference more recent exports because they have supported even under Win95. So unless your explicitedly reference code not supported RT APIs you wouldn't have problems. If you do not use the standard C file i/o functions and management of memory in your DLL functions, you can also try to link statically C runtime libraries in your DLL, or vice versa depending on what you have now. It may or may not work. Otherwise there is not much else but by using an earlier version of Visual Studio.

  • Acrobat pdfmaker com addin for word 2010 crashes when processing large files

I try to use pdfmaker com plugin for word 2010 to create a PDF document. Whenever I have try and create the document, the addin acrobat crashes Word.

I tried to do this on x 86 and x 64 machine and it failed twice at around the point about even (during/immediately after determining the bookmarks).

The document is large (862 pages, 2425 bookmarks, 311 300 DPI graphic, for a total size of the 49.2MiB file)

I can generate the PDF by printing only, but the question of the use of the pdfmaker is so that we will not have to perform 2.5 K manual reticulations.

My short VI and I have no problem.

The only clue of what precedes, I can find is NiViPxi.dll

I use a PXI basket then maybe it is to do with one of the devices?

I would be nice to have more clues, anyone know why labVIEW crash?

    Rgds,

    Sean

    Hi jinfone.t

I managed to root it do a PXI netway 72 dll and have solved the problem, (took a lot of effort!)

-L'accident only happen when you re run this particular VI you are talking about?

    Yes

-Are there any crash logs generated?

None that I know outside the exit, that I stuck on the screen.  It is possible there is something in the case of monitor

    -Making your VI?

It function tests our product, (IOT)

-Would it not possible to view the code?

  • LabVIEW 2009 Crash when record for previous

I'm having a problem when you try to save a VI in LabVIEW 2009 to a previous version of LabVIEW, in this case 8.2, but itseems crashing no matter which version I chose.  I've narrowed the problem down to this:

If the vi contains a structure of event I get the following error: unrecoverable internal error: 'MemoryManager.cpp', line 547

If I remove the structure of the event, she records very well.  I even go the error if I create a vacuum vi and drop an empty event on the diagram structure.  No control, no other code.

Is this a known issue?  Is this a problem with my copy of LV?  Is there a solution?  Removal of the structure of the event in the present application is not an option.

    Thank you

    Rob

So the solution is to save to LV 8.6, then open in 8.6 and save here to earlier versions.  It works, I have not tried to save 8.6 initially.

  • LabVIEW application crashes when you exit a VI with one or several clients on remote control

    Hi all

This is the question that I met with LabVIEW 8.2 and LabVIEW 8.6. I publish one of the screws dynamically launch my application as a Web page. Then I load the application and launch this dynamic VI and connect to this VI by using a web browser from a PC intranet. Then if I try to exit from VI when the client is still connected to it, the application crashes. Please see the attached picture.
This behavior occurs randomly. Sometimes, everything works as expected when you exit the VI - the main screen of the application appears and in the client side, there is a "remote connection Panel is closed.
What could be the reason for this?

    Thank you
    Luxama

Oops... The method of 'Close links' to work correctly. I apologize for the error.

Regarding the issue of application crash, I did this close relationship, then wait a few milliseconds and then quit the VI. Today, the application seems to work very well.

In the meantime, I had another doubt. Is there a way to link to the application instead of a VI?

    Thank you
    Luxama

  • iCloud Pref. Crashes when called Via Spotlight

I just upgraded to 10.11.4 via the combo update, and this may or may not be the source of my problem, because I have not consulted iCloud prefs for awhile before today.

I usually access iCloud prefs Via Spotlight, and now, when I do, I get a crash report titled 'com.apple.preferences.icloud.remoteservice close unexpectedly. If I have very well the crash report, I enter iCloud prefs but I suspect that I have all of the features.

If I left the System Prefs and do the same thing again, I get the crash again. In this repeatable case, 100% of the time.

However, if I open the Prefs system first, either in the menu Apple or via Spotlight, I can then click on the tab "iCloud" and iCloud prefs open without the accident.

I tried to open 6 or 8 of the other System Prefs.panes directly via Spotlight and they all open very well. It seems that it is only iCloud Prefs which gives error opening directly via Spotlight.

I started in Safe Mode, a couple of times since the upgrade, and I also visited ~/Library/Preferences and ransacked everything with "icloud" in the name and restarted.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks to advamce,

    Steve =: ^)

It seems to be a bug in the latest system so report to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html

  • LabVIEW 2010 disappears when opening project

When I opened my project of LV, LV 2010 disappears without further notice. This can happen as well when LV is already started, when I open the project in Windows Explorer, or when the LV is not yet started. After a few tries then finally opens correctly.

What is the best procedure to get rid of this problem?

It seems that the problem is in the project file.

I suggest to create a new project file and re-import the screws and the different elements to recreate.

Let me know if it works.

    Kind regards

  • Anyone who has already seen this error when calling a dll? "Arbitrary.dll?"

Hey people, I enclose a jpg of the error I get whenever I try and load a vi whose subVIs call a 'library function call '.

"Double click call function I can check that the ' name of the library or the path ' is correct, and the function name is what I want.

I do not understand why it tells me I need to "Arbitrary.dll" - the name of the lib is adwgc.dll as shown in the path (I checked).

Anyone who deals with this error before?  I am naïve enough at the moment, any help will be appreciatized and surely kudo would be!

    Thank you

    -pat

    Edit-also, I'm using LV 2011

You get this error because adwgc.dll is responsible Arbitrary.dll because internally that whoever wrote adwgc.dll called a function in Arbitrary.dll. Is the only one with this problem to obtain Arbitrary.dll and place it in a folder that adwgc.dll can load it. Put it in the same folder as adwgc.dll should work.

Where did you get adwgc.dll to and are you sure they provide Arbitrary.dll as well?
