I accidentally deleted the administrator account in Windows 8. Now I'm unable to make changes to the system.

I can't allow built-in system administrator like now I have the rights to do this.

Is there another way to restore the administrator account?  Help, please!

    Thank you very much

    Yann H,

Thank you very much for your help. I did as instructed, even if it has not completely fixed the problem. So, I activated the built in Administrator and done a restore of the system to a point before I accidentally deleted the administrator accounts. Restarted once again and I have it back up and functioning normally.

    Once again, thank you.

The prompt that you get is the setting on your computer user account control. You can change the setting and use them according to your requirements and run programs in the standard account. See the below links for more details-

WARNING: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

    Method 2:

You can even use the steps below and check-

    1. right click on the program file , click on Properties.

    2. now click on compatibility and select run the program as administrator.

    3. now click on change settings for all users and click ok. Now, check to see if the problem resolves.

  • You use HP 4156 instrument with Labview 2010 in Windows 7

We recently bought Labview 2010 for Windows 7 and some software porting, we had on Labview 6.  These programs of control of two instruments: HP (Agilent) 4156A parameter Analyzer and the Keithley 7001 switch system.  When I looked for the drivers of instruments for these two systems, they were no longer available for Labview 2009 and associated NI-VISA 3.2 driver is not compatible with Windows 7.  You have any suggestions on how we can run Labview 2010 on Windows 7 with the ch (Agilent) 4156 A and Keithley 7001?

A pilot in 2009 can be loaded in 2010 and this is the minimum VISA version, you can use. You need not even the driver of instruments most recent. Just run your existing code.

  • Directions to the win XP home ADMIN rights.

Hi I'm Davie. I reinstalled win XP home on a friend's computer, everything is good, except when I try to install the dongle of vodaphone, right ADMIN denied? I can't seem to find the right ADMIN option, can help to aneyone.

The first step is to determine if you really have the Admin rights or not.  The quick test is to right click on the button 'start '. If one of the choices in the pop-up window is "Open All Users", then you have the Admin rights.

If you don't have administrator rights, you must log in as administrator.  On the screen, press Ctrl-Alt-Delete twice and enter in the user name box and the administrator password in the administrator password box.  If you have not assigned a password, then leave the password empty.

If you don't have administrator rights, then the problem is most likely a problem of access to a particular directory or registry entry.  Because this could be almost anything, you should probably contact the manufacturer of your dongle and work the problem with them.

  • Unable to gain admin rights and cannot do a restore

I've lost my admin to the standard rights. I tried to restore the computer in safe mode. I can't do anything at all because he says that I don't have the admin rights and communicate with my admin due to group policy. I was looking for things to the top and it doesn't let me do anything group policy and admin rights are gone. Also it does not let me start repair system or restore on a windows CD. This is to try to use the right windows installation cd. Any help will be appreciated. I thought to do a repair or restore I only need a windows installation cd and it does not matter what version it was.

Each installation of Windows has an active admin account at the beginning. You can't avoid it. What happened to yours?

You can easily run system restore using system repair your CD to start the machine in Repair Mode. No password is required.

When you're done, plan ahead a little and create, test and document a spare, even admin account that you have a spare House key. This will save you a lot of trouble.

  • Is there a way to make an EXE LabVIEW built on Windows XP on Windows 7?

I have a request that I build (LabVIEW 8.6) on Windows XP, that installs and works fine on other XP machines.  However, after installing it on a Windows 7 computer, I get an error stating that "The procedure entry point CsrNewThread could not be found in the dynamic link library ntdll.dll".  When I look at ntdll.dll (in C:\Windows\System32) with a tool dependency walker on XP, I see the CsrNewThread function listed, but its function is missing from the same DLL named on Windows 7.  So I guess that somewhere along the evolutionary line Windows this function has been removed from ntdll.dll.  My first instinct was to try overwirting ntdll.dll on the Windows 7 machine with one copied from my Windows XP computer.  However, our system administrator only gave me permission to replace this file on the Windows 7 machine.  I could ask him to give me this permission, but I'm not sure it's the best way to go anyway because the other programs in Windows 7 can use ntdll.dll.  I tried to copy the WIndows XP version of ntdll.dll in the local folder on the Windows 7 machine containing my LabVIEW application, but this has not fixed the problem.  And when I look at my application in the dependency walker tool, I see that he is always looking in the ntdll.dll file in the WIndows\System32 folder and not in my local folder.  Yes, is there a way to make an EXE LabVIEW built on Windows XP on Windows 7?  Or I have to do a version for Windows XP and one for Windows 7?  Still, I am using LabVIEW 8.6.

    Thank you

Keep in mind that LabVIEW 8.6 is not officially supported under Windows 7.  You may want to consider switching to less than LV2009.

I think you're GROUND (so outtat chance).

Generally, you can press F8 or F10 to choose what you want to boot from.  Depends on your system and the manufacturer.  If you can press F10 and select the CD/DVD drive, it should start.  Either that or get into the BIOS and make the CD/DVD the first boot device.

She still does not start, if the CD is good.

I hope this helps and good luck
