And yesterday, I received an email from Apple to congratulate me on "from my first discussion" when I have been posting years! What is going on?

• Exam question-value of the point and unanswered questions about the VCP4 exam?

  I have a few questions about the scoring to secure Channel 4 review system:

  1. All the questions on the exam are weighted the same?

  2. Is there a penalty for unanswered questions?  In other words, is it better to not answer a question, if you are sure that you do not know the answer, or take a guess if it comes down to it?

  Not responding not to an element, it is the same thing that answer wrongly as far as scoring is concerned, so it makes sense to guess rather than leave the question unanswered.

  With respect to the weighting, all elements have the same weight in the VCP exam, but some items do not count against the overall score.  These "dosed" items continually change and are chosen at random.  We insert elements assayed to determine the validity of the element until it became a party has received from the real exam.  If however, you want to treat each item with an equal amount of importance.

  I'm a little confused about what "unanswered question", which is present at the bottom of the homepage of each forum. Now, according to my understanding, this means it has not been answered. No response at all.

• LabVIEW licens questions

  First of all I'm not sure, this is the right forum for this question, but I couldn't find a more appropriate...

  My employer has some "Professional Development System" - LV licenses.

  I use one of them and I think it was called "No simultaneous" I understand I have LV installed on 3 different computers (home, work and cell phones, for example) but have only one active at a time.

  Issues related to the:

  1. the employer use Win7, I use Mac OS at home. The licens include LabVIEW no matter what operating system or is - this specific operating system?

  2. the employer uses a license server that I can not connect to the House. Is it safe to install LV at home by using the serial number connected to me?

  I don't know what are the exact rules for the different operating systems, so I'll defer on this issue.

  Regarding the home license, you can get your administrator make you a home license file.  Simply provide your ID of the computer that is located in the License Manager EITHER.  You can simply install this license file and you are good to go as long that the administrator gives you (usually somehow related to network license renewal).

• How to identify unanswered questions?

  Because I thought I had scored questions, answers, how can I know which ones are unanswered so I can mark the answers?

  If you click on the waterproof "Your Control Panel" link at the top, then click on 'Your Questions' on the top right of the resulting page, you should see your questions divided into two sections - pending and resolved.

  now all my parcels have the X in the right position. Can I turn to the left?

  If I cancel the side looks ok but the legend of the X X won't (because its negative results).

  I have haave seen OR often in the programs that they have a stop and run button.

  How can I implement this?

  the program runs all the time... with start I start the task and with stop I complete the task (but the program will still work)

  I have only yfound the Funcction 'Stop' but it cancel the entire session.

  Back to posters questions.  Yes, do not what you code does.  Try what I've attached.  It is your program with some improvements.  I think that the feature must be the same.  Just click Run once.  Then, when you want to run, click on the Start button.  To stop click the stop key once again, or if the condition is met that normally would stop the VI arrives, it stops on its own.  Also, to stop the application click on the close button (the X red) as a normal program.  Of course if a test runs that the judgment will be ignored until the test ends.  You can add your own test button to give up if you wish.

  Any other general comments.  Do not use the dynamic data types, do not use screw express and DAQ Assistant.  Do not make the block diagram have to scroll in more than one direction.  Do not run continuously.  Do not use the button of toolbar to Abort VI or primitive.

• Writing LabVIEW visa question

  I have an instrument with rs232 interface, when I use the UartAssist tool to send the command, the instrument could receive successfully.

  but, when I start my labview application to use visa control and send the order exactly the same, there is no response.

  I trace the error in my control, there is no error after the send (successful submission) command, but the instrument has no answer.

  I do not know baud rate and other configuration is good, why the device cannot answer?

  BTW, I try to use HyperTerminal to send the same command, the instrument can answer too...

  I would say it is probably a Yes.

  The most likely cause here is a matter of simple termination. Most of the series commands must end by one or more characters. It varies depending on the instrument to the instrument, but it is usually a carriage return. You will need to check the programming of your instrument manual to determine what is this character and add this character of the chain of command. Individual character constants are available in the palette of the chain, the bottom row.

  No worries, no worries. It is good to ask questions about the basic assumptions, especially if you are about to embark on a major project. What you have described is quite feasible. If you are having problems, it'll be because of server or hyperlinks issues (rather than anything intrinsic to Captivate).

• Preliminary questionnaire of unanswered questions

  My customer noticed that if he clicks on the button submit in any question quiz given, the slide advances even if he did answer the question yet. It was a special request of sound that the trainee is required to take every single quiz question. I had fixed to "answer them all - the user must answer each question to continue." I figured it would give me the requested feature. But after his e-mail I tested it and of course, it advances no response if I click Send. So, I went back and changed the setting of "Necessary - the user must take the quiz to continue" hoping it would work, but it changed nothing.

  Am I missing a setting somewhere?

  I just did a quick test on this issue.  It seems that if you have incomplete legend turned off AND you have Correct and Incorrect captions off as well, so if user does not answer the question and click on the "submit" button, they will be wrong on this issue but don't get any warning.  So even if it looks like they spend just the question, what is happening actually is that their answer is NO was marked as an incorrect answer.

  Then, as I mentioned above, if you want to be told that they need answering the question before you continue, you MUST have this incomplete caption turned on.

  Hi, I looked through the last months of questions and do not exactly my problem.

  I have a Captivate 4 linear project and has questions (without partitions reported to LMS) throughout to reinforce learning.

  When a learner gets to an item in the series of quizzes and wants to return to a previous content slide (with OCD or arrow to the left on the navigation bar - I don't have arrow to the left of the Question slide itself.) they cannot return to the issue and take it. The question seems to be locked up and they get the error message below. It is a question that they never tried.

  

  I am not a "back button" on the issue because I don't encourage that, but I on the parameters of the Quiz "allowing travel to the rear. If the problem will be solved, then I'll add this button. I was wondering if there is another setting that I can change.

  This is the incomplete feedback message by default.  I would check the number of attempts for the quiz.  I believe that if they leave the slide he woud be like jump, which is like a bad response. Which can cause the quiz to be omitted.  Have you checked the tab of failure pass under preferences of quiz as well?

  I worked on tablespace temp for the last 4 days some of the question which are not clear about the temporary space
  (1) why is it that for optimal performance, the UNIFORM SIZE must be a multiple of the parameter SORT_AREA_SIZE if SORT_AREA_SIZE 4 m and ONE SIZE 32 m what impact on the reason for the performance
  (2) can be used in10g retractable or 11 g for the temp tablespace command
  (3) MAXSIZE UNLIMITED when I put this time deposited 32 GB it triggered error. Unlimited average as long as physical space is available it must measure but that's not why this limitation. It is the only one associated with the file temp or same problem occur if the data file size 32 GB?
  (4) if I know that my application to do a lot to sort out what is the best way to set up the temporary tablespace so that I don't up space error finished
  (5) ORA-01652: unable to extend temp by 4096 segment in tablespace TEMP this error occurs when I load the data using my application

  I know VERY less, probably less when it comes to this forum. I know that just O of Oracle.I can not tell how long you take to learn Oracle as it depends on many things, how you study, focus, practice and above all, how much less you think you know. Because I meet a lot of people who think they know too that leaves no space for an extra addition of knowledge :-). I know really very low.

  If I use the LARGE folder to create a temporary space that doesn't solved my problem because I just read in the documentation if your block size is 8 k and OS 32-bit Platte basic form, you can size of 32 TB file. Using this approach I can fix this error condition
  Yes, bigfile can ovecome your space issue. But that could be cure a symptom. The real problem, is that why you do so much sorting that is not able to accommodate itself in memory and is traded on the disk. You should check with your queries and see if you can avoid some unnecessary sorts or things PGA.

  You have the Firefox menu in the upper left corner? If you do, all you have to do is press Alt to temporarily activate the other menus. Which will give you access to the Tools menu.

  If you want these menus to be available at all times, you can go to Firefox > Options and activate the menu bar.

• Labview Newbie question: Table of clusters

  3: I'm a programmer capable enough, but it is in the textual languages. ;-)

  I have a sensor that contains 4 channels of power. I need to keep all 4 active channels, but I want to choose one of them to the chart at any given time. The data from the driver OR hardware comes in form of table of 2 elements 1 x 4 clusters.

  Normally, I had just index for the item in table 1 x 4 and feed on this cluster to the right graphic tool, but I'm missing something. I had a display of the sample driver NI of VI element, but anytime I insert blocks between the stream and the graphic I get errors "bad connection".

  I've been googling and book-research for several days now, nothing helps, I'd appreciate any help in this matter.

  Use the Index table funtion in the palette of Array.  Wire in the index number of the wave that you want to display.
