  Hi all. I recently finished writing a dll CUDA for LabView, and now I'm in the steps of optimization of code, memory management, etc. BUT since my code depends on the entries of Labview (lots of data under types of specific data as table manages and Clusters labview) I can't use the CUDA Profiler or the Profiler VC ++ on the DLL. What I intend to do runs labview and then out of all data entry for the DLL in a binary file and then add an additional function in my code that will read in the binary file, allocate and assign variables to their respective positions, and then call the specific DLL function in Labview. In the end, this miniature function will act as the library function call to my specific group of data entries.

  In any case, I started to make this purchase all my data entry of cluster and it comes out in a binary file. And then I started the initialization of the handles of labview, allocating memory and begins to write the binary data in the memory and it works for integers (ints), floats, etc., but I'm confused on how it works with table handles!

  However, my program crashes when the table is nominally big, and it is expected, because if we look at the Array1dHandle, it has allocated only enough memory to 1 item of value! YET, somehow, in its magical and mysterious labview is capable of making val [1] be val [HOWEVERMANYYOUWANT], even if C++ 101 says that val [1] is a constant pointer, and even if I dynamically allocated memory another somwhere, I would never be able to put these data in this round!

  Can you explain, or maybe even write example on how I can fool my program into thinking that the binary code comes from labview, so I can then run my program independent of allowing me to profile the functions inside labview?

  I hope that this question is clear and my sample code is also clear, but I'm happy to answer any questions that relate to this.

  Well enough, you will need to make the handle, and then make a new Array1dInt * for him, then read in the length of the array in a temporary variable.   I have a grey Chameleon usb camera point.  I've given up have labview to connect to the camera by IMAQ USB because it won't recognize it (issues witht the drivers and I think point grey to work on this issue).  I have writtern a routine control of the mouse for control program and give me my images you want.  I am trying to take these images and averaged 5 images.  I can if I use the .raw image, but it has only the intensity of the pixels and no color information.  The only format of the camera outputs is that a color uncompressed image portable pixelmap (.ppm).  Unfortunately, LabVIEW does not recognize this format.  I would like to either change the file to a TIFF not compressed or do change the image of an array of 8-bit unsigned integers 2D.  Any help is appreciated.

  Hello. niajel.dll corresponds to the NOR-TClk, although NEITHER-HSDIO does not specifically use it. You use certain functions TClk?

• Fluke Hydra 2625 with NI LabVIEW drivers: can not read the output data

  I work with a Fluke Hydra data logger 2625 have downloaded the drivers from NI LabVIEW, crossed the config., initialize and modes files and now trying to read data from a thermocouple.

  Initially, I was getting an error message ("17" I think) but now, after correcting the port numbers, the recorder data and LabVIEW seem to communicate without error. I would like to know where I should look (in the panels before different drivers) for temperature data output.

  There is a driver not supported here. I have the instrument and you have not used one in quite a few years, but if using the example, the function can be set to temperature temperature with the 751 RTD or thermocouple. The results indicators min/max/last.

  The pilot could really benefit from a full rewrite, but it seems that most of the basic functions are there.

  Probably there is an incredibly simple solution to what I'll be embarrassed to hear. I recently had a computer because of a junk motherboard error. I backed up all my files from LabVIEW, vi and vi and load them onto a new machine. Now my vi cannot open because they cannot locate the Subvi DAQmx. I installed the same software DAQmx I had used previously, but still can't seem to recover from the Subvi to run my program. These are the only things that are missing. Help, please!

• How a LabVIEW application can be run from the account invited in Windows 7?

  I want to do some of my labVIEW available visitors to temporary applications (no DAQ or involved external devices) in the laboratory. A natural choice would be the guest account in Windows 7, but if I try to run LabVIEW or one of my LabVIEW applications built, I get the following error message.

  

  I don't know that this can probably be fixed with a few permission settings. What is the best way to enable these applications running from the guest account?

  I think that the easiest thing would be to create another user account and set the permissions on that if guests are unable to get into the stuff you don't want them getting into.

  I just installed labview 8.5 for linux on Ubuntu 8.4 machine, but launches the sw, I get the message:

  I checked in/usr/lib and the most recent version of the libstdc ++. so.6 is present, so I don't understand why it is not possible to locate the library...

  Try to make a link (symbolic) called libstdc ++. so.5 pointing to libstdc ++. so.6. Now, I don't know how the sudo thing in Ububububu, I use another distro, but I think it should look like this:

  sudo ln-s /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 /us/lib/libstdc++.so.5

  Note, that the library is a slightly newer version, I can't guarantee full compatibility to the rear. But it's worth a shot right?

  I was prompted to install the app, I just wrote is basically a VISA fantasy on Mac serial port interface. customer however, I have only the experience of PC and I built the application on a PC, and we only have versions of PC LabVIEW here... I can't find this info on the developerzone of ni.com.

  Also - if possible, a MAC managing COM ports in the same way as a PC?

  You must first MAC of LV version and a MAC to build an app for Mac.

  Since you are using VISA I think, but have no experience with it, it works the same. The alias file should translate the VISA ASLRx::INSTR resource in the name of the correct system port. You really use VISA resource names in your program, and not the names of system. Using COM1 for the Init.vi Serial Port will fail maybe on a Mac.

  Okay, now I have what I consider to be an "acceptable" solution showing the R, G and B had an Image color.  He doesn't require a "pixel-by-pixel" approach that I posted yesterday, but works directly with color plans you get the RGB image splitting in his 3 grey U8 images.

  I enclose a demo project that I saved in LabVIEW 2012.  It is quite rudimentary - you provide a picture (I used the Microsoft sample pictures folder Desert.jpg) and it shows you the Image and the red, green and blue color had.  A switch allows you to view the plans of color and the scales of gray U8 (very easy), but also allows you to consider the R, G and B channels of color (a little harder to do).  In the latter case, the Image is, indeed, not the original Image, but the Image resulting from recombination R + G + B.

  For this image to 1024 x 768 pixels, decomposition and display three color plans updated to (I estimate here) 100 times per second.  When using the gray scales, it was about 20 times faster (note that color requires make first of all the gray scale, as well as each resulting image R, G and B requires 4 bytes instead of 1 byte per pixel).

  Here is the front - note that the blue channel has almost nothing except 'sky', while the reddish rocks are particularly acute in the red channel.

  What you reinstall? The dll is part of the traditional DAQ driver.

  I'm starting with a CompactRIO of programming. Yesterday, I had a lot of trouble getting just the CompactRIO to show to connect NI MAX, but now that it is connected to LabVIEW still can not find.   In LabVIEW, the wire is the variable. The way in which you pass parameters to the functions (subvis) is with a wire through the side of the connector. Ditto to return results.

  Forget that local variables exist! Many new programmers come from a text based programming background discover local and global LabVIEW variables far too early. As the tape, they can be useful. But it is possible to write huge complex applications without touching. And the code is much simpler than the programs less complexity that use local and global variables.

  Since you are new to LabVIEW, you can become a very good programmer if you keep the following in mind. It's a little confusing, but "local variables" and "global variables" are not really variables in labVIEW as they are in Java. The sons are the variables. These things from the rectangle, you create controls or indicators look more like a function for the control or the indicator. They cannot exist without an owner indicator or a control; It is unfortunate that they are called variables, but they are a relic of the stone age when the code was carved in the walls of the cave.
