Lack of exit Realtek Audio in Device Manager

Recently, I noticed that my laptop no longer plays sound through speakers or headphones. The icon indicates that there is "no speakers or headphones connected.

I checked the sound settings, and Realtek audio output (I don't remember the exact name of the device) was absent. So I went to the Device Manager and the only thing under Sound is the ATI high definition Audio Device. I'm not using HDMI is not what I'm looking for.

Support Windows told me to re - install the drivers my computer manufacturer Realtek, but I got the drivers for the device Realtek Acer Recovery Manager and re-installed them. My sound still does not work. For good measure, I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers directly from the Web to Realtek site, but no improvement.

I'm really running out of options here, given that Windows basically told me that they could not do much to help me. I hope that someone here could help me understand what the problem with my laptop.

My laptop is an Acer Aspire 5542 running Windows 7 Edition Home Premium, 64-bit.

Thank you.

Thank you very much for your quick responses! I was about to follow your instructions to start Windows re - install something. For some reason any, he decided at the time of re - install the driver, so my audio is fixed, and it appears in the device again Manager. I have no idea of what has past (Windows Update did nothing), but my problem is corrected now I was scared, it was a hardware problem, but I guess it wasn't. I'll give Kudos to you for your help, always ^^ thank you!

I have disabled the Intel high definition HDMI audio device manager.  He retired from the list of items leaving only speakers.  I have the 'show disabled and disconnected devices' checked, but Intel HDMI high definition does not appear.   It is said that it works correctly and enabled in the Device Manager.  I have tried everything I can think of to solve the problem, including a system restore that did not work, any other ideas?   Thank you.

So I have a few questions...

I have therefore (!) 4 nvidia audio 1 audio realtek hd and hd.
I usually update my nvidia and nvidia hd audio driver video driver is updated every time with her.

But not long ago, I decided to find some other updates of my drivers, toshiba cause bloody (we call it that way in Russia) is too lazy to support their laptops. And [found this: (realtek hd R2.70 driver codec) | http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=24&PFid=24&Level= 4 & Conn = 3 & DownTypeID = 3 & GetDown = false].

Installed everything works fine so far. It's for realtek alc269 (and also many other features, but for us only alc269 questions) which is the real name of realtek hd audio device in x 770 laptop computers (I checked in program aida64, formerly everest).

    The questions are:

    1. why I have FOUR devices hd audio from nvidia in Device Manager?

    2. How can I make my primary audio device nvidia hd audio? Or maybe they are a kind of virtual devices or smth like that.

    3. do you think that it was a bad idea to install the driver directly from realtek website? There is a warning on its website: to ensure that you get the full features/customizations provided in audio of origin of the product, please download the latest drivers from your system/motherboard manufacturer's Web site.

So I invite you to test this audio driver with me :)

    And a few other things.
In a topic, I found this info:, myself and other users of this forum have overclocked their cards of 657/1300/1200 to 800/900/1600 and are very satisfied with the results, so try to not not overexaggerate
(this is a quote). So, I'll be happy if someone gives me a link to a sort of manual any overclocking 560 m gt from our beloved x 770.

Also, I found many topics on the drivers from nvidia with angry customers. I don't remember when I've been updated video drivers, but I've never had problems with them. When the situation has changed? As far as I can understand in 2011 you could ' t install drivers nvidia directly from the nvidia site.

P.S. Sorry for my English, I'm from the Russia. There are also a few Russian on the screenshots, hope that's not your eyes bleed.

    Hello

    > 1. Why I have FOUR devices hd audio from nvidia in Device Manager?
I guess these four audio devices are owned by graphics chip (nVidia) controller and they are essential to control the HDMI, spdif, etc.
    So nothing wrong here.

    > How can I make my primary audio device of the nvidia hd audio?
I put t understand why you want to do a primary device?
What is the purpose for this?

If you wish, you can set audio device as the default device in Control Panel-> Sound-> reading tab
Click on the device and choose default.

    > 3. Don't you think that it was a bad idea to install the driver directly from realtek website?
You can use the driver from Realtek as the Realtek sound chip.

  • "No audio output device is installed" no sound, video controller and game on the Device Manager section,.

my laptop has no sound, it says no audio installed and the speaker symbol has a red cross on it. I tired all help but nothings worked, and the thing to fix auto could not fix. The Device Manager there is not even a sound, video, game controller section. Sometimes when I put into hibernation and back on I have sound and everything works fine (except when I run itunes and it stops again), but I say that I have no audio device again to restart the laptop. I have the vista updates this. All ideas

    Thank you

I had the same problem with my Compaq F700 series laptop. His was a work day and does not not the other. I couldn't use most of the patches because they need to have the tab of sound, video, game available and also lacked this tab.

I tried to do system restore and rolling it back, but the problem has not been resolved. What finally worked was restoring the system to a MUCH earlier date, as one month before the problem. When finished restoring the sound was still not fixed. HOWEVER, the computer OS (WINDOWS 7) necessary to re - install a bunch of updates and after the updates have been installed, everything worked. I suspect that the original problem was a bad update (I.e. has not installed correctly) and one to ride the system goes back to a time before the bad update and then re-installing the update was the fix.
That said, if the restore option does not or cannot be I would try searching through the Add/Remove programs in the control panel to uninstall the updates of the system, and then restart the computer and let updated them, re - install.
    Good luck
  • [Beginner] Reference Dell Audio and SD Realtek Audio Manager

    Hello world!

A few days ago, I bought my first Dell: it's an Inspiron 15 3537. So far so good. Installed Windows 7 64 bit and some drivers, including ALC3223 Realtek High-Definition Audio Driver. Now, the sound is perfect when it's speakers, but all the times that no matter what sound plays on the helmet (the portable computer has a combo Jack), he is very strong and there is a unpleasant noise. If there is no sounds play, after a few seconds, the noise stops. (edit) The gentle sound remains the same regardless of the volume and does not grow stronger if the volume is turned up.

I tried to adjust things in the sound menu, searched for solutions online and my best bet would have been accessing the Realtek audio Manager.

But after installing the latest driver Realtek, I get only Audio from Dell, and it isn't much help. Looking for a Realtek in the control panel or in folders only leads to the Audio from Dell. Here, I discovered why the strange whistling sound in the headphones will stop when no sounds are played, but I can't find anything to make the noise go away:

What the Dell? While I hoped something like this (taken from the internet):

So, can someone tell me why my laptop is Dell Audio when I install Realtek driver? Can I "non-Dell' Realtek Audio Manager on my laptop? And suggestions to reduce the background noise in the headphones?

Hello. Dell and Realtek replaced the DD Realtek Audio Manager with Dell's Audio Manager on Dell laptops. I don't know why. The DD Realtek Audio Manager can provide a separate headphone and speakers, volume control while the Dell version can not. Several people have reported that even when they download & install a driver directly from Realtek site, Dell Manager returns. I do not know how to defeat that (I don't have Realtek on my laptop and not the one who has it posted a method).

You can use an online with the headphone volume control. My Latitude with IDT is not the problem of the headphone volume a lot of laptops from Realtek, but I use Koss control just because it's convenient. It's a short extension for headphones with a cursor of volume built in mitigation.

Regarding the drivers, Dell has only one for your model out for Win7. The only other drivers Realtek would be on the Realtek site. You can also use the native Windows audio driver. To switch to it from the Realtek, follow these steps:

    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press ENTER).
    2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
    8. click on "next".
    9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
[To return to the Realtek driver, do it again but reverse the names in steps 1-6.]

If you still get the hissing or background noise with the native driver, then it is almost certainly in the material. If the noises disappear when you use the native driver, then they are caused by the driver from Realtek.

  • Device Manager - unknown device + Hig Defintion Audio Device (Point of Exclamation)

    Hello

I hope that someone can help you. The hard drive on my laptop of HP ENVY TS 15 (product number: E3S19UA #ABA) out crapped and I reinstalled Windows Enterprise 8.1. I downloaded and installed all the drivers from the HP website. When I look at the Panel, I have an "unknown device" and in the audio, video and game controllers, I have an exclamation mark next to the high definition Audio Device.

I installed the HP Support Assistant and let it do its thing. That has not fixed the problem. When I look at the properties for the unknown device, I see the following in detail: "ACPI\HPQ6007\3 & 11583659 & 0" regarding high definition Audio, I see the following in the general tab:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

    {Operation failed}
    The requested operation failed.

When I try to update the driver software fo the High Definition Audio, I get a message that "Windows has determined the software driver for your device is up to date.

Don't know where to go from here. Any help or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    -Val

    You are the very welcome.

This is defininitely the driver you need and you need to install it manually.

    Run the driver again.

Go to Device Manager and click on the unknown device needing driver.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.  Select Browse my computer for driver software, and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the driver.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp66078.  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

If this does not work, then back to her browse my computer for driver software window and then select Let me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer option, then select Have Disk and browse to: C:\SWSetup\sp66078\InstallFiles\Win8_1\accelerometer and select the HP Mobile Data Protection sensor from the list and see if the pilot goes like this.

The HD audio device is the audio device Intel HDMI which could not install when you ran the graphics driver, so run it again and if it does not install, manually install the driver using the same procedure that I posted to the 3D driveguard.

If it doesn't, then I remove the driver and tell you where to get the driver from, as I did for the above device.

    Hello

I was hoping that the main issue was in the BIOS but it is also why I posted links to Dell
Support and their forums because he may be known issues with your model.

Check this click - Device Manager - anywhere in the area in white/white - and then VIEW - chech to see the

    -----------------------------------------------------------------

    If necessary:

Try an InPlace upgrade or repair Installation to see if your audio device can be reset.
If so it would probably be a good idea to update or re - install the latest drivers.

  • No sound: no audio output device is installed. no choice of audio device in Device Manager.

I started my pc windows 7 today like any other day, and he has not played the music to start. Then I looked at the volume icon in the corner and there was a big red X on the speaker symbol. I go over it and it displays the message "no audio output device is installed". I was confused, so I went to check the Device Manager and there is no sound Devices(or whatever it is called) tab. I then restarted my computer 3 times and still have no sound. I would try a system restore, but I can't choose restore points after the first start I did this morning. My sound card is a card for the Asus M2N - SLI. Any Suggestions?

It seems that the Audio drivers are deleted or removed from the computer. I tried to check for audio drivers for your card mother M2N SLI and could not find drivers Audio in Windows 7. Access the link below and download the Audio drivers for Windows Vista and install it.
