Lack of media online in Vista Media Center

Shortly after the 20 updates in mid-December (updates and office), I noticed that I could access is more programs-> more tasks online media. This is where links to live365 and other online options used to exist. Now, all say "no content available. I suspect a link between updates and this loss of functionality in Vista Media Center.  I can always access online in 2005, Media center, so it's Vista specific. Can anyone help? Thank you.

    Hello

I was wondering if there are all the other channels internet / online that I can get for Vista Media Center?

I have about 9 at the moment and would be like preferby for free. I do not have satellite or cable tv so want those online, is there any where I can get a sky without a satellite dish as prison breaks soon.

    Enjoy your weekend.

    Ian

I don t think you will be able to find a free channel Sky One in the internet.
But I'm not an expert m and this is only my personal opinion.
If you don t have a satellite or cable TV, you could buy a DVB - T TV tuner, and maybe then you will be able to receive more channels TV using MCE ;)

  • The upgrade of Vista (32) for Vista 64 on m8120n (Media Center PC)

I want to improve my PC Media Center of Vista Vista 64.  I noticed that HP has the drivers for Vista 64 on the site, very cool.  Is there anything else I should be aware of when you do?

Is it possible to dual boot between Vista and Vista 64?

I do it mainly to take advantage of the 8 GB of RAM, I use in Vista.  I have run a large number of VM and you can always use more memory.

    Thank you.

The first thing to do is to make sure that you have all the drivers for your motherboard and all your external devices, in particular wireless adapter if you use one, The 64 - bit drivers for additional cards are not always easy to find.

    Make an HP restore disc.

    If you know how to make a picture of two partitions on your hard drive. This will allow you to restore your system to the exact state, {(avec tous les programmes et données intactes) it was before you changed it.}

Dual-Boot and even quad-boot is easy to do. Note that start between a 64 bit OS and a 32 bit OS is delicate due to the boot manager that uses Vista. There are a lot of upgradings on how to do it online. Here's a search with your query as the topic. Simply use the search engine of your choice to find.

  • Current do not install the update to Vista Media Center (KB960544)

I would appreciate much information on how to deal with a recurring problem of the automatic Windows Update: "Cumulative Update for Media Center for Windows Vista (KB960544)."

Since the beginning of February 2009, whenever I start my computer, I get a notice that the update above tried and impossible to install.  The notice made reference to "Error Code 80073701"

My operating system is Vista Home Premium (OEM), and whenever I turned off the computer, an application of the computer power off not because an update is the installation appears on the screen of the monitor.  However, when the computer is started, this update was not installed.  Until this problem appeared, I had no problem with the other, automatic updates, and even now, other updates have been installed, without difficulty.

I crossed the procedures recommended for troubleshooting and the Knowledge Base of Vista and tried to install the update file that is available online.  But no luck.

Someone else has experience this problem?  If so, and you have any suggestions, thank you very much for your kind cooperation.

the card and the drivers with and without the software. Here is a copy of a report of error 1001

    Hi Davidn4,

Thanks for posting on answers.microsoft.com community forum.

    An event that I did research I found this instance occurred on another system, and this is what has been the instance;

    "

Whenever you select live TV in Windows Media Center, it is as he tries to access the TV tuner card, but it times out. I have the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR150, Media Center Kit for the PCI slot. When she finally leaves tries to display the TV it says "Decoder error" and "video decoder is either defective or is not installed." Restart the computer or Windows Media Center. "

    "

Because your system is not allowing the error before the reading of the reboot of the system.

We download the Vista decoder for and then try it to run your process again.

Here's a general link for set-top boxes, however, you can go to the website of cards and looking for the decoder from here or try a search online because it is decoder Vista.  Don't forget no decoders are not usually created by Microsoft, and we can not guarantee the results of third party downloads or the stability of your system after such a transfer, so be careful when downloading from other sites.

Please let us know if there are any necessary information or if that solves the problem.

Thanks again for posting on our forum.

I like to use Windows Media Center online media, but it has stopped working.  When I click on a video of MSNBC all this is idle as if his will load but the video never starts.  In January I had to install a new anti-virus program. Could he be playing with my media center?  Also would it be my wireless connection? I live in a dorm, and everyone here has said that the connection was slow.  HELP Please!

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

  • Vista Media Center DVD Player not to return to previous position

    Hello and thanks.

I have Vista Ultimate and I dive into the wonder that is Vista Media Center. It has a great feature! However, one of the points I noticed that lack is the DVD player does not playback from the previous position. As far as I know, there is no option in the GUI. In a spirit of clarity, let me give body to what I mean:

If I play a DVD movie and stop it in half way through and close Vista Media Center, then restarts VMC and DVD playback, the DVD starts from the beginning and not the position that I stopped. It is not only boring, it is a feature of all the other DVD players I have used offers.

So, my question is this: How can I activate previous position reading recovery in VMC?

    Hi AShimon,

Thank you for visiting Windows Vista Microsoft answers forum.

There is no option in Windows Vista Media Center to resume playback where you left off, after the closure of the Media Center.

However, I will propose you to pause the video you play and then lock the computer if you do not use or else you can also continue to work on the computer after pausing the video. Whenever you want to watch the video from where you paused just click on the 'play' button.

Please let us know if it helps.

    Thank you and best regards,
    David

  • Pavilion Media Center 8050Cla needs Vista reinstalled from D (recovery)

I need to go back to factory State because someone has installed Windows 7 while I was absent and it is an illegitimate copy. I can only access D using an emergency boot disk that I created while Vista was still there. However, that seems to work. He invites me to look for BONES and I say Yes and she finds Vista C Windows 7 and D. I select D and it starts the recovery, but wants 'fix' but I want to install. More he says I will be repairing Windows 7 (maybe that's the name of Volume of C?) and asks him to choose me a user or administrator. Those running under Windows 7. Does it matter? I do not know the Admin password if there a.

Well, that's when I stepped back. I stopped before selecting a user. Any advice? D is not seen in the boot parameters or the recovery of Windows in the Control Panel, just through this DVD of Paragon, I did. Oh, also, if I have it works, no idea if Media Center will be part of the reinstall? Appreciate the advice.

You can try typing the key 'F' used to 'Recovery' immediately after turning on the computer. This may invoke the "HP Recovery" partition which can return the computer to a factory State. Alternatively, you can try to use the Windows Disk Management Console to mark or set the HP Recovery partition as active and restart your computer. Please see HP - partitioning and names of hard drives (Windows 7) for more information on using the Windows Disk Management Console. After reboot, the computer should start HP recovery process. After retrieving a factory like the computer state, you should be able to create your personal HP recovery discs if you have not already done so.

Both of these methods require that the computer still has the "D:\". "Intact and unaltered HP recovery partition. If none of these methods work, you will need to contact support HP customer or third party provider ComputerSurgeons.com to the order of HP recovery disks.

  • Qosmio G50 - cannot install the FM Tuner in Windows Vista Media Center?

Can someone help me get the most out of Windows Vista media center with my new Qosmio G50.

There is a tuner inside this laptop and I have the antenna and its plugged in. The drivers all seem to be installed but WMC tells me that I don't have the hardware to run FM stations and I can't make it work. Also, I can't record library but although I can't watch TV no problem at all.

Someone out there have the answer?

    Hello

Are you sure that your equipped G50 FM tuner to 100%?

As I know a few models of G50 has been equipped with a tuner TV with antenna TV port that allows to connect a coaxial cable to this port to watch a TV program and then save.
But as I said earlier, this feature is not included with all models of G50.

Sorry, but I didn't find any info regarding the FM tuner.

  • HP DVD Play - Vista Media Center: blue border

Hi, I have a HP Slimline s3330f media center (VMC) vista, running HP DVD Play (v2.42 build 5820).  He plays the Blu - ray.  I connected it to the TV via HDMI and I have audio digital (S/PDIF) goes directly from s3330f to my digital receiver.

Discs Blu - ray play well as VMC when I select the item 'HP DVD Play' to the Ribbon of VMC.  The problem is that there is a blue border around the movie.  It's as if the movie does not play in full screen (it has a blue border of 2 ").  Now, I know that this blue border is the VMC screen in the background.  Also, as a test, I stopped VMC and launched HP DVD Play directly to play a blu - ray movie - it works perfectly.

No idea how to get rid of the blue border (in other words, do read HP use DVD full screen when VMC is running)?

    Notes:

Installation VMC - to use a big TV flat screen

    -VMC is configured as 1080i

-nvidia drivers are installed at 1920 x 1080 resolution

nvidia drivers - are configured to use HDTV 1080i (and I also tried 1080 p, 1080 p/24, same result).

OK, I seem to have solved the problem.  However, I made a few changes and I don't know exactly what the change really solved the problem.  Here's what I did:

-upgrade to the latest Nvidia drivers

-deleted the Realtek audio drivers and reverted back to the default value of Microsoft HD Audio drivers (this, BTW, although DD 5.1 to work via S/PDIF)

-implementation of the registry changes (see here: http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/thread/278165.aspx )

-re-installed HP DVD Play (latest version)

I suspect it's the registry changes that solved the problem.
