Lack of Move Content-Aware, Patch tool, etc.

Hello

I can not find the patch tool, or tools move Content-Aware. Tutorials I've read online say that they are under the Spot Healing Brush tool options, but I have no options here at all if I right click on it.

I just downloaded Photoshop CC on Windows 10, so this is the latest version. Can you please let me know what I am doing wrong?

Thank you

Looks like you have customized your tool palette. Look in the tools edit dialog box.

  • Hi I am currently subscribed to PS CC but I don't think I have the latest version.  I believe this because I do not get the new Welcome screen and no new feature as structure and color in the content aware patch tool.  I checked for you

Hi I currently have a subscription to the CC PS, but I don't think I have the latest version.  I think this because I don't you the new Welcome screen and do not have new features such as the structure and color in the content aware patch tool.  I checked the updates and it tells me I have the current version.  I check in PS I version 14.2.1.  I also have CS6 installed on my PC, it could be somehow be do something or I'm doing something wrong.  Anyone have any suggestions.

  • Where the content aware patch

And why should it take so long to get this basic information? As Photoshop has improved, he's help got much poorer. I'm considering the purchase of cs6, but trying to learn how to use all the new features is stupidly difficult. I saw another video of a geek PS showing how he could use the content aware patch - in fact, he SAID he'd show it but just quickly used in the video while muttering maybe 3 words and then began to show the MOVE tool. At NO TIME the tools was trying to learn how to use one via this video would be impossible. Stupid is that? I'm sorry, I just get very frustrated, online help. I see no evidence of the good old fashioned of the help file that was so complete and so easy to find in earlier versions.

Hi - I'm sorry that you have had a bad experience in access help. Below, I've provided a very short tutorial on the new tool sensitive to the content of the Patch, and I have provided additional resources for you take a look at.

By default, the patch tool located under the Spot Healing Brush tool:

To use the patch tool, simply draw around the area of your image you want to delete. Then, just drag your selection to an area of your picture that you want to "patch" the selection with. It might take a bit of putsing around to get a perfect result, but it's a pretty quick and fun to use tool.

If you want to learn more about the new features that support the CS6 content (including the Patch tool), here is a quick tutorial video. I hope this isn't the one you were referencing

    Some additional resources:

If you want more specific information, you can always post in the forum Photoshop for beginners , or for more advanced questions, you can go to the General Photoshop Discussion forum.

I hope that this provided a little more help. Please feel free to post here again if you have any additional questions.

    See you soon!

  • Where is the tool move Content-Aware? [was: why the tools of photoshop do not match the tutorials?]

I just purchased & downloaded creative cloud and working on the Photoshop tutorials.  The tools in the menu on the left do not match the first tutorials shown.   The tutorial wants to choose the Content-Aware tool displacement (nested under the Spot Healing brush), but the tool at this place on my tool bar is the spot Healing Brush tool.

Have I not bad tutorials (who opened for download) or toolbar evil?

    Thank you!

Have you tried clicking and held on the Spot Healing Brush until the menu pops up revealing the tools below?

  • Photoshop CC content - aware removal tool causes the crash

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? Move to content aware tool causes crash every time so far with tiff and JPEG, and it becomes frustrating!

I have Windows Pro 8.1 with 8 GB of RAM

NVIDIA GeForce GT 650 M graphics card

    Photoshop 64-bit CC

OK, so after much google search, I couldn't find a way to fix the dll file. I uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop - problem solved

  • Content-Aware removal tool no longer works.

Background: I use Windows 7.  I recently started using Lightroom (downloaded 5.5 64 bit a few days ago).  I edited a photo in there, it has exported, open in Photoshop 64 bit CC. My goal was to remove a post with the tool move taking in charge the content and an extra layer.  Initially, it worked as he usually does.  However, I tried to do the same thing with another photo and he began to say 'selected area is empty', even when I got my new layer selected, forcing me to make my changes to the background layer. I tried to open all file types: CR2, TIFF, JPEG, PSD, including photos that I know don't were never edited in Lightroom and which I had already been able to use this tool on.  Photoshop is not allow me to use the move tool sensitive to content on any layer outside the background in any of these formats.

In addition, it is no longer performs an automated dosing based on the surrounding area, when I delete the content that I moved.  Sometimes it gives me a window to "Fill" (how I can manually select "Content Aware") or it gives me no choice and simply deletes the selected area, including the background behind it.

I tried to restart the programs with no luck.

Any help would be appreciated as it has pretty well stopped by ability to work. Thank you!

In the PSD linked, above, the active layer is empty and so a message on the warning: no selected pixel is appropriate:

The cam and the CAF work fine if I do them on the layer with pixels, the background layer or if I promote the background layer.

The cam and the CAF work very well on the empty layer if she select sample all layers:

I hope to have sample all layers not checked is the problem.

  • Move Content-Aware tool missing adaptation options

Am I missing something, I don't see the adaptation options "structure" and "color" with my tool of content move abreast. I have only very loose and very strict.

That look like what I see in Photoshop CC.  Usage menu help > about Photoshop...  Make sure that your execution of 2014 and 14.2.1 does not.  You can started the wrong version.

  • I have Photoshop 2015 I don't see move content aware icon in the toolbar! I'm new to this software enjoy suggestions

I use CC PS 2015 I see your concealer too but do not see the icon for the movement to the current content as shown in the tutorials how can I move stuff on the photo?

  • There is no box selection to adaptation in my window of content aware movement

Why is there no adjustment box in my content of movement in the current window? There is a structure which is the same thing?

Your terminology is a little confusing, but if you want to know how to use the tool move content aware, this can help.

1, open a file and choose the move content aware tool. It is nested with healing and Patch tools. The Mode in the Options bar must be on Move.

    2. use Content Aware tool move to select an object and a small additional area around him. Click the center of the selection and drag the object to its new position.

NOTE: If you want to duplicate the object, leaving it in its current position and placing double elsewhere in the scene, change moving in the Options bar to extend before you move the selection.

  • Move to content aware - CC was last updated

I just ran the new update for Photoshop CC and tried to use Content Aware tool move.  However, the new options of adaptations do not appear.  Otherwise said, it does not show the choice of structure or color, with the mode move or extend, as shown in the Adobe piece "what's new" on their Web site.  Shown "adaptations" are "very strict, strict, medium, loose, very loose."  Windows 7, 64-bit, 32 GB of RAM, etc.

CC of Photoshop (2014) is a brand new application, that co-exists with your existing installation of 14.x Photoshop CC.

If you do not download/install Photoshop CC (2014) specifically, you do not have the new software.  If you installed, but accidentally fell the old CC of Photoshop 14.x, you do not run the new software.

  • Content-aware lack of options in drop-down list of selection of filling [in PSE12]

No matter what I do, how many times I reboot or even look for answers when I use the Select Content-aware tool, subtract, fill selection - I can't find the selection that supports the content in the drop-down list selection of filling. I am only offered foreground color, background color and color on all guides in Adobe also shown is Content-aware.  I have PSE12 and don't know what to do next?

Content Aware in the selection of fill is only in photoshop elements 13 and newer.

Photoshop elements 12 is not aware of content in the selection to fill dialog box.

  • my content aware tool is not completely remove the object that I chose

When I select an object to delete with content aware that he will remove all... it leaves a shadow of the object. I put it on the Normal and 100% opacity

There is something that I have worked on the right after the College became available.  It is not always doing things, so the trick is to provide only pixels you are happy so he can get the fill of.  So imagine the image below with the floating stone.  Red is a selection marked by the quick mask, I've done very quickly with the lasso tool.  By copying the selection into a new layer and then by selecting the stone and using the CAF, you can be sure that it won't catch the pixels of the bird or gravel to fill the repair area.

  • Lasso Tool contours remains after Content Aware Fill

So, I selected with the lasso tool and completed the content aware fill. I would like to make a few other changes to the image sharpness, but with the lasso tool still accuse of a contour of the area I did the content aware fill, it effects only the area of lasso-ed. How do the lasso-ed box disappear and keep my filling content up-to-date with change?

I hope this makes sense and I thank you for the help!

CTRL + D on Windows; Cmd + D on Mac. (Also allows to select > deselect in the menu bar.)
